Chapter Seven : Price of power

At night in the whispering woods on the Rustbucket 3, Ben and Kevin were sleeping peacefully until.

Wake up! Wake up you 2! " Gwen yelled"

5 more minutes mom. "Ben muttered"

"Gwen then sigh and then yelled loudly" Ben! Kevin! Wake up!

Cmon I finally get to sleep peacefully after all that work on the robots. "Kevin said"

Stop whinning you 2 we got an emergency. "Gwen said which got both of there attention"

What is it, did the Horde attack Brightmoon? "Ben asked"

No its-"She was cut off"

Did they steal my car? "Kevin asked"

Did the Horde take over Brightmoon? "Ben asked"

NO! A horde soldier snuck in the palace an hour ago. "Gwen explained"

Ok we better head there quick. "Ben said which he then wore his jacket and proceeds to follow Gwen"

Meanwhile at Brightmoon

In the halls Brightmoon Queen Angella was walking along with guard and Castaspella a fairly light skinned woman and has black hair, similar to her brother, Micah. Her hair is in a bun with two long strands hanging down. She wears a long purple dress with a pink cape, and a circular gold crown with a gold star that appears like the sun in the center and the head sorceress.

Double the perimeter and triple it at the Moonstone. "Queen Angella ordered" No one sleeps until we figure out how Shadow Weaver got into the castle.

Then she stop at a door which is guarded.

Why are we stopping here? "Castaspella asked"

This is where we're holding the prisoner. "Angella explained"

This is your prison? "Castaspella asked"

Well, technically it's a spare room, but it is more than adequate as a holding cell. "Angela answered"

But Castaspella just stared at her.

We removed the cusions. "Angell said"

This is the prison? "Adora asked as they arrived with Glimmer and Bow"

Yes it's the prison. "Angela answered while getting annoyed"

Then Ben, Gwen and Kevin arrived

Hey guys. "Gwen said while Ben and Kevin seems to be sleepy behind her"

Wait is this the prison? "Kevin asked while pointing at the door"

Yes it's the prison. "Angella answered with annoyance"

Your Majesty, I know Shadow Weaver. I know her tricks. I need to be there for the interrogation, I'm the only one who- "Adora was cut off"

That is final. "Angella said as she and Castaspella entered the room and the guard blocked them from the door. "

"Adora grunted and said" I need to get in there. Shadow Weaver could have gone anywhere, but she came here. I need to know why. If the queen would just listen to me-

Adora maybe is for the best. Shadow Weaver raised you. She knows how to get in your head. "Glimmer explained" We can't risk her manipulating you. That won't happen.

"Adora made a fake yawn and said" Fine. I guessed we should all just head back to bed, get some sleep, heh, let the obviously unqualified Brightmoon Guard handle this.

Then the guard started yawning which also made Ben and Kevin yawn.

Your gonna try sneaking in aren't you? "Bow asked"

What? No. "She then chuckles and charges towards the door which Glimmer stop and teleported her away which left Bow"

Hey Bow who's this Shadow Weaver your talking about? "Gwen asked"

Shadow Weaver is the one who raised Adora in the Horde as a child and she is very dangerous, so thats why we keep her away from Adora. "Bow explained"

So what we're gonna do? "Gwen asked"

We'll keep an eye on her. "Bow answered"

Later at Adora's room

Bow, Glimmer, Ben, Gwen, and Kevin are keeping an eye at Adora. Ben and Kevin are sitting at chairs each sides of the exit. Gwen fell a sleep to rest while Glimmer and Bow are infront of Adora staring at her but Glimmer, Ben, and Kevin fell asleep. Bow and Adora were staring at each other which Adora then closed her eyes which made Bow think she fell asleep which he then sleeps. Adora then open her eyes and exited the room and started sneaking in the hallway.

Adora! "Gwen yelled as she grab her with her mana and drag her back to the room."

Minutes later Adora attempts another escape by climbing a rope but was caught by Glimmer who was waiting for her above. At the third attempt she tried disguising as a guard but almost successsd but stop by an actual guard and then suddenly Ben As XLR8 a semi-armored Velociraptor. He has black orbs on his feet and wears a black cone-like helmet with a sliding protective visor. he has five blue stripes on his tail and wears black pants and a turtleneck-like shirt with a white stripe on the center then snatch and sent her back to her room leaving a motion trail which wake up Bow.

