Welcome to my story. This is my first fanfiction on all platforms, I hope you like it.

This will be a collection of one-shots from when Katara and Aang are 8 to when they are lovers.

Katara was sitting in her room at around 530 PM doing her homework when her brother walked in and asked, "Kataraaaaaaaaa, can you go ask mom if we can go to the arcaaaaaaaade?"

Katara turned to her brother and said, "Why are you asking me, and why can't you ask her?"

"Well, that's because you are mom's favorite, and dad isn't home."

"Fine, I'll ask her-"

"THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU SIS!"

"I wasn't finished. I will only ask her IF you say the magic word and leave me alone when we get there."

Sokka let out a big grunt and reluctantly said, "Please, can you go ask mom if we can go to the arcade, and I will leave you alone under one condition; you don't get a boyfriend when I leave you alone for two seconds."

"I will, and why would I get a boyfriend if I am only 8 years old?"

"Okay missy, but there better be no funny business going on!"

"Okay, I'll ask mom in 5 minutes just let me finish my homework here."

As she said this Sokka closed the door and went to wherever Sokka goes. 5 minutes later Katara finished her homework and proceeded to go downstairs to fulfill her brother's request. Katara went into the kitchen to see her mom, Kya, reading the mail. "Hey, Mom?"

"Yes, honey?"

"Is it ok if you can take Sokka and I to the arcade?"

Kya looked up from her paperwork and glanced at Sokka sitting in the living room playing video games. Kya's eyes then shifted to her daughters and she spoke, "Let me guess, Sokka put you to do this?" Katara nodded. Kya then called out to Sokka, "SOKKA! Why did you tell your sister to ask me to go to the arcade?"

As he heard this, his eyes went wide and he was barely able to get the words out. "W-well I-I was in the middle of my-y game and I asked if she c-could ask you." he lied with the clear nervousness in his voice.

Kya smirked and then came to her conclusion. "Sokka, you and your sister may go to the arcade. It's across the street right?" Sokka nodded. "Okay, you can go, how much money will you need?" "Maybe 20 bucks" "Okay grab it out of my purse and you may go"

Time skip to when they are entering the arcade.

Katara looked around and then spoke up while still looking around, "Sokka, doesn't this place look a little less crowded than usual?" She didn't receive an answer so she looked where she assumed her brother to be and did not find him. She shook her head while giggling. "2 Seconds in and he's already left my side. At least he is keeping his promise about not bothering me here" she said to herself quietly. She then went to her favorite game; Bowling. This arcade had a lot of games, from actual games to sports games to even games where you can win prizes. She always loved bowling because she often came here with her mom and played it together. The bowling area was empty aside from one kid with black hair, grey eyes and looked to be about her age. He seemed lonely and since she wanted someone to play against, she walked up to him and asked, "Hey, My name is Katara, you seemed lonely and I wanted a partner to play with I thought I'd ask you.

The boy turned to her and had a big grin on his face. "Sure, also my name is Aang. Nice to meet you Katara."

Katara giggled and said, "Nice to meet you too Aang, so let's play?"

Aang nodded and said, "Let's. Play!"

*TIME SKIP to when the game is over.*

"HA, I BEAT YOU!" Katara laughed and turned to face Aang.

"Yea you won, good game though it was nice playing with you."

"Yea good game, it was nice playing with you too!" They both walked out of the bowling area and they went to get some food. Aang grabbed a piece of cheese pizza and Katara got a hot dog. They both went to a nearby table and continued talking to each other and they became friends. Seconds later, Sokka came running up to her and slid into the chair next to her, and said, "Hey Katara" then he looked at the boy sitting across from her, "Who's this?" Sokka said this and was glaring at Aang and then Katara spoke up, "This is Aang, he's my friend"

Sokka then looked at Katara, then back at Aang. He then smiled and said, "Nice to meet you Aang, I'm Sokka, Katara's brother." "Nice to meet you too Sa ... a-a-a-Achoo!" The younger boy sneezed and sniffed a bit, "Nice to meet you too Sokka" He stuck out his hand for the older boy to shake, Sokka then shook Aang's hand and they then continued to eat their food.

Amid the silence, Aang spoke up, "Where do you guys live?"

Sokka then responded with, "We live across the street, you?" Aang nodded and said, do you guys live in the blue house with the garden in front?"

Katara then said, "Actually yes, how did you know?"

"I live in the gray house on the right side of you guys. I've seen you guys leave your house before."

"Oh, okay. Did you want to come over to our house for a sleepover so we can get to know each other more?" Katara secretly had a small crush on this new boy who she met and would like to talk more with him. She continued on, "I'll have to ask my mom of course but she will most likely say yes. Oh, Sokka, can we have a sleepover with Aang?"

"Sure Katara, why not."

Aang then spoke up with a small blush on his face because he too would like to talk with her more. "I- uh. I'd like that. But I'd have to ask my guardian if it's okay with him."

With this Katara smiled and said, "Let's get going then. I'll come over to your house if my mom says yes."

