Tager wakes up hearing his alarm go off. "What? 4 signals? They are coming in fast! I'll contact Ragna. Who could be those guys? We would be lucky if it were just some punks. It might be even worse news, they might be Izanami's henchmen. I need to check the cameras." The cameras started to reboot at the wrong time. "Damn, this might take a while...who are these people?"
Ragna was sleeping and Rachel followed. They were in an embrace. She slept quite fast because of the current weather condition. It was raining and it was a little cold. They cuddle tighter comfortably to feel each other's warmth during the cold climate.
Nine and Celica were being carried by Minerva while she was gliding extremely fast with Jubei was running beside Minerva.
"I'm pretty impressed that you can still run for an hour straight Mitsuyoshi."
"Mr. Jubei, why did you even disagree in the first place? Look at you! You'll get sick after being soaked from the rain!" She was reaching out her hand to him. He declines.
"I needed an exercise. I'm gettin' old and I wanna do somethin' to keep me in good shape."
"You should've told me sooner darling." She makes a fireball with her index finger, "How about a little obstacle course hm? It's something we can do to relieve the boredom going on right now. This'll dry you up as well since my little sister here is concerned about your health." she smiles a little.
"Big sis? I don't think that's a good id-" She immediately stays back from the flame Nine was creating.
"THINK FAST!" she hurls a fireball
"WOAH! Konoe?! We can do this later!" He dodges, then sees balls of fire and water coming at him. "Darling! Not-" He sees a giant orb slowly approaching him "What the...?"
"Andradite of Accord!" It releases a dark energy blast in four directions. He runs leaning his front near the ground. He is now running, maintaining his posture, and began avoiding the laser. "KONOE!"
"What the hell?" Tager feels a rumbling nearby, "The cameras aren't still booting up and these explosions are coming from the tracked signals here."
A distant voice coming from their communicator, disturbing the two.
"Ragna! Ragna! You there?!"
Rachel wakes up first. She lets go of Ragna and gets up. "Ugh, we were having a peaceful slumber." she pinches the bridge of her nose. She picks up the communicator beside the lamp on her side. "What is it?"
"Madame Rachel! Please get up along with Ragna right now! A potential threat is nearby."
She taps his cheek.
Ragna could hear an angelic voice. "Ragna~" He quietly moves closer to Rachel, "Rach, you can go ahead..." that made him feel dreamy even more. He felt a pinch on his cheek and opens his right eye. "Ow...huh...? What time is it?" He yawns," Rachel, was that you calling out my name? It sounded amazing..." his current face looked incredibly groggy, it was pretty funny to the vampire, smiling and giggling. Considering, she woke him up from a good sleep.
"We can flirt later. We need to prepare now. There might be an enemy nearby." she got up putting on her shawl, dress, and boots. "Nago, Gii, Prepare yourselves, we have a possible debut."
"W-wha?" Nago wakes up
"Maybe later...?" Gii was snoring a bit, "ACK!" Gii got kicked and hits the wall. "Do I have to repeat myself?"
"Forgive me, princess!" The red familiar immediately gets up.
"Uh, what time is it?" He grabs his jacket and sword by the floor. The vampire opens the curtains, "It appears to be quarter to 5 in the afternoon. It's pretty moody outside due to the current weather condition we're in."
Ragna tightens the ribbon on the handle of his sword. "All done, let's get moving."
They arrived at the ground floor, Jin was nowhere to be found. "Hey big guy, I don't see Jin and his friends around. You didn't call them?"
"I have not, he still needs to recover. As for the rest, they'll be back up, they are not far." He sees the couple yawning. "I apologize for the inconvenience, I just needed some assistance. I could not confirm if it's a friend or an enemy. The cameras wouldn't work." Why wasn't it working? He questions himself in his thoughts. "I'm going to have to get those checked..."
"Nah, it's alright. Someone needs help from time to time." Raising his hand and tapping his magnetic gauntlets, signaling him that it's alright.
That caught Tager off guard. Ragna was acting a bit weird. He was calm and nice to people he knows. Why though? Since when did that happen? All he could remember from their previous encounters was just bitterness whenever they talk. Did he change because he's with Rachel often?
