Chapter 14

It's been over a week now since they got engaged and everything was perfect they've never been so happy.

"Hi mom, I've got a new student I'm tutoring today so I have to be in school early but I'm free after school if you still want to go shopping" Angel asked as she grabbed some breakfast her dad was still in bed only her and her mom got up really early.

"That's fine, have fun at school hopefully your tutoring session goes well, you wouldn't believe some of the assholes I had to tutor at school" Haley said as she drank some coffee.

"Really, didn't you tutor my dad" Angel asked.

"Yeah I did, but not all the time I only really started tutoring him after we got together and know one messed with me then, your dad was very protective and so was your uncle Lucas if anyone made me cry they would never do it again" Haley smiled when she thought back to it at the time she thought they were stupid and it wasn't necessary but now she loved that they would do that for her.

"That explains why dad didn't want me to tutor anyone, but I'm stubborn and eventually he gave in, but I'm sure he's threatened everyone on the team that if I ever get hurt they would be in for a world of pain" Angel laughed she could imagine how that conversation went.

"Knowing your father they wouldn't dare hurt you. Well I'll see you later after school I'll pick you up and then we can head to the mall" Haley said hoping everything went well.

"Bye mom, tell dad I'll see him at lunch time I want to go through some drills before the big game next week" Angel said as she left.

As Angel got to school she was nearly ran over by someone on a motorcycle what was this person doing riding a bike to school at this time of morning she could have been killed or hurt.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't see you, you just came out of nowhere" Brantley said as he stopped to see of the girl was ok.

"It's fine, it's my fault to I should have been looking where I was going, then again you shouldn't be driving that around school someone could get hurt" Angel said as she picked her books up.

"Sorry this is my first day, I didn't mean to startle you, I'm Brantley, do you know where the tutor centre is" Brantley asked as he turned off the ignition on his bike.

"Yeah I'm going that way I can show you, I'm tutoring there I'm Angel" Angel said as they started walking towards the school.

"Cool I think your my tutor I'm the new kid that needs help in English, talk about making a good impression I nearly kill you on the first day" Brantley said as he walked with her.

"It's ok really I'm a klutz so I probably would have stumbled into you anyway, so your new here" Angel asked as they made it to the tutor centre.

"Yeah I just moved here from New York to live with my uncle apparently my mom couldn't live with me anymore so it was here or nowhere" Brantley said as they sat down.

"Well you'll love Tree Hill it's a good town, we have a really good basketball team if you like sports" Angel suggested she felt for him it's not nice to not feel wanted.

"Not really a fan of basketball, I love mechanics anything with an engine I'm hooked I built my Harley from scratch it was left to me when I was six when my dad died and about eight years ago I decided to fix it up and now it runs like a dream" Brantley said he couldn't explain it he felt he could tell Angel everything he knew she was a good person and she wouldn't judge him.

"Wow that's awesome, my uncle owns a garage it used to be my granddad's, if you want I can get you a job there, I'm sure Lucas could do with the help" Angel suggested he could learn a trade while he was at school and it would look good on college applications.

"Really wow thanks I'm glad you're my tutor I was expecting some old hag not a someone my own age" Brantley smiled he was glad he agreed to do this now.

"Thanks, so we'll start on the stuff we've been working on in English" Angel smiled as she took her notes out she was glad she met him he seemed really nice.

Haley's been working in the studio for hours when Nathan walked through the door with some food from his mom's cafe, she couldn't love him more in this moment how he knew she was hungry she couldn't explain it they were so in tuned.

"Hi Hales, I got your favourite" Nathan smiled as he sat down opposite her on her desk.

"Oh thank you so much, Nate have I told you today how much I love you" Haley smiled as she leaned over the table to kiss him.

"You're welcome I love you too, I spoke to Angel before she said you're going out shopping later" Nathan said as he took the food out of the bags.

"We are, I spoke to Mandy earlier and she was so hurt, that she wasn't going to be my maid of honor but she understands why I want to ask Angel. I felt awful and I know your right I should have told her sooner but it's not my fault she just assumed she was going to be my maid of honor sometimes I swear there are two Brooke Davis in this world. But after a few tears she's agreed to be bridesmaid and she said she'll help Angel in all the areas Angel will need help in due to her age" Haley said as she took a bite of garlic bread.

"Oh hales" Nathan said as he burst out laughing she was so dramatic she's been worried about this for days.

"Hardy ha ha, Nathan it's alright for you, you're brother is your best man and you don't even have to ask him. I hate to see people hurt, but I want Angel to be my maid of honor so it will be special for her, I want to be close to my daughter and this will bring us together I want to be best friends I want to do things with her" Haley said she knew she's made the best decision.

"Hales everything will be fine, Angel's going to love that you're going to ask her. Tonight while you're out shopping Lucas and I are going to the Bobcat's game" Nathan said he's had the tickets for a while and it will be fun to go to a game.

"Sounds good have fun hopefully you win. So I've been working on some new songs and Mandy keeps telling me I should record but I really don't think I can do it, you know how shy I am, the recording it will be fine but how could I get up on stage and record it will be to hard" Haley sighed she really loved music but the thought of doing her own stuff made her nauseous.

"Haley you'll be fine if you want I can be here the world deserves to hear your voice, you remember when we were in high school and you recorded some stuff I played it for Peyton and she said how good you are. We all thought you left to pursue music" Nathan said he held her in his arms.

"Ok I'll give it a shot and just so you know I could never leave you not even for music and if I do begin singing I'm not going anywhere I'll just record and maybe if I get the courage do a few nights here at Tric" Haley said as he held her.

"Hales if you need to tour we could always tour during the summer it could be fun and I'm sure Angel would love to tour the country" Nathan smiled he wanted Haley to have everything she ever wanted he wasn't going to let Dan ruin their life anymore.

"Sounds perfect and even if I don't persue my own music we could still go on holiday this summer I want to show you my house in LA, I'm in the process of selling it, I was thinking while Angels in Spain we can head there so you can help me finish packing my stuff away and I can show you my studio" Haley suggested she really wanted to take him to where she used to live.

"I would love too well I better go I have practice soon" Nathan said as he got up.

"Bye have fun at practice, I love you" Haley said as she kissed him goodbye.

While Angel was waiting for her mom to pick her up she couldn't get Brantley out of her head she's never felt this way about a boy before and she was so confused.

"Hi Angel so who's the guy you were speaking to at lunch time" Lilly asked as she sat down.

"Oh that was Brantley I'm tutoring him, he's just moved here so I was showing him around" Angel said as she sat on the bench.

"Cool he's hot, did you see his bike Lucas would drool over it, so who you waiting for" Lilly asked as she sat with her niece.

"I'm waiting for my mom we're going shopping, well I better go mom's here say I to Nan for me and I'll see you tomorrow" Angel said as she hugged her goodbye.

"Hi Angel how was school" Haley asked as Angel sat in the car.

"It was good, I have a new assignment I need to work on it has to be in next week so Lilly and I are going to meet up tomorrow to work on it.

"That's good I'm here if you need any help, so I was wondering if you would like to be my maid of honor, you don't have to say yes if you don't want to but I would love it if you said yes" Haley rambled on.

"I would love too, wow this is so awesome, thanks for asking me I'd be honored I will do a good job" Angel smiled she hoped she would be she was so happy.

"I know you will, thanks for saying yes there is no one I'd want to, to do this for me" Haley said as she hugged her daughter.
