When I died, I literally went out with a BOOM. Some guy at the mall decided it was a great idea to bring a grenade and then proceeded to pull the pin in the center of the plaza to prove some weird point about his fanatic religion. Anyway, for some reason the moment he pulled the pin, I was reminiscent of the scene in Captain America where he dived on top of a grenade to save his comrades, i somehow thought it was a fantastic idea to try the exact same thing. Except, you know, I died instead of surviving and then lauded as a courageous hero. I was really banking on the idea of me surviving, sadly real life isn't like the movies.

Now, this is the story about how my entire life was flipped upside down and became part of a fairy tale. I woke up in the mountains, surrounded by nothing but dark oaks and green leaves, there were distant screeches and caws from what I could only assume are birds. It would be terrifying if I hadn't already died and somehow got reincarnated. When you've finally breached what all humanity has feared, everything else becomes rather dull. How did I know I reincarnated? Because this body that I now possess isn't my original. It was going to take some time to get used to it. First of all, my hair was now green, I don't know how genetics work in this world but green is such a weird variety that I can't help but believe that I'm in some weird magical world. My eyes weren't exactly normal either, one was blue while the other was red. If there was a price for being a rainbow then my genetics definitely seems to have won the lottery. I seemed to also have revert back to an 11 year old. Regardless of who sent me here or their purpose, I decided that I would do things my way, it's just too much work to account for all the ifs and conspiracy theories. Being given a second chance to live was enough of a symbol for me to realize that this time in life, I should give less fucks and do what ever that I wanted to do.

With all that said and done, I dusted my clothes which barely passed as clothes, maybe my family was poor before I possessed this body? There weren't many clues to go off. What did I find were the words 'Xun Gale' etched and carved on a rock, i can only assume that is this kid's name. Don't worry kid, you've given me a second chance and so it's only fair that I'll take up your name and make it an absolute legend. I swear it upon my life, either I'll accomplish it or I'll die trying. But first, to get out of here...

Suddenly, what sounded like a roar echoed from a distance away. All my instincts instantly told me that it was dangerous, whatever it was. I immediately sought shelter but it was too late as the thing suddenly barreled itself towards me, bursting from the trees, it jumped high and once more roared. It looked like a cross between a monkey, a gorilla and minotaur. What in God's entire green earth was that thing?

It rammed straight at me, launching me across the forest as I slammed full force on the back of a tree. It hurts it hurts it hurts. Everything hurts, my entire body felt like it was on fire. I could feel the bone fractures in my body. The pain was nowhere near the humiliation and confusion that I felt though. What was going on? Is this some sort of sick joke? The moment I get a second chance in life to immediately die again? That's got to be one cruel joke god.

And then the monster spoke,

'Fresh Meatttttt'

I whimpered. Was this it? Is it going to end here? My second chance in life about to be completely snuffed out before it even began.

Was this how I wanted to really end my life?

No fucking way.
Absolutely no fucking way.
NO FUCKING WAYYYYyYy

I still have so much to live for, both for myself and the boy that passed on. He entrusted me his body for a reason and I ain't going to let the journey end here. I felt something in me responding to my emotions, it felt powerful, natural and raw. I decided to accept and draw on the power that I felt in my soul and out shot a string of pure white. No way... my mind instantly went to the strings of Doflamingo that I always admired and envied from One Piece. Maybe my desperation and admiration resulted in me gaining his abilities? I could experiment and test my hypothesis later. But first I got a monster to kill.

The string of was barely a meter long but somewhere deep in my soul I knew that it could take the abuse that I was about to do. Purely off adrenaline, I rushed at the piece of meat that was going to be my dinner. My body protested at every move but I persevered, I ain't dying today. The monster roared as he swiped low intending to crush me alive when I dived out of the way, right behind his feet. I quickly scrambled up his back, the monster gave an ear shattering shriek as he started trying to shake me off but I clung on and efficiently looped the string around the monster's neck. I clutched hard. I lost track of the time as I continued clutching with all my might, uncaring of the pain as the monster crashed through the trees to get me off.

The monster started breathing harder and eventually stopped moving. I gave one final tug to make sure that the monster was dead. The experience was thrilling and exhilarating. I never felt so alive before. I won. Gotta find shelter first though.