"Ragna? What made you change in heart?" Tager questions him.
"Oh right. I'm just in a good mood actually." He then realizes that some people will be shocked when they see Ragna's new calm self.
"I forgot they would be surprised if they'd see me like this." He began to sigh, "You see, I already killed Terumi in my world. Knowing that I could kill him again at any moment can finally put me at ease. But right now, I have to be careful. I needed to make sure that this timeline can also be successful in killing that bastard."
"What about the progress you had done in the previous timeline?" Curiosity struck the red devil.
"Yeah, I don't know actually...it's a headache going back. But this time, I have the power to stop it and got a new purpose other than just flat out vengeance."
"What's that new purpose then?" Rachel asks.
"I thought it was obvious Rachel. It's the rabbit right next to me." He places his hand on her head. She shrugs him off and looks away. Her blushing was still visible. She's still isn't used to the feeling, but she does not complain. She likes it.
"Ah, I see." Then they heard distant voices from afar. It was yelling.
Ragna heard a familiar voice. "Celica? W-wait master?"
"Big Sis! Wait up!" Celica is now being carried by Minerva and catching up to her older sister and Jubei. Nine decided to change plans. She was gonna chase Jubei with lethal projectiles as her husband's "warm-up exercise". She knows that Jubei lived his entire life to adulthood as a fierce cat ninja warrior in his clan. So, she thinks this is just a walk in a park for him.
"I gotta say, darling, you're still pretty agile despite your age." She was being carried by the winds. One of her magic abilities. Water evaporates above them, due to the fire canopy she had made. It was hot enough to dry up Jubei.
"Oh god...if she catches me I'm a goner..." Jubei was getting tired. He was not paying attention to his back, Nine was already behind him. "I didn't expect her to still be so strong. Not even a bit of rustiness after all those ye-"
"I gotcha!" Nine squeezes Jubei and crashes into the hotel entrance like a speeding car. Glass shattering and a loud thud was heard. Luckily, nobody got hurt.
The three of them were prepared to attack. But instead, they see a mage hugging a cat on the floor.
To Ragna's dismay, he was left dumbstruck to see his master, a father figure and the strongest creature alive to be treated like a stuffed toy. Jubei moves Nine's arm away from his mouth to speak, "Hey kid. Wasn't expecting ya to be here. Errr, don't worry about her murdering us. She's no longer under the influence of the mind eater curse. For a while...and she misses me. A lot."
Nine was cuddling and rubbing her face on Jubei's head. "I just wanna smush you so badly...I miss hugging you like this." Jubei's face looked like he was asking for help.
"Ragna boy, I smell Rachel's scent all over ya." He looks over to Rachel, "Ye both slept together didnt'cha? I can smell Ragna's scent over you, Rachel." Both start to get red.
"What are you talking about? Nothing happened." Obvious embarrassment in his tone. Rachel was frozen in place.
"C'mon Ragna you can't hide it. I can smell it all over ya. I'm a beastkin with a strong sense of smell. You smell like flowers and that ain't normal. As for Rachel, you still have a good odor but I can smell Ragna all over you as well. Good thing I taught the kid about hygiene heh?" Jubei was relieved that he had gotten someone, "You've got a good catch kid. Enjoy yer youth while you still have it. I'm proud of ya- HAGH!" Nine hugged him tighter. It was so tight that she was actually strangling him.
"So in a way, he's our adopted son right Mitsuyoshi? We might expect some grandchildren from them. I don't think Kokonoe plans to even start a family, let alone even find a man." Nine still not letting Jubei go. They are still on the floor. "Hey princess, do you plan to have children with your dear Ragna? If so, how many?" The mage in violet asks.
Rachel begins to stutter, "Ch-children?! I-I-I..." Ragna got flustered and knew what was going on in her mind. He knew her dream, after all, she would normally be too embarrassed to even talk properly when that topic comes up. It breaks her character, but it shows that there is more to her true self than being very tough on the outside.
Her dream was to live peacefully with Ragna and raise a family. He even forgot about that family part. This is why he was startled when Rachel teased him about being a family type.
