Chapter 15

Angel didn't know how she was going to ask her dad, she's never been on a date before and she was nervous, the best thing would be to ask when her mom was there that way her dad couldn't say no.

"Angel what's wrong you've been staring at your milkshake for the last ten minutes" Lilly asked she's never seen her niece so spaced out.

"Oh it's nothing, I'm going to head home, we'll meet up tomorrow we need to get our dresses for the wedding" Angel said as she got up to leave.

"Ok see you tomorrow if you need anything call me" Lilly said knowing she'll come to her eventually with whatever it is bothering her.

When Angel got home she saw her parents watching a movie she didn't want to disturb them but she needed to tell them before tomorrow.

"Hi Angel how was school" Haley asked as she noticed her daughter walk into the room.

"It was good, mom dad can I ask you something" Angel said as she sat down on the couch.

"What's up" Nathan asked as he turned the movie off.

"You know tomorrow night there's this event at Tric, well Brantley asked me earlier if I would go with him, and I said yes so I was wondering if that was ok, because I really want to go" Angel rambled on hoping they said she could.

"Of course you can, this is so awesome we'll go shopping tomorrow so you have something to wear" Haley smiled her daughter was growing up.

"Excuse me, no you are not, who's Brantley I don't know a Brantley, nope this is not happening" Nathan said as he got up she was too young she was only 15.

"Brantley is the new kid he's been at Tree Hill about a month he's in a few of my classes, I've been tutoring him, dad I'm old enough" Angel said getting annoyed she knew this would happen he was to protective.

"The punk who drives the Harley, he's a senior he's too old for you" Nathan said there was no way he was letting his little girl go out with a 17 year old.

"This is so unfair you were married not too much older than I am now and I'm just going on a date I ain't getting married" Angel yelled this was so unfair.

"Don't worry Angel, you can go, don't listen to your dad he's just being over protective" Haley said Nathan was being unfair their daughter was a good person and she trust her she was responsible and Haley didn't worry about anything happening.

"And I'm telling you can't" Nathan huffed why wouldn't they listen to him this wasn't happening.

"Thanks mom I'm going to go finish my homework" Angel smiled as she left the room.

"What the hell she's not going on this date do you have any idea what goes through a teenage boys mind, he's two years older he's going to take advantage of my little girl and I ain't going to let that happen I'm ringing Lucas he'd agree with me" Nathan said he knew he was right.

"Don't be stupid she's going to be just fine, Nathan she's going to date, not everyone falls in love like we did, and what would you know about other teenage boys we were 15 when we got together and we didn't do anything until we were married maybe Angel will be like us and wait until she's married which won't be for a long time don't worry, she already told me we were nuts to get married in High School" Haley said hoping he listened.

"Hales don't get mad, you've never bought it up before and when we first started dating I didn't think it be a good idea to bring it up because it was my past and it didn't matter to me, but I don't want to get remarried on lies but you wasn't my first" Nathan said he never expected to have this conversation.

"Oh, I just thought, huh what, when" Haley asked none of this was making any sense.

"I was 14 I was at the senior leaving party I was very drunk at the time, I don't remember much. Before you agreed to finally go out with me I dated quite a few girls I'm so sorry Haley, none of them meant anything to me, I thought you knew, I wish things were different I was just a stupid kid but I promise you as soon as you agreed to go out with me you were it for me, I never cheated on you, you have to believe me, I loved you too much to hurt you like that. I guess before you I was hurting and needed to fill a void" Nathan said as he saw her move away from him he felt so awful he never thought his past would come back and hurt her.

"Wow I don't know what to say, was one of them Brooke" Haley asked she heard Peyton and Bevin talking about it years ago but she thought nothing of it as she thought they were lying.

"Yes I slept with Brooke it was at a party, she wasn't dating my brother then and we were both drunk I'm so sorry, how did you know I slept with Brooke" Nathan asked this was when they were kids.

"I overheard a conversation I just thought they were lying, I didn't know you were a man whore. So who was your first" Haley asked needing to know she was still in shock to be having this conversation.

"It doesn't matter it didn't mean anything can we just forget we ever had this conversation" Nathan asked hoping they could just drop it.

"Who was it Nathan, what can be worse then you sleeping with one of my best friend" Haley said it was bad enough he slept with Brooke.

"I don't remember anything about that night except when I woke up the next day, I realized what I'd done I couldn't believe how stupid I'd been I left and I don't even think she knows what happened that night. I hated myself for doing that to you and I know we weren't together then, but I was in love with you that's when I knew I couldn't ask you out again it, I would hurt you that's when I let you go. For six months I didn't ask you out I kept my distance from you, it was killing me to see you every day and not ask you to be mine so I spent most of that time getting drunk I hated myself. But then I couldn't live without you anymore so I tried everything for you to go out with me and when you finally did I've never been so happy your it for me Hales, please forgive me" Nathan asked hoping she would.

"So that's why you ignored me, I thought I'd done something to you, maybe I'd hurt you by keep turning you down I swore if you asked me out again I'd give you chance because I needed you in my life, now I find our whole relationship was a lie, so who was she Nathan" Haley cried it had to be bad she just knew it.

"Haley are relationship was not a lie, I'm so sorry, if I could take this back I would. It was Taylor" Nathan said expecting a slap any minute.

"Taylor as in my sister, you slept with my sister, how could you do that, I may not have admitted my feelings for you then but I liked you, I was just scared of getting hurt you were popular I was a bookworm it wouldn't have worked, but I was wrong and I knew that as soon as we started dating, we had this connection. How am I supposed to deal with this you slept with my sister" Haley cried she wasn't expecting this anyone else she probably would have been able to handle but her sister that's all kinds of twisted shit.

"I'm so sorry Hales I really wish it hadn't happened, can you please forgive me, I forgave you for leaving me" Nathan said hoping she would.

"Excuse me, are you going to throw that into my face every time we have an argument that I left, that's not how our marriage is going to be I will not put up with that Nathan" Haley cried she couldn't believe he's bringing up her leaving to win an argument.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that but this was nearly seventeen years ago your acting as if I just slept with her" Nathan said this was being blown out of proportion.

"If you'd just slept with her believe me we would be planning our divorce not a wedding. I can't believe you expect me to be ok with this, how would you feel if I told you I lost my virginity to Lucas and didn't tell you about it because we were drunk and it didn't mean anything" Haley yelled as she got up she couldn't believe this.

"Don't be stupid, you and Lucas our like siblings" Nathan said wishing the conversation would end.

"That is not the point, you just don't get it, I'm going out I can't look at you right now" Haley cried as she walked out on him. She's never felt pain like this to find out Nathan had slept with her sister it ripped her heart from her chest.

Nathan couldn't believe what just happened how could he have been so stupid he should have told her about this years ago. He never meant to keep it from her, but it didn't mean anything.
