Ever since the disappearance of the sword, Rachel was left with guilt. She blamed herself for her carelessness. "I should have just brought it with me home...Leaving it there thinking it would be left alone was foolish of me..." The vampire took out a portrait and painted the sword out of memory. It looked exactly like the sword that she was looking for. The details were on point and accurate. "For a while, why is it so important to me?" Suddenly, a headache. It's been a few months after the final battle of Terumi. She was plagued with a series of headaches, visions of memories that were unknown to her. In those visions, a man with red clothing, snow-white hair, even had two different colors in the same eyes. His right eye is red and his left jade. The man was often seen in her blurry memories. "Why? Who are you? Why do I have such feelings for someone that is unknown to me..." The last vision that plagued her was the final moments she had with the figure. She felt warm and at peace. She was in an embrace with the figure. "I...I need some fresh air. Valkenhayn!" Her butler responded and teleported to her.

"Yes, Lady Rachel? Is there something you need?" Valkenhayn as well had some visions but it was only very brief. He thought it was the aftermath of joining the battle, like PTSD. He was concerned for Rachel's mental health. He tried everything to help her but she kept refusing and exclaimed that she is well.

"I will be roaming around the places for answers. Questions are beginning to fuel my curiosity. I need to find a solution." She leaves her servants behind and leaves in an instant.

Valkenhayn wished her good luck and reacted over the concern of the sword. She was obsessed with it. "I hope you will find what you are looking for Milady." He awaits and stands by the table she always drank tea in.

She went to the Monorails. "Why does this area feel...familiar?" She heard someone, "Rabbit, can you leave me alone for a second?" She turned in the direction of the voice, there was no one. The voice she heard said a name, Rabbit...a nickname that she had thought was her own. Every time a child calls out a rabbit, she turns as if she was called. "Why have I grown accustomed to such label..."

"I came all this way to talk to you, and this is the thanks I get? How rude. And stop calling me that nickname." Her body reacted on its own. She covered her mouth after the words came right out of her.

"But the way you wear those ribbons make you look like one." She heard the voice again.

"What was...why did I? Who's there?! Show yourself!" There was no one around...It was like muscle memory. "This was not my first time being here wasn't it...?" She got a clue. She was excited when she found out that she can find the solution to the problem, maybe even find the man of her dreams.

She was determined and began her search.

A few more months later after going to a location after location. Investigating and learning about the place to help her remember what she cannot. Each one of them was familiar and each one unlocked blurry memories in her mind. For the first time in years, Rachel felt impatient. She had lived for so long and wouldn't mind waiting for a day. But this...made her act out of her usual self. She was confused and her heart was racing...She started to tell herself that these shall be put aside for now and will continue on in her search.

But she can't.

She wants to find him.

She wants to see him.

Rachel had come across allies and friends along the way. She never told them about her motives because they would never understand. Rachel realized not long ago, that it was only her that she was having this problem. The memories she had felt fake. Every area she arrived in had increased her excitement to reach the conclusion, but every time she does this, this worsens her headache. It was not healthy for her to have this many unclear memories flowing into her head. She heard the voice again, "I'm not stopping! I made a promise to you bunny-leech, you can rely on me sometimes okay? I'm never giving up. You told me that yourself. So go home and drink your tea or coffee. Whatever you call it." She mumbled a phrase without even realizing it, "Never give up..." This motivated her to continue.

She reaches the location where she felt like it was the last place. It was her home. The final location was the flower gardens of her home. She heard the voice once more, "C'mon, can I go now Rachel? Don't make me beat you up."

Her body responded once again. "You wish to hit a lady? My my, how cruel of you!" She suddenly fell to the floor holding her head tightly. Rachel was having a terrible migraine. Valkenhayn saw her fall to the flowers and took her to her room to take care of her. It took her an entire night to wake up. She immediately got up with Valkenhayn barely awake on a stool. He was very exhausted but that didn't stop him from maintaining her to be in a good condition. "Madame, you're awake. You were moving all over the bed with discomfort and even talking in your sleep. Are you sure you're alright?" She had recovered fairly quickly thanks to her butler. She places her hand on Valkenhayn's shoulder, "Indeed. Get some rest Valkenhayn. Thank you." She went back to the rose gardens and remembered the scenario before she passed out. "I must be close..."