"I-isn't that too early?" Ragna tried to break the awkward silence.
"Nope." Nine gets up still holding Jubei. "Well then, I supposed you should leave us for now. I want to enjoy my time with my husband here."
Jubei was squirming and making signals that only Ragna can understand.
Ragna alone understood what he was saying. "I don't think I can see the light of day ever again...prepare my grave..." That was the message he decoded. His spine went cold.
Rachel froze in place. Thoughts invading her conscience. "Family?! I uh..." Ragna bent and tried to look at his rabbit's flustered face. She was daydreaming it was cute. Ragna blushed a bit because he knew what she was thinking about.
"Earth to Rachel, are you there?" He was snapping his fingers.
"Ah! Two-" She immediately stops and shakes her head when she realized what she was saying. The criminal heard her but pretended that he didn't hear anything. He laughs quietly, "Two huh? Can't wait" he was talking to himself in his conscience.
"Ahem...where did they go?" She tries her best to brush off what has happened earlier.
"It's better that we shouldn't follow," Ragna warned her.
"HAH! Those two are fast!" Minerva pushes the brakes while carrying Celica.
"Oh, Celica? You were with the two correct?" Tager asking for confirmation.
"Yeah...they were too fast for Minerva to catch up." She sees Ragna and Rachel. "Ragna! Lady Rachel!" She waves her hand at the two. "They got caught too?" She looks at Tager.
"Yeah, there are a lot of us here actually. Jin, Tsubaki, Makoto and Noel are here as well. They are resting as of now. We are currently waiting for Kokonoe's orders. Once they are all prepared we'll be leaving." Tager falls to sit on the chair behind him. "Good thing to know that we would meet more friends along the way. I'll inform her about it. But, we still have enemies and I don't know their whereabouts. Hazama and Terumi are still out there." Their main enemies are still roaming around which makes it problematic during their current situation.
"I'm gonna have to do some repairs. They crashed into the entrance. My defenses were destroyed as well, leaving them incapacitated. So, I'm gonna have to barricade it." He raises his arm enabling his drive, his Voltic Battler. He raises his arms up and magnetizes the metal around them outside the Hotel.
"Huh. My sword isn't getting pulled in." He thought his drive would bring him closer.
"Worry not. I am only pulling metals outside the building. That way, you wouldn't get dragged towards my hands."
"Call me if ya need some help. We'll go with Celica and Minerva to help find a room for them to stay in." As soon he was gonna lead her. They could hear clunking noises from the bed's suspension. "KONOE STOP STRIPPING ME!" Jubei attempts to retaliate.
"What's wrong dear? You don't mind having another member in the family don't you?~ I'm pretty sure Ragna would be a good brother figure for him."
He starts screaming for help.
Rachel grabs Ragna's sleeve and pulls him, "We are to take our leave. Now." They swiftly leave the scene. Minerva carries Celica and follows along, "Wait for us!"
Tager was sweating in embarrassment, he still has to make some repairs and barricade the entrance. "H-Hey don't just leave me here!"
"YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN!" Ragna's voice echoed from the hallway.
"Traitors..." Then, he heard Jubei's wails.
"Now...since I got you pinned..." Nine's voice already getting lewder.
"Nine, we can talk about this!" Jubei couldn't move. She had summoned Hi no Kagutsuchi's arms to hold him down.
"I've missed you so much. It makes me love you, even more, that shy look of yours." She pulls down her clothes. Jubei began to squirm.
Tager quickly finished and proceeds to sprint away from the location. He didn't want to hear nor get close to their session.
"R-Ragna?!" He calls out for Ragna for help. His reply was only silent.
"Konoe!" Jubei trying his damn best to escape the arms from her summon. "Not now!"
"It's only us and us, alone dear..." She forms a dark smirk.
Jubei screamed for help. It alerted everyone in the building but nobody came.
The group fled from the scene.
"Forgive me, master..." Ragna wouldn't want to make Nine annoyed or anywhere mad. Unless he wants the entire building to collapse.
"How on earth did those two get married?! It would have been catastrophic if Jubei had fled."
