Meanwhile, in the world where Kokonoe's group were in, there were no on-guard activities from Izanami. Or so they thought. Kagura's elite spies were caught and were brainwashed, they were giving them false information. Relius had planned an attack to sync with Susanoo.
"Hades Izanami, we will cooperate just this once." Susanoo was talking through her head. He had absorbed the system's ability to communicate throughout different worlds. Although, it wasn't as useful as he thought it was. He can only communicate with very few people in the alternate world that Ragna entered in. Those people were only: Relius, Izanami, Hazama, and Terumi.
"Very well, God of destruction. When will we begin the attack?"
"Once Ragna and his accomplices enter my domain. But I shall locate The Mad Dog first. I am fully aware of the signed contract Goddess of Death. Do you have any idea how feasible it is for me to put that stray dog in his place?" Izanami placed Azrael under a contract that was set to fight Susanoo.
"Impossible...where did you get such information?!" This caught the Goddess of Death by surprise. This was not one of the feats that God of Destruction would do. "What do you intend to do with him? Kill him?"
"He is but a mockery for a God. But he can be a useful pawn for me. Like these three over here..."
"Three?
"The Prime Field no.13, Hazama and myself..."
"Yourself? How can you split yourself apart? That's physically and spiritually impossible for the soul." This was impossible for one to clone oneself. She thought the person was someone new. But it wasn't.
"I come from an alternate reality, where I was victorious. The despair and anger I had brought upon made me stronger. It was an enjoyable feast."
"I see...inform me when we begin our assault." A serious glare came from Izanami. Three snakes are present. Not a good sign on both sides.
"Before we end the conversation...the beastkin will no longer have any kinds of communication with her friends anymore." He had that feeling both of them were being watched. Kokonoe made an imperfect replica of the system's monitoring device. It was similar to Susanoo's way of reaching out and manipulating the communications to some people.
"Oh? That makes things easier. I would like to thank you for that." She lets out a sinister laugh. "Oh dear Saya, you are longing for your brother, don't you? You will see him in due time." Izanami's vessel was Saya, Ragna and Jin's younger sister. Terumi had stolen her body and used it for the Goddess of Death.
"Shit! I got caught. I need to tell them right away!" She moves to her 3rd computer and immediately contacts Tager.
"DO NOT GO TAGER! IT'S A TRAP! ABORT THE MISSION! THERE IS ANOTHER FUCKING TERUMI ON THE LOOSE! I REPEAT! IT'S A TRAP!" Kokonoe repeats the same phrase while yelling it out loud.
Tager got the message, but it was cut off and static. "DO...GO...TAGER!...Terumi...LOOSE!"
"Professor? Professor!" He checked his navigator. It went green. It's the signal to move. "Kokonoe's comms are down for now. But it seems like she enabled the signal. Let's get moving. She said we have to be wary of Terumi. It's not clear but the signal she has given us means it's a go."
Kokonoe could hear Tager's response very clearly but not on his side. Susanoo had interrupted the frequencies. Her screens went black and stopped working. "SHIT!" She slams her desk and runs out immediately. "KAGURA! KAGURA?! Where's that womanizing shithead?!"
"What?" Kagura comes out of the bathroom. He had a bad case of diarrhea. Litchi gave him meds and it's slowly helping him out. He noticed Kokonoe's face was in an agitated state. "What's the matter? Something happened?"
"Tell everyone to gather around in the hall NOW! Questions can be answered later. I want everyone here this instant!" She started running to her lab to grab her gadgets and wake up Lambda.
"Alright, alright. But can you at least tell me what's going on?" He was confused.
"IZANAMI!" Her voice faded when she ran back to her lab
That name alerted Kagura. "Oh shit." He grabbed his radio and started running outside to inform all of the guards to be on high alert. "Everyone to the hall, NOW!"
Lambda awakens from her chambers, "Master? What is the situation?"
"Get your ass on the hall and help me carry these." She was carrying high-tech barrier nodes. She intends to shield the whole building to have a sturdy defense against Izanami. It won't last forever but it can buy them time.
The two arrived in the hall carrying the nodes. "Everyone who is still here, place these around the outer building."
"Professor, these are made with-?!" Litchi noticed that these barriers were made and are being powered by the boundary's seithr.
"Kagura would bitch about the spike of their electric bills, so I had to take different measures. These are more effective than electricity anyways."
Platinum was late to the party, she came to the headquarters in search of her master, Jubei. They followed Kagura's orders to meet in the halls. She wasn't happy. "What do you want punk?" It was Luna talking.
"Jeez, I need you to help us with placing these around the building." She was trying to hold every ounce of patience she has left in her. She has no time to deal with children.
"Like, I'll help you flat-chested beastkin. I'll only follow master Jubei's orders." Luna was being a prick. Kokonoe didn't have time for this. She glared at them with an angry look. It paralyzed everyone in the room.
"Luna...I think she's mad." Sena, another soul in the body talked in her conscience Kokonoe grabbed the child's collar and tightens her grip. Platinum felt a bit of heat in her collar. Kokonoe's magic manifested a little without her realizing it.
