Differences from canon and just notes:
Rain assumes that Cloud Spots' name is Cloudspots, because she is used to clan names, and Cloud Spots calls her Leafpaw because he does not respect BloodClan.
I have changed Cloudy's personality from the Dawn of The Clans book.
I have added BloodClan customs - One rip in a cats' ear means they are a trainee, two mean they are a full member - The Trials have been added as a way for Trainees to receive their collars, because surely not all of them were kittypets, right?
I'm probably going to make some mistakes relating to canon timing and stuff, just throwing that out there now.
Ooh, and here's part I have written out because I have no time management skills.
Rain lay down on the hardwood floor of the twoleg den, and closed her eyes, waiting for sleep to overtake her. When she opened them again, she was standing in a bright forest, prey scent filling her nose.
"Cloudspots!" She exclaimed happily as she noticed the fluffy black and white tom, sitting in the grass with his tail curled around his little white paws. He purred.
"Leafpaw! Lovely to see you again. Shall we continue your lessons?" He asked. Rain nodded eagerly. The tom padded over to a bush, and flicked his tail at a small plant beneath it.
"This is..?" He turned to her.
"Tansy!" She replied, rushing forwards.
"What are these?" She asked, pulling a berry off of the bush with her teeth to study it. Cloud Spots slammed into her side, causing the berry to fly out of her mouth.
"Those are deathberries." He said pointedly. Rain gave him a sheepish look.
"I'm assuming that's not just a fun nickname?" She said with a wry look. He laughed.
"Nope. Yewberries, also known as Deathberries, are poisonous. Do not eat. Pretty much as a rule of thumb, don't put random plants you find in your mouth unless you know what they are."
Rain nodded.
"Lesson learned. What now, oh wise mentor?"
He slapped her gently with his fluffy black tail.
"Now, I think you need to learn to respect your elders!" He exclaimed in mock disbelief. She giggled, and bounced away, deeper into the forest.

Cinderpelt padded out of her strong-smelling medicine den, holding her permanently damaged leg up to her belly. A sprig of thyme was grasped in her jaws, as she carried it to the leaders' den. Firestar hadn't been the same since his kits had been killed by the fox, and the entire clan was feeling the gaping hole where their noble leader had been. The last time that they had seen Firestar acting like his old self was Bramblepaw's apprentice ceremony. Larchkit and Hollykit had starved to death, and Ferncloud had been devestated. Firestar came to offer him murmured condolences, and the two had talked for a while, before Firestar went back to his slump. As Cinderpelt entered the den, the thyme clasped between her sharp front teeth, she heard shouts echoing.
"Firestar, get up! This is not you! The clan needs their leader, and it's not fair of you to put that much responsibility on Graystripe! You even missed the last gathering, for StarClan's sake!" Sandstorm shouted.
"Sandstorm I- I can't. I don't want to go on. I don't think I can." A sharp sound, as though Sandstorm had slapped her mate, came out of the den.
"You can, and you will. Do not talk like that! You have cats to look after, and i'll bet Brambleclaw is lost without you! So please, please, Firestar, if you love any cat in your clan, get up." The soft rustle of moss and creak of unused joints drifted out.
"Now, you should go join a patrol. Regain the clan's trust, help them know you won't leave them again. I'll go with you." Too late, Cinderpelt realized she should probably leave, and she nearly bumped noses with Firestar.
"Oh, Cinderpelt. Hello." Firestar said a monotone.
"How long have you been outside?" Sandstom asked as if she were interrogating her. Cinderpelt ducked her head.
"Just a bit. I brought some more thyme. I'm assuming you don't need it?" She started to back away. Firestar shook his head.
"No, but do you have something to give me strength?" Firestar asked, his voice tired. Cinderpelt nodded rapidly. He clearly needed it.
"Let me grab some chamomile, and maybe some juniper berries." Cinderpelt said, padding to her den.
She quickly grabbed what she was looking for, picking the blue berry and the small white flowers, taking them back to her waiting leader.
"Thank you." Firestar said softly as he gulped them up. Sandstorm brushed her pelt against his, and Cinderpelt couldn't help but feel a tiny needle of sadness in her heart. Maybe in a different world, that could have been her. And maybe in that world, Leafkit would have lived, and become her apprentice. Sandstorm and Firestar's smaller kit had a real knack for healing, and spent time routinely in the medicine den with Cinderpelt. With a small sigh, Cinderpelt thought of all the things that could have been. If only.. But 'if only'ies helped no one, and could change nothing. She had to focus on the things she could change. Such as her clan, that she had devoted her entire life to helping.
Smoke yawned, glancing around the small space he shared with the other three trainees, including his brother, Ash. Rain and Flame, probably because they were ThunderClan, slept in the old twoleg den, and were closely guarded. When he had started observing Flame, it worried him. She probably was more likely to become leader than he was, due to the whole, "We'll have them kill him!" He had started befriending her, and found she was actually a really fun cat. They even had apparently had their Trials on the same day. He had just leapt into the garden and slain the kittypet, and he got a light blue collar for it. There was a small bloodstain on the side, but he would wash that out later. Yawning, he padded outside to wait for Flame to return.