During her unconscious state, she kept seeing multiple flashes of her memories, they were clues. She was watching a man battle Terumi, offering food to a random stranger, and rescuing her a couple of times. Especially growing strong feelings for him. "If this is no fantasy...then who are you? Where are you?" But despite all of her efforts, the conclusion was still unknown. She couldn't understand the clues clearly due to how unclear her memories were. "But...I can't seem to find you..." She teleports to the cliffside to where the sword originally was. She was holding the portrait of her painting, the accurate replica of the sword that she was obsessively attached with. She sat by the tree near the cliff and hugs her portrait and looks at the area where the sword was standing. "Where are you...?" She closed her eyes and opened them repeatedly, praying that it was just a bad dream. She leaned on the tree. Rachel felt...sad. "How long will this take?" Rachel closed her eyes, she saw a brief memory of holding a man in her arms. It was her long-kept and locked memory that would forever haunt her. The man was soiling her dress in blood and feeling his hand by her face. The man was telling her something in his last moments. She watched him as she heard his voice, "I've...always had a thing...for you...Rachel...if only...if only I could see your face...one...more..." His hand dropped to the ground. Rachel began to instinctively tell him to wake up. She began shouting out a name that she could not hear.

"R_! R_! WAKE UP! PLEASE! NO, NO, NO..."

"NO!" She immediately snapped herself out of it and looked at her surroundings as adrenaline momentarily took over her. Rachel felt hurt and anxious. Was that a dream she saw? Or was it the reality that had happened that led to this time? His sword was the only thing connected to him and her. She felt a wet drop on her hand. She touches her cheek, she was crying. "T-tears? Am I crying...?" Rachel began to quietly weep uncontrollably after seeing that vision. "I-I can't stop...it hurts..." She starts hugging her painting once more and begging, "Please...whoever you are...I wish to see you...alive and well..." She closes her eyes once more. She prayed and prayed that it was all a dream. She happened to close them for too long and slept without realizing it.

Ragna appeared out of thin air, he teleported to where Rachel was located. He sees her resting below a tree, holding a portrait of his sword, she looked like an angel sleeping in the distance. The gentle breeze was blowing her golden hair. It was cute for the Man of Azure. "I'm so sorry for making you wait, Rachel..." He looks at the portrait, "My sword...? Damn..." Ragna's heart began to ache. He felt so bad after making her wait all this time, and his sword was the only thing that was left from Ragna that Rachel was attached to. He looks at the portrait once more and compares it to his current sword, it was damaged and in a bad condition, while the portrait had details of it being only cracked a bit. Ragna touches the ribbon. The hilt still had her ribbon tied to it. "I miss you too Rachel..." He stabs the sword to the ground where it formerly was and walks to her.

When he was walking toward her, he saw light reflecting her face. It was her tears. She was crying for him. She missed him without knowing who he was and Ragna didn't know that she was affected. His heart was aching once more. "I'm so, so sorry Rachel...it's okay, I'm back. I'm not leaving you anymore." He wiped his eye after shedding a tear.

Ragna suddenly felt very heavy. More pain began surging through the man's body. He felt like he was being stabbed in every part of his body. It was penetrating him from head to toe. He let out a blood-curdling scream, "HAAGH!" The scream had awoken Rachel. Fatigue finally caught up to him after overusing his Idea Engine and Azure Grimoire at the same time. "SHIT! Not...now..." He was trying to keep himself up with all the strength he had left, "I need to..." He drops to the ground.

