The Fourth Night
Time: 6:45 A.M.
As ruby slowly walked away from Freddy's and headed towards the air docks back to beacon, she couldn't help but stop and look back at Freddy's where she could have sworn, she saw 6 small crying figures in the window of the dining hall for a split moment before disappearing. She shook her head and turned back towards the air docks and kept walking, dismissing what she saw as stress. She didn't care, she was on her way home for the day and was excited to have a talk with Blake.
An hour later she stepped off the bullhead and back onto beacon grounds. Walking towards the dorms she seen team jnpr {juniper} stumbling out of the dorms and heading towards the dining hall. "morning jaune" ruby said as she walked up to them heading towards the dorms. "morning ruby, holy cow you look like crap. Rough night at work again?" jaune replied looking her over closely he seen she was covered in sweat and her eyes were dull from exhaustion. "yea, you could say that. Hehe." ruby replied rubbing the back of her head. "well, I got to get to bed. Do me a favor and let Ms. Goodwitch know I won't be in class today, will you?" she asked him. "oh, yea sure." he replied as she walked off into the dorms and he caught up to his team heading to the dining hall.
Walking into her dorm room she noticed yang and Weiss were still asleep and Blake was reading her 'ninjas of love v4' book. "hey ruby. Welcome home." Blake said looking up from her book, her yellow eyes shining in the early morning light. "rough night again?" she asked as ruby went into the bathroom and got ready to shower. "yea, very rough. Stupid foxy wouldn't stop showing up at the door, I almost ran out of power." ruby replied before getting in the shower. After showering ruby got dressed in her normal night attire and threw her uniform in the washer before climbing up to her bed and laying down on it staring at the ceiling.
"so, about yesterday." Blake said looking up at ruby. "yea, I feel the same about you Blake." ruby replied rolling over to face Blake. "y-you do?" Blake asked looking up at ruby with shock in her eyes. "yes. I do." ruby replied before motioning for Blake to join her on her bed. "get up here a sec." ruby said as she moved over so Blake could join her. "o-ok" Blake replied before getting up and climbing onto ruby's bed and sitting next to her.
Ruby sat up and pulled Blake close to her. "you know, your cute in the mornings." she said as she smirked looking into her eyes, she then pulled Blake into a kiss. Blake embraced the kiss and hugged ruby while kissing her. "well, I was wondering when you two were going to get together." yang said as she startled them causing them to break off the kiss. "yang! Gah, I told you not to scare me like that!" ruby yelled at her before throwing a pillow at the blonde brawler. "gah!" yang said as the pillow hit her in the face knocking her off her feet. "hahaha. Nice hit sis." she said as she threw the pillow back at her. The next few minutes could be best described as the most intense pillow fight in all of remnant.
After the hurricane of pillows was calmed down the rest of the team went and got dressed as ruby yawned and went to bed. She woke up at 9:30 to find Blake was sleeping in her bed next to her, she got up quietly and got dressed in her uniform and kissed Blake goodnight as she put her hat on and headed off to work. The air was cold and crisp as she walked the streets of vale heading to work, she couldn't help but feel a sense of unease as she walked towards the building. Opening the door, she felt a wave of dread rush over her as she walked into the building and headed towards the back office.
"hey Fritzy. Ready for shift change." she said as she walked into the office. "anything strange happen today?" she asked as she hung up her jacket. "oh, hey ruby, no nothing too strange happened today. How'd it goes with your teammate?" he replied getting up and grabbing his jacket. "I think you mean girlfriend." she replied with a smirk. "congrats ruby. Well, I get to get going, see Ya in the morning" he replied before walking out of the office and heading home.
She sat down in the chair and grabbed the tablet as the phone began to ring once again.
"- Hello, hello? Hey! Hey, wow, day 4. I knew you could do it.
Uh, hey, listen, I may not be around to send you a message tomorrow. *banging* It's-It's been a bad night here for me. Um, I-I'm Kinda glad that I recorded my messages for you *clears throat* uh, when I did."
"what do you mean by that?" she asked knowing full well he couldn't reply. "Uh, hey, do me a favor. *banging* Maybe sometime, uh, you could check inside those suits in the back room? *banging* I'm going to try to hold out until someone checks. Maybe it won't be so bad. *bang bang* Uh, I-I-I-I always wondered what was in all those empty heads back there. *chime plays*." "what the heck was that noise?" she asked as she checked the cams and found bonnie in cam 1b, Chica in cam 3, foxy was peeking out already and Freddy was still on stage. "You know...*deep moan* oh, no - *noises followed by a loud screech and static*"
"well, that was as helpful as usual." she said to herself rolling her eyes as she checked the cams again and found bonnie in cam 2b and she quickly closed the left door. Checking the other cams, she found Chica in the dining hall, foxy was back in his cove, and Freddy was still on stage. "ok, 4 am. You can do this." she said to reassure herself. Checking the cams, she noticed strange writing appeared on the walls of cam 5. "what the heck?" she looked at the writing for a second before checking the other cams, bonnie was in the hallway, Chica in the kitchen, Freddy onstage and foxy on his way. She slammed the door button on the left just as foxy slammed into it. "ha, take that foxy." she said as she stuck her tongue out at the door.
She checked the cams again and noticed she only had 15% power and it was only 5 am. "uh oh." she began to check the cams less to ty and save power. Sure, enough it worked and 6 am rolled around. "phew. 6 am. Only one more night to go. I wonder what that strange writing was on the walls of cam 5" she said to herself as she got up and left the office seeing fritz coming in. "hey fritz, did you ever notice strange writing on the walls of cam 5?" she asked him.
"no, I never did. Why what did you see?" he replied. "I saw strange writing on the wall of cam 5 that said 'save us' and 'it's me'" she replied. "well, that's strange. But it's probably just your mind playing tricks on Ya." he said before heading off to the office. "yea, maybe." she said as she looked at the animatronics which seemed to look right at her. A few minutes later and she was on her way back to beacon.
