/this is my first RWBY x FNAF story so bear with me. {heh FNAF pun} chapter 1 is a flashback to the bite of 83
Year: 1983
Location: Fredbear's family diner
-FLASHBACK-
"OH, MY GODS!" screams of terror could be heard throughout the diner as the police and ambulance arrived to deal with the incident. "that poor kid." one woman said from the crowd of patrons that gathered outside. "what the hell is wrong with them?" another patron asked as they looked trying not to throw up. "oh gods." the security guard said as he stared at the animatronic. "what were those kids thinking?" he sighed as he shut down the fredbear and spring bonnie animatronics. The next few days were filled with the location being shut down and abandoned as the company was being sued.
-time skip 10 years-
It had been 10 years since the bite of '83 and the kids that went missing, since then fredbears' family diner had been shut down and had reopened under a new name in vale. "Freddy fazursa's pizzeria" a family friendly place for kids and adults alike, a place where kids could enjoy games, pizza, music, and animatronic hijinks. At least that's what ruby thought as she read the newspaper clipping while munching on a cookie in the dining hall of beacon academy. "whatcha got there ruby?" yang asked as she walked up to her sister and team leader.
"huh? Oh, just a job listing for that new pizzeria that opened up in vale. I'm thinking of applying for it as a summer job." ruby replied as she grabbed another cookie. "isn't that the place where those kids went missing all those years ago?" Weiss inquired while sitting down. "yes, but I highly doubt those rumors are true." Blake pointed out not looking up from her book. "I don't know ruby, are you sure it's safe?" yang asked with concern in her voice. "I'll be fine. It's just a 6-hour shift for 5 days." ruby replied assuring her that it was safe. Boy was she wrong.
"ok, ruby. But I still don't think it's a good idea." yang replied. "I'll be fine yang. Besides I need the lien if I'm going to be able to afford that upgrade for crescent rose." ruby replied pointing to her weapon. As she pointed that out team JNPR approached. "hey guys, whatcha talking about?" Juane asked as he sat down. "ruby is thinking about getting a job at Freddy fazursa's." Blake pointed out, still not lifting her head up from her book. "well if you plan to apply you better get going ruby, the vale docks close in a few hours." Pyrrha pointed out. "oh, my oum! Your right!" ruby exclaimed as she got up and started running to the docks to catch a bullhead to vale.
An hour later ruby arrived in vale and was heading to Freddy fazursa's. Entering the building she noticed the stage to the right of the room, on stage was 3 animatronics, Freddy, bonnie, and Chica. The left of the stage in the corner of the room was a curtain with a sign in front of it saying "out of order." not thinking too much about it she walked back to the main office where the owner of the restaurant was sitting at his desk.
Approaching the door, she knocked softly. "come in." a voice from behind the door said. Opening the door, she stepped in. "uhm. Hello sir, my name is ruby rose, I'm here to apply for the night guard position?" "ah, welcome. My name is henry Emily. Welcome to Freddy fazursa's miss rose. So, you are here to apply huh?" he replied. "y-yes sir. I saw the advert in the paper, and I thought I'd apply Cuz I need the lien." she replied chuckling slightly while rubbing the back of her head. "well. No one else has applied so your hired." henry replied standing up and shaking her hand. "follow me and I'll give you the tour." he said motioning for her to follow him.
Walking out of the office she followed henry as they began to the tour. "as you probably already noticed when you walked into the Restraunt. We have the stage over there, on stage is Freddy, bonnie and Chica. And over there is pirates cove with foxy. He is currently out of order due to a malfunction in the wiring we think. We're not sure what is causing it." he pointed out as they walked past the stage and pirates cove. "bathrooms are back there, the kitchen is over there, the dining hall is here, the game room is back there, and last but not least is the security office. I think our day guard is still here so you will be able to meet him." he said as they walked back to the security office.
The current day guard was sitting in the chair checking the cams. "ah, MR. Smith, This is ruby rose, our new night guard. She starts tomorrow." henry said introducing her to the day guard. "ah, a pleasure to meet you miss rose. I'm fritz smith. The day guard, welcome to the fazursa family ruby." Fitz said with a smile. "y-yea, thanks." she replied with a smile. "well, introductions aside, here is your uniform, torch and keys. The shift starts at midnight tomorrow night be sure to come in early to get familiarized with the camera system." henry said as he handed her the uniform and equipment. "yes sir. I'll be here." she replied taking her uniform and heading off back to beacon.