Look, I told you, I just need to talk to her. "Adora explained as Ben transformed back"

Ugh. Adora, Shadow Weaver will try to hurt you again. "Glimmer stated"

You don't know that. "Adora replied"

Yes, I do. She's from the Horde. She's evil. Evil people won't change. "Glimmer explained"

Well, you're kinda wrong there Glimmer. "Ben replied"

What do you mean? "Glimmer asked" Shadow Weaver imprison us and torture us, why would you think i'm wrong.

Evil people can change like 6 years ago Kevin was not a good guy as you see him today. "Ben explained"

Kevin once my arch enemy who wants to steal my Omnitrix and he was also dangerous back then and look at him now, he has changed. "Ben explained pointing Kevin"

And there is once this alien, a Highbreed they have sought to destroy my universe back then one of them I met save my life in a desert wasteland planet.

My point is evil people can change Glimmer even the worst can change and Adora was once from the Horde and she change side to you."Ben explained"

I was just like the rest of them, and then I left. Not because I picked up this sword, but because it was the right thing to do.I have to believe the rest of them can change even Shadow Weaver. Later at the halls Bow started distracting Angella and Castaspella while Ben used XLR8 to sneak them in a blink of an eye.

Well that was weird. "Glimmer said quietly which then Ben transformed back"

Where's Kevin? "Adora asked"

We let him go to sleep he's very tired after all that work from building those bots. "Ben stated"

Ben, Gwen, Bow and Glimmer walk towards a Dark figure who has a cracked mask and seems very weak.

Adora. "Shadow Weaver called out for her"

Listen up lady. After all your kidnapping and mind wiping. I am looking forward for a reason to serve up a little payback. So, if you do anything to hurt Adora- "Glimmer was interrupted when Ben and Gwen pulled her back"

Woah easy on the Shadow Weaver Glimmer. "Ben said"

Ah so you are the famous Ben Tennyson who can change into many creatures that give the Horde so much trouble. "Shadow Weaver said but Ben was silent"

"Adora then walk closer to Shadow Weaver and she said" Look at you, My Adora.

And then Shadow Weaver started coughing hard

What's going on? "Gwen asked"

It took all of my magical powers to come to you. I am dying Adora. "She explained"

You're lying. "Adora denied"

No she's dying her mana seems to be fading. "Gwen said"

Shadow Weaver continue to cough until Adora then grabbed her sword and yelled

I don't know why you're here, but I won't let you suffer like this. "She stated" I'm going to heal you Shadow Weaver, and then you answer our questions. Do we have a deal?

"Shadow Weaver started to laugh and explained" You want the Truth? I have nowhere to go. Catra betrayed me. Hordak cast me aside. I wanna take them down. And helping you is the best way to do it. Hordak has been working for years to build a machine capable of opening portals through fabric of space. He intends to bring the rest of the Horde's army through this portal, and use them to conquer Etheria, once and for all.

Well during that fight one of Eon's pieces of his armor left from the fight was taken by one of the Horde's soldiers since he can travel into different universes including yours there able to use to help power the portal which means he also could travel into the Omniverse or your Universe young master Tennyson. "He explained"

Our Universe? "Ben asked"

Have he succeeded making the portal? "Ben asked"

Which her line shock everyone in the room except Paradox.

Adora then runs away from the room.

Where are you going? Adora? "Glimmer calls out for her friend"

Well I better head on my way. "Paradox said"

Wait aren't you gonna help us? "Glimmer asked"

Later at Adora's room Kevin has finally woke up

Meanwhile with Glimmer and Bow

So what we're gonna do? The horde we fought was just a small group and how do you think we can beat it's large group? "Bow asked"

I think we should wait for Adora to return for our next plan. "Bow said"

Well we shouldn't have let her talk to Adora. I can't even imagine how she is feeling right now. "Glimmer said"

And suddenly Adora arrived

Adora? "Glimmer called out for her and 5 of them went towards Adora.

Are you okay? " Bow asked"

I'm not sure yet. But I think I know what I have to do. My whole life people have been hiding the truth from me. So I'm gonna look for answers by myself. Mara started all of this when she stranded Etheria. She's the only clue we have about portals, and me. I'm going to the Crimson Waste. I am going to follow the message from Mara. I know it's incredibly dangerous but it's my choice. You don't have to come with me. "Adora said"

Adora of course we're coming with you. "Glimmers replied"

You think you could get us to stay behind If you tried? "Said Bow"

Sorry to interrupt this sweet moment but what is the Crimson Waste? "Kevin asked which and then a following question came from Ben"And who's Mara?

"Gwen then elbowed 2 of them and said" Not the time guys.

Don't worry we'll tell you on the way in there. "Said Adora"

Well what are you waiting for? Let's go. "Ben said"

And whatever challenge is coming to us we will be ready. "Said Adora"