"H-huh?!" She immediately moved back and prepared her battle stance. She lowered her guard when she realized who the person was. The man looked identical to the figure in her dreams. "Wait are you...?" She approaches him and sees that he was in a very critical condition. His Jacket was on the floor, ripped, and had holes in it. His black shirt was damaged, along with his kimono pants. But they weren't torn apart, nor had holes in them. She takes him to her castle. "Valkenhayn!" She calls out to her butler. He responded in an instant. She then sees the sword to where it originally was. This time, in a bad condition.

"Welcome home Lady- Excuse me but who is that?" Valkenhayn felt oddly familiar with the figure that Rachel was helping.

"Please bring him to my room and aid him. He looks to be in bad condition." Valkenhayn acted accordingly with no word leaving his mouth but only his thoughts, "Why specifically your room? But not the guest room? Is this man important to you?" The werewolf brought him to the vampire's room. Rachel held his jacket and sword. "If my intuition is correct then..." She was excited and at the same time afraid. The vampire proceeded to her room. She enters the room, seeing the man laying on the bed. Rachel hangs the jacket and gently places his damaged sword on the wall. She noticed something on its hilt. It was her ribbon. It was ragged after a certain time but it looked like it was tightened to the hilt of the sword. "Does...does he know me?" Rachel approaches the man. She grabs a stool and observes his facial features. When she observed, he had identical features that she had seen in her blurry memories. She reaches him to touch his cheek. She hesitates but places her hand gently on it. "You are a dunce for fighting Terumi so recklessly." She did it again, the words came out of her mouth on their own. Rachel felt so familiar with the man. She could even tell how he looks. Her heart started racing. Valkenhayn arrives with the medical supplies.

"Leave it to me, Lady Rachel." He proceeded to undress Ragna's top to look at the wounds. There were no wounds but a lot of scars. Despite the new limits he had unlocked, the grimoire had taken so much abuse. Even such godlike power has limits. The grimoire may have healed his wounds completely but not all of it was flawless. Rachel stared at his abs, she snapped out of it. "There are no wounds...Does he have a healing factor? But why does it feel like I know him..." Valkenhayn puts back his clothes.

Valkenhayn stands up. "I will have to keep an eye on him until he awakens." Rachel looks at the man and raises her hand.

"You had done enough Valkenhayn. Take the time you have to yourself and rest. You deserve it after doing so much for me. I will keep watch of him until he recovers." Valkenhayn was surprised, maybe this person was a friend of a friend.

"Very well." He bows and leaves the room. 3 days had passed while the man was under the watch of Rachel. She was worried about him. "Please wake up...I have so many questions to ask..." She thought that going to the bathroom to take a shower would clear her mind and reduce her stress. "Maybe time in the lavatory would freshen my mind..."

Ragna had finally woken up. "Ugh..." He gets up with his eyes closed and opens them. He looks at the bed, "Wait...isn't this..." He looks ahead, he sees Rachel covered in her towel with her hair down and wet. She just finished taking a shower. A visible red tint appears on her face.

"A-avert your eyes!" Ragna laughed seeing Rachel covered in her towel embarrassed. "W-what's so funny you perverted scum?!"

Ragna noticed something off, she was hesitating in her words. "Hey Rachel, weren't we on a cliff earlier?"

"Y-you know me...?" His heart dropped. She doesn't remember him.

"I'll jog your memory then." He stands up and approaches her.

"Stay back! I'm still bare under this serviette!" She steps back.

"Remember that time where we were there at the monorails?" She started to remember the events clearly. "You had beaten the living shit out of me." She recalls the moment when she first arrived to investigate there. The time when he told her to leave him alone. She decided to fight him to put him in his place and succeeded.

Ragna lets out a sad laugh. "Still nothing? What about that time when I rescued you from Nine's spell? You still badmouthed me after saving you. You were stubborn, rabbit."

That nickname...it was stuck to her head ever since she had awakened after the battle.

"Were you the one calling me rabbit?" He stops in front of her, he leans to her. "Yep, the way you wear those ribbons makes you look like one."

"!" Rachel began to blush in realization. Those were the same words she had heard back at the monorails.