"If I ever hear anything about YOU only following dad's orders, I'll throw you in the pits of the boundary, caged. I will have you die in there slowly in the void where nobody, not even myself can get you out. The audacity you have to be a fucking prick and insulting me in this situation pisses me off. Being flat doesn't matter regardless of age. It's about how you act. I may be fucking cold but I know where to draw the line. You follow what I say or I'm killing you myself. You have three choices: One; leave you outside to get eaten alive, Two; Drop you in the boundary, and three; help us. Choose. If you do not respond, then that's a 3. Understood?" This made Platinum sweat in fear. "No response? Good." She puts her down and hands two nodes to her. "Now, do what you're told." Platinum nodded.
Sena began talking in her conscience, "Did she just say, dad? Wait, this woman is master Jubei's daughter?" Luna didn't reply. She was still busy being afraid of Kokonoe.
"Tao is hungry..." She was laying on the floor clutching to the pillar. Bang went to her and offered her meat buns.
"Thanks, scruffy-man! Now Tao is full of energy! Meow!" She grabbed 3 of the nodes and ran outside to place them. Each of them held 1 node each and placed them around the building.
"Are they all locked and ready?" Kokonoe talking through everyone's radio. Everyone had pushed the button on their radio which give out the color green. All of your asses, inside now.
"Damn. You really were a former SS criminal." Kagura appreciated the view of the barrier covering the entire building.
"Kagura, you are gonna be the most reliable fighter here, considering that you have fought Azrael toe to toe. Don't die on me got it?" She had no knowledge of magic, so she has to rely on the tech she's made. Her intelligence is her strongest weapon.
"Worry not, I am your Black Knight in Shining Armor!" He could hear Litchi and Kokonoe sighing on the radio, at least Taokaka was clapping in the background.
Meanwhile, in the dimension, Ragna was brought in...Susanoo had located Azrael.
Azrael was just laying on the ground contemplating about his life. He's bored and annoyed. He couldn't move because of the tendrils created by Ragna, "I hate this." He suddenly heard footsteps. "You're back? Hold on...this power I sense...it's even greater than that Grim Reaper!"
"So this is the Mad Dog that Hades had sent out against me? Pathetic." The God was in utter disgust just seeing the mortal breathing.
"So you're that Terumi guy? Cool. if you'll kill me like this, go ahead. I'd rather die than just stay here honestly." The Mad Dog basically gave up. He's extremely bored and if Susanoo can't release him, nobody will.
Susanoo had ripped out the tendrils with ease. It impressed the mad dog, "Oh. Cool. You're here to use me aren't you?"
"I'll put you on a leash mutt." Azrael didn't care. He cracks his knuckles and neck, "Before you get to tell me what to do...you're gonna have to beat me up...ENCHANT DRA-" The God unleashed a blow to his face. It knocked him out. "Pathetic. This is the man you relied on to beat me? Repulsive…" He carries the man over his shoulder and proceeds with his plan.
Meanwhile in Ragna's location...
The group splits into three teams according to plan. "Here it is. The mesa. Do you guys see that aura surrounding that area? I think this is it." They had located the area where the system was found.
"Ragna, return to me safely you understand?" She tells him that before she goes with her team.
"Yeah, I will." When he was about to walk, he could feel the wind tugging him. As he looked back, Rachel's lips meet his. It startled Ragna.
She pulls away, "If you don't, I'll kill you."
"Say what you want Rabbit, I'll return unharmed so quit worrying."
"Ahem. Are we done?" Tager didn't want any time wasted. Mission first.
"C'mon Mr. Tager they're sweet!" Makoto was getting all giddy for the two of them.
"No. Now let's go." Everyone had split apart and proceeded as planned.
Team A began to get carried by Ragna's leap towards the peak, while team B proceeded to scout around the area to make sure no enemy leaves nor enters. Team C followed.
Team A went to the very top. All they saw was nothing. It was just an open flat space. Ragna felt uneasy, he could feel a similar presence in the area, it was way stronger than the incomplete Susanoo he had fought. "No way...that shit can't be..." He stops and signals the two to stop.
"Brother?"
"Ragna? What's wrong?"
"Something's not right. We need to go regroup-" The ground started to rumble.
A pillar of dark energy forms in front of them. Susanoo smashed the ground as he landed. "You have finally come. Ragna the Bloodedge!"
"What the hell...? Terumi?! But I fucking killed you!" He was in pure shock. "Son of a bitch! Noel! Jin! Go all out! This is no ordinary opponent." He wanted to test how far he had gotten. But he won't use the grimoire yet.
"Don't doubt us! We can do this together-"
"I have the Power of Order-" they were both cut by Ragna.
"Shut up! I mean it. This guy would kill you if you are not taking this seriously, you two. Just Do it!"
Susanoo sat down, "Entertain me. I accept your challenge. I'm allowing you to use your drives to the fullest capacity. As for you Ragna, I'm saving you for last..." A sinister laugh leaves Susanoo.
"Summoning...Lux Sanctus!" She closes her eyes and opens them. Her jade eyes turn blue and eight blades appear and form a wing-like appearance behind her. "Steins Geyser!"