With this, all 3 new friends cleaned up their trash and went to their respective houses.

*Skip to Katara asking her mom*

"Hey, mom. I met a boy at the arcade and Sokka and I became friends and I asked him if we can all have a sleepover here and he said sure and then he said he'd ask his guardian so mom" Katara took a couple breaths in, "Can Aang have a sleepover here?"

Kya then responded, "Someone has a crush don't they?" Katara blushed and Kya got the answer she needed. "You are lucky your dad's not home. He would say no to this, but me on the other hand. Sure. Just make sure to be nice to him."

Katara then smiled ear-to-ear and ran up to her mom and gave her a big hug "THANKS MOM! YOU'RE THE BEST MOM EVER!"

"Now run along sweetheart. You don't want to forget to tell him the news" Kya then bopped her daughter on the nose and she giggled.

"Okay, mom! See ya" She waved to her mom and Kya waved back.

*Meanwhile, Aang asking Gyatso.*

Aang went up to Gyatso and asked, "Hey Gyatso, thanks for letting me go to the arcade. It was fun. But, uh. I met a new friend and she asked me to a sleepover so can I go Gyatso?"

Gyatso nodded with a smirk on his face knowing full well that he had a crush on this girl. Then they both turned towards the door as they heard the doorbell ring. With this, Gyatso said, "Get the door Aang. If she says yes get your stuff ready and be polite to their parents and make sure to not make a mess as you are a guest at their house." "Yes, Gyatso I will, thanks for letting me go by the way." "You are welcome, young man. Now go answer the door!"

*Skip to Aang entering her home*

As Aang entered his new friend's house he looked around and he immediately came to like this new place. He then saw a woman who appeared to be Katara and Sokka's mom. She gave a smile and asked him, "Welcome to our house young man. Katara's room is the 2nd room on the right upstairs. Put your stuff up there and while your up there. Tell her to come down because dinner is almost ready, do you have any allergies I should worry about?"

Aang blushed at the mention of Katara but then he shook it off and said, "I don't have any allergies but I am vegetarian if that's not any trouble."

"No no. It's no harm at all. We were actually having vegetable stew" As Aang heard this his face went into a mixture of the two following images.

Aang then gave a sheepish smile and responded with, "I'd like that, I'd REALLY like that."

Kya let out a chuckle and told him to go put his belongings upstairs in Katara's room.

As he went up he noticed her door was open but out of respect for her, he asked if he could come in. The door instantly opened revealing a beautiful Katara wearing a light blue tank top and dark blue shorts. He blushed at the sight and Katara spoke breaking the comfortable silence, "Hey Aang. Put your stuff on the floor and make yourself comfortable." She smiled at him as he walked in. "Thanks for coming Aang I haven't had a sleepover ever so I thought I'd invite you over to get to know you more." She half-lied as she didn't want him knowing her true intentions of inviting her over.

Aang then put his stuff down and a few minutes passed as Katara sat on the bed thinking and Aang on the floor against the bed thinking as well.

Eventually, Aang broke the silence with a simple, "So...". As he said this he had 2 thoughts come to his mind. He then turned to her and looked into her beautiful blue eyes. "Well, thanks for inviting me over. Also, One. Your mom said dinner is ready. And 2, where will I sleep?"

Katara looked into his grey eyes. " Okay, and you can sleep on the bed with me if you want." She said as she blushed a little."

He let out a laugh and said, "Thank you, I wouldn't want to sleep on the floor."

*Time skip to when it's time to go to bed.*

Aang walked with Katara to her room and then he was confused for a second so he stopped walking. "Hm? Why'd you stop walking Aang?"

"I just realized. I haven't seen your brother this whole time!"

"Oh, I guess I just realized that too. He'd probably at a sleepover with his friends because I'm here with you."

"Ohhhhh. That makes sense now." he responded as he continued walking again.

Soon they made it to her room and he opened the door for her and they both walked in. They talked for about an hour and then they both let out a sigh.

Katara was enjoying his presence and so was he. She looked up at the clock she had and it read in big red analog numbers: 10:58 PM. She then turned to Aang and pointed to the clock and spoke, "It's late, we better get to bed. Which side do you want?"

Aang looked at the time and his mouth made an : O face and responded politely, "Which side do YOU want?"

Katara giggled and grabbed the blanket and pulled it over herself on the wall-side of the bed. "Here"

Aang smiled and proceeded to turn the light off, turn the night-light on, after he did those two things, he then grabbed the other end of the blanket and pulled it over himself, and got situated.

Katara then turned to Aang and he then turned to her from a 2-foot distance. They both smiled and said "Goodnight". With this, they proceeded to get a good night's-sleep in each other's presence.

WOW. I actually wrote a chapter. I know this one was not like a usual one-shot for it but I wanted to go into a bit more detail on how their friendship began. If you have any ideas for the story. Please tell me, I'm still new to this writing thing so It would be nice if you could. Thanks - Sean.