He kneels down to her and holds her arms, "How about the hug?" The memories began to surge within her mind. It revealed every moment that was vague to her. She started to remember everything. All it took was someone she had cared deeply to unlock her memories. The last memory that was vague became clear as the cloudless sky.

"Thanks for everything, Rachel..." They were in an embrace. The vampire tightened her grip on him. She didn't want to let go. "And...farewell." What she saw next was black.

She looks up at him. "R-Rag...na? Ragna!" The Man of Azure began to smile when she finally remembered him. She started tearing up. "You dolt! After all this time, you could have returned right after! Do you have any idea how long I kept searching?! I had to endure head-splitting headaches day and night! It was relentless! But I...I-!" He silenced Rachel by hugging her.

"I know...I know...you never gave up didn't you?" He looks at her, she was crying. She tightens her grip on him. She was happy. He wipes off her tears, "I was busy too."

"What were you doing while you were g-!" Ragna didn't let her finish her sentence. He couldn't wait anymore. He kissed her. Rachel's eyes shot open. New memories were entering her. The recollections of their time together. The time when they both enjoyed and suffered together. The vampire closes her eyes to respond. Both began to relive every moment in a single deep kiss. It felt like ages but it was only a minute. She pulled away to process them. "Wait, what I've seen...it all happened..? Is that what kept you away after all this time?" He nodded, "But there is more..." he smiled in a dark manner. He gave her another kiss. This time the memory of them being together in the night. She moaned shamelessly and held his hair in the kiss, they were reliving the moment that felt forever but lasted another minute in the kiss. She had gotten aroused and so was he.

Ragna pulled away and smiles. Rachel began frowning, "I swear, that's a terrible password Ragna..." She had attained the memory after their little moment.

"What? C'monnn say it! I had been coming up with that for a long time."

She rolled her eyes,

"Fine. Ragna is red

Jin is blue

This is the best I can do," She sighed at the terrible poem.

"And I love you."

"Glad to know you're back Rachel." It made the Man of Azure happy, it lightened her up. Her negative traits were no longer present when she had attained new memories, especially ones that she received comfort from him. She finally felt happy, accomplished, and at peace. She then dived into the man, bringing them to the bed. She assaulted his lips. She was still wearing her serviette around her. Ragna removes it and hurls it at the wall and proceeded to continue their moment. "We both are." She connected her lips with his again.

Valkenhayn walked in to check on his master and Ragna in the worst possible time. He had walked in seeing the couple kissing, he was mortified. The two stopped and were in complete embarrassment. "Lady Rachel...I demand an explanation. I thought this man was unknown to you..." Ragna could see a bulging vein in his forehead while smiling. "I think I'm dead..." Ragna's definitely dead. Rachel took Ragna's jacket and draped it around her.

"You see..." She explained thoroughly to her butler about Ragna's return. He had saved her multiple times and about the true story about Terumi's defeat after Ragna fabricated fake stories and etched it on their minds after the memory wipe. Since Rachel was a former observer, the wipe wasn't very effective. Even after Valkenhayn's memories were restored, he can only tolerate Ragna's presence. The werewolf never saw Rachel in such a peaceful and calm state with Ragna. He's glad that she's happy, but it's one of the people he dislikes that she loves. He is rude, homeless, not part of any noble family, and a wanted terrorist. He sighs in fear of what will happen. "Clavis old friend, assist me in this...How can such a fine lady fall for a bum..."

Now that Ragna is back, his presence alone started to manifest back onto people's memories. The fabrication started to disappear and forget the fake events as if it has never existed. His siblings, sister clones, friends, and accomplices started to remember the man by the name: Ragna the Bloodedge. Rachel leans on his arm, "Now that you're back, you are gonna have to deal with the NOL again. I'm pretty sure your little brother, along with Kagura has a plan to clear your name. You even assisted the safety of the imperator." Helping Kagura in keeping the imperator safe had the most weight that would ever help him clear his name.

"*Sigh* I hope they do..." Valkenhayn leaves the room.