"Frost End: Suppressing Blade!" Jin's Yukianesa started intensifying his drive: Frost Bite.
"Idea Engine Light...Overload Engage!" Blue particles of light started to form around the mesa. This impressed the pitch-black Susanoo. Everyone on the ground level was startled seeing the particles out of nowhere. "Damn you Terumi...I'll have to kill you again with my own hands. This time, I'm not alone." He grabs his sword and everyone prepares their battle stance.
"Bow before me!" He noticed that Ragna was not using his Azure Grimoire. If he won't use it, then he shall play along.
Both teams noticed the blue particles moving around them. Rachel was concerned. "Ragna...something is wrong. We need to assist him."
"Rachel, We don't have time for that..." She hears the sounds of metals being released. Hakumen and Jubei unsheathed their weapons. She looks at their direction. Terumi, Hazama, and Azrael emerge through the shadows.
"Harlequin, we are in need of your support. Do not leave our side until we are capable of handling this on our own." Hakumen admitted that he needed help this time.
"You go help Ragna once we get things under our control aight?"
"It seems so, Nago and Gii. Battle Formation."
Nago's umbrella form had turned sharp and Gii was on a defensive stance. He is gonna block all kinds of attacks to protect the vampire. While Nago will take in charge of offense in Rachel's blind spots.
"Oooh, it's that shitty vampire. Oh hello there Nine~ Miss me?" Terumi taunting the mage.
Nine's eyes grew furious, "I'll turn you into ash this time."
"Can't believe I got caught into this. I didn't even expect another Terumi..." Hazama sighs.
"Well, I ain't complaining. There are 2 of us anyway, he's holding my body and I don't have to. I hate being in that thing." Terumi began fidgeting with his butterfly knife. "Aye, good thing he had that separating thingymajig. I get to move freely as I wish." A grim smile forms on Terumi's face.
"Less talking. I wanna have a good taste of one of the heroes here. I'm not fond of having a losing streak.." Azrael was getting turned on when he finally met some strong people. He's pretty upset that he has been losing a lot so far. He thinks this is compensation for getting his ass kicked.
"Hakumen sir? What should we do?" Tsubaki asking Hakumen for orders.
"You and I will take on Azrael. Never hold back." Both will team on the mad dog.
"Jeez, I'll make use of the free time I have now." Hazama sighs with a disappointed look in his eyes. "I'm damn allergic go cats. Anyone but Jubei." He sees Terumi shrugging. "Good grief. *Sigh* if this is how things will go then..." He opened his eyes, "Let's play a game little kitty."
"Tager? Something's wrong. Minerva!" Celica preparing for medical support while the automaton switches to battle stance.
"Bloodedge: Blood Repulsor!" Naoto had enabled his drive. "Something isn't right here."
"Stay close. Looks like the enemy figured us out. We have to get to Team B, they are not far." They agreed to separate to make sure nobody in the other side plans to flank Ragna's team. Tager suddenly saw multiple blades rushing into him. "Spark Bolt!" A ball of lightning negates the barrage of swords. He then heard screaming. One had gone through and pierced Makoto's leg and arms. The sword was controlled manually when it went through. Makoto had destroyed the blade and fell to the ground. She was too injured to move.
"Makoto!" Celica instantly responded to healing her. Minerva pulled the blade away. "Tager! Naoto! You keep going. Minerva will protect us! I have to heal Makoto."
"Ragnaaaaaa~"
Naoto heard a familiar voice, "S-Saya?"
Nu proceeded to float down slowly. She sees the person she was longing for. Fortunately, it was not Ragna. "Wha-? You're not Ragna! WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!"
"Oh shit." Naoto prepares himself. "She isn't friendly alright."
"I'll cover the defense. You're on offense. Make sure she gets close to me." Tager instructing the teenager. Tager has no mobility, so he can only rely on Naoto's ability to chase her around.
"Got it!"
All teams were now occupied. Susanoo was pleased. "Go on Izanami. Enjoy your time."
"The imperator?" Noel was alerted.
"Fuck! We have to attack now!" Ragna tells the two to attack.
Kokonoe heard her sensors going off. "They're here."
They could feel the building shaking. "What the hell?" Kagura needed to check out the surveillance outside the barriers. Izanami was "testing" how strong they were. "Oh? These are pretty durable. The mage's daughter is very intelligent. I'll play with it for now. I want to see how long this would last." A vicious grin forms on her face. She summons ghostly figures all around the building. They were clinging and latching onto the barrier.
"Oh my God..." Kagura was frozen. She had summoned the dead to slowly drain the barrier. "Kokonoe? How long will those barriers last?"
"Around 3 days." Kagura's Jaw dropped.
"Th-three? You see all of those THINGS out there?"
"Relax. I got the equipment. I used to do ghost hunting as a hobby when I wasn't busy." She proceeded to tell everyone to keep their guard up. Once the barrier is broken. They will immediately charge Relius and Izanami.
The Goddess of Death grabs her cloak. "So you have chosen a waiting game I see..." She patiently waits outside. "How well is everyone doing so far in your end Susanoo?" She wonders as she watches her minions cling onto the barrier.