"It would have ended terribly if we were to interrupt...even if it was me trying to stop them. Big sister would definitely fry me to bits." Celica felt bad for Jubei.
"HEEEEEEEEEEELP!" Jubei's distant scream for help was heard. Their spines turned cold. Even Minerva's facial features looked shocked.
It went so far that even the aura it carried moved all the way to Kokonoe's lab.
She was devising plans for their next move. She was thinking about making backup plans if things were to go south. She suddenly felt her spine freeze. "Dad?" She scratches her cat ears. "I swear, I heard him scream for help..."
Jubei in the original world...
"Where else to go-" His senses sharpened and his tails stiffened and suddenly went limp. "Dammit, Nine...even after death you still try to seduce me..."
Back to Ragna...
"Okay so, that's the room where the 4 of them are currently in-"
"I'll choose that one next to their room!" Celica points at the door.
"Huh. That was quick. You sure?" He knows that Jin isn't a fan of having a lot of people around him.
"Well, Noel and Makoto are around. It wouldn't hurt having a nice chat with them."
"Good to know. We'll go ahead. Call Tager or anyone else when you need something alright?"
"Okay! Minerva what do you wanna talk about." They close the door.
"What an evening. It bothers me to know that your master, the strongest creature alive, screamed for help. I'm assuming that the great sage was indeed too much for him to handle." She was pulling Gii sideways to his limits while walking with Ragna.
"I don't think he can even set up a divorce. She's just that crazy." Ragna felt bad that he couldn't help his master.
"I agree."
"You going to the room? I'll go to the rooftop for a bit. The rain stopped an hour ago. I'll be watching the stars."
"I wish to come along. My servants, you may do as you please for now. I intend to be with Ragna for a while."
"Oooh! Yes ma'am!" They scurried off in a blink of an eye.
They both arrive on the top. Tager was just a floor below them. He grabs a mat from the little fancy shed at the corner for them to lay on. Surprisingly, it even had pillows.
"Oof!" He lays down first and taps on the vacant side for her to lay down on. She follows.
"It rained a while ago, didn't expect the skies to be already so clear. Especially the area around here. It dried up fast." He places his arms behind his head.
"The view here is quite pleasant. For once in a while, I get to finally enjoy the sight."
"Wait you haven't seen stars?" He looked at her.
She pinched his cheek, "No you baboon, I have always dreamed of experiencing things like this with you. It's better than being alone in my chambers looking at the night sky." She moves closer to him.
"You should really get out more. Exploration or visiting places isn't that bad."
"I had seen everything, have you forgotten that I was formerly an onlooker?"
"Nah, it was just a suggestion."
Their chit-chat had lasted for hours and they lost track of time. But that didn't stop the two from talking even more. The night breeze passes the two.
"The climate is quite cold. It's soothing and not glacial to give me a fever. It is perfectly fit for a doze." She yawned a bit.
"Tired? We've been slacking off the entire day."
"Our slumber was interrupted. It made me crave for more sleep you see..."
"Yeah, you're right. I feel tired too." He tucks her in closer and wraps his arms around her. It was so comfortable for her, that she immediately passed out.
He looks around the area to see if there is something that he can place on top of them. He saw a giant umbrella and reaches it out, "Gotta make this stand." He was setting up a big umbrella for the sun when it rises up in the morning. He doesn't wanna interrupt a good shut-eye.
"Good night now." He smooches her forehead and closes his eyes hugging her tighter. He got a faint laugh as a reply. He closes his eyes and feels her breathing as he sleeps.
Terumi felt disgusted. He feeds on hate and despair, but what he had fed on gave him disgusting chills.
"Terumi, can you not mumble in my head? It's annoying." Hazama getting frustrated
"I can't. I like despair and all...but..." He fed off something in which that despair came from fear of being raped by your wife. And you are that of a beastkin. "Let's just keep moving." He felt a bad feeling in his guts.
Terumi took over Hazama's body and puked. Nu was horrified at how long it took for Terumi to finish. It took him 15 seconds straight. Hazama was mortified.
"Ugh, fuck...oh...oh god-" He puked again.
He might die of dehydration before getting killed by Ragna.