"Ragna, before we go out and have your name cleared. Why not stay in the castle and rest for a few more days. After all, you had just woken up." She talks as she opens her wardrobe. Ragna's jaw dropped when he realized that she had an entire lane of literally the same dress. She reaches out her home gown from a different lane.

"Wait...how big is that wardrobe?" Even with the money that Rachel has, Ragna will still choose to get himself simple attire. Wearing such outfits makes him feel uneasy. "Uh, do you have a place where you do laundry? I'm gonna wash my clothes and do some stitches..." The jacket that he held on ever since Jubei let him off on his own. He had always fixed it whenever there was damage. He would pretty much grab a needle and a string while nobody was looking and close off the holes in his jacket. Celica had taught him since they were kids. After years of repairing his jacket over and over, it had gotten to the point where his repaired jacket looked as if it was never damaged. His stitching skills were seamless. Jubei was like his father, the jacket was a valuable gift to him and he's never gonna change it.

"I was out for a few days right?" Ragna questions her and Rachel nods, "Mhm."

"Guess, I'll stay a bit before we go do we? I'll figure out where I'll go next...maybe stop by a hotel or something?" Ragna was thinking of other things after he would clear his name. Rachel giggled. "Uh, what's funny?" Ragna's face twisted to confusion.

"Have you forgotten? Everything is over. My castle is your new home Ragna." Ragna felt dumb. He was so used to sleeping outside and always had to keep himself on high alert. This new experience would take time to get used to. He finally had achieved peace. He finally has a home and someone to go back to.

"WHAT- ahem...welcome to your new home...Ma-ma..." Valkenhayn had a lump in his throat. "Master...Ra...Ra..."

"Inhale and exhale, keep calm Valkenhayn..." The butler's consciousness tells him to keep going.

"RA!" It was taking Valkenhayn's entire willpower to say his phrase and breathe in until his lungs could no longer take it all in. "Master...Ragna..."

"Okay, you can just call me Ragna old man. No need to be formal about it." Valkenhayn sighed in relief. He isn't worthy of being called his master yet. He still needs to earn his respect.

"Let's all have some shut-eye first. Valkenhayn, take his clothes to the laundry and find him fresh clothing please." Ragna's sight was suddenly hindered by roses.

"What the hell? I can't see! Rachel is this one of your weird magic tricks again?!" In an instant, he has gotten new clothes. He was wearing a white shirt and brown shorts. It reminded him of his clothes when he was a kid. "Hold on, why do I feel like I just got out of the showers. How did you manage to slip in fresh new underwear by my crotch? You even got the right size. That's just straight out weird..."

"Like what you had said earlier. It was magic," Rachel answered. Valkenhayn locked the doorknob and closed the door, so they didn't have to lock it themselves. The two proceeded to lay on the queen-sized bed.

"Holy shit...no wonder why I couldn't wake up after fainting. This bed is just...great." For so long, Ragna hadn't gotten a single ounce of proper sleep. Most of the time, he sleeps under a tree or on a grass field.

"I'm happy to know that you are enjoying it." She snuggled closer to him.

"Rachel...I'm sorry for making you wait this long. From where I was, it felt like it was a week when I stayed there. Everything happened so much and so fast. I had no clue that it would take so long here. I'm an idiot for making a reckless mistake..." Ragna felt really bad.

"What happened back then no longer matters. It's better late than never. If you weren't there. Things would have gone terribly wrong. And we wouldn't experience such things together. The struggles, the joys, and the development we had gained throughout the journey. Therefore, you are excused." Ragna felt better. She was right. If none of that happened. What would it be like today?

"Thanks, Rachel." Ragna looked at the ceiling and thinks, "Honestly, this feels weird. Not in a bad way. It's just...for the first time, I don't have to worry about anything bad happening anymore." Terumi is finally gone, once and for all. Ragna could finally spend the rest of his time with Rachel.

"I feel the same. Tomorrow is a new day. Try not to be stupid while figuring out the most basic of things." A smile on her face.

"Zip it rabbit." They both hugged each other and closed their eyes. The cold breeze passed by them, allowing more comfort in the atmosphere...
