Author Note
Hey. Back with a New Life
There more I write this, the more this story doesn't fit the title or the original story line I had for it.
I apologise in advance, but this chapter about to get real deep. Is it what you would call angst? Kindly clarify that for me in the comments.
By the way, I'm writing this while I'm work. My boss will end me if its discovered I wrote this on company time. Shhhhhh
Enjoy!

"So let me get this straight," Neji began, his facial expression very much annoyed,"you just and readily agreed to having 'revenge' with the assistance of Sasuke Uchiha of all people?"
"Yes," Hinata mumbled.
"And he did this willingly?" Neji asked.
"Yes"
Neji sighed, more annoyed than before. Hinata had just explained to them her involvement with Sasuke and she was not getting positive feedback from them.
Ten-Ten spoke up, "Hinata, on a good day, and I mean a really good one, this would be romantic but this is something else"
"I know but I..."
"I don't think you realise the extent of the situation you're in," Neji cut in, "You're dispute with your father aside, dealing with the Uchihas has always been frowned upon by the Hyuugas for a reason. And Sasuke Uchiha is the worst lot of them"
Neji sighed before continuing, "Hinata, you don't need that Uchiha for anything. In fact don't even bother with him, he's only trouble. Your father contacted me. He wants you back in Japan to explain yourself to the elders. I suggest you get yourself together and stop moping"
"Neji!" Ten-Ten exclaimed, following him out of the room and leaving Hinata alone.
Hinata slumped against the leather sofa she was sitting on and ran her hands over her face and through her hair, letting them hang limply behind her.
|What on earth am I doing? She wondered, shutting her eyes.
It was easy to be swept away by the tides of rushed decisions and adrenaline. But once those tides slowed and revealed the damage that lay beneath, it made the smack of reality all the more painful.
"But what do you expect me to do?" Hinata asked to one in particular. a string of tears slipped through her eyes, but no sound escaped her lips.
Here's what Hinata knew, if she did as her father, as the Hyuuga wanted, it was game-over.
She would be another human being seemingly sucked into the endless cycle of a Hyuuga lifestyle.
Born a Hyuuga, live for the Hyuuga, die a slave for the Hyuuga. Thinking about it now, she felt as though there were shackles on her hands.
If her family weren't so imposing, would she have felt this way?
What Sasuke offered her was a way out of those shackles by going against those that chained her in the first place. Hinata didn't have to feel tied to anything apart from her own fears of doing something she had never done before.
Could she still live in that illusion? Could she still have that sense of freedom ?
The following morning when Ten-Ten came to check on Hinata, she cried bloody murder.
Hinata was gone.
