Background Information: Hel was Valtor's one and only ally during his fight against the Company of Light. She was deeply affected when Griffin left them since the two used to be best friends. She also had a love affair with Valtor before both of them were locked up in the Omega Dimension.

Time Line: Takes place during the events of Season 3. Chapter 1 is set a few days before Tecna closes the portal connecting Andros and the Omega Dimension.

Notes: This is going to be a mini-story, probably not longer than 5 or 6 chapters. The rating M stands for strong language, sexual content and possible violence.

Valtor was going through the precious ancient spells of the Cloud Tower when he felt the sudden disturbance within the room, aka Griffin's office, which was his at the moment of speaking. Raising a sceptic brow, the sorcerer's grey eyes left the book in his hands and casted a look around the room.

Everything seemed quite normal, also the Trix who were watching the havoc Valtor's remnants were wreaking on Andros from the crystal ball didn't seem to feel the disturbance.

He shrugged recklessly as he leaned back the chair and crossed his legs on the desk –if someone or something was lurking in his office, he would surely know that. There had been only one person who could move in the shadows without making him, or anyone, notice her presence; however, that person was still in a cold sleep in a cold world.

Leaning the wall behind her, Icy turned her cold blue eyes to Valtor "What are you planning to do about all those criminals leaking from the Omega Dimension?" she asked while the other two also turned their gazes to the blonde haired sorcerer.

Valtor didn't even bother looking at the Trix "Nothing in particular," he responded as he turned the page "In fact, they are of great use to me since they have been creating a magnificent distraction."

Stormy nodded "He's actually right, all the attention has been on Andros for the past few days, Icy." she said, causing the edge of Valtor's lip to curl upwards.

It was when he felt the same disturbance, again. However, this time it was much strong, so that it even made the Trix move uncomfortably in their places. Darcy ran her left hand through her hair "Um… Did you guys feel that as well?" she asked.

Icy and Stormy nodded simultaneously as Valtor closed the book in his hands and stood up from the chair with a frown on his face.

A wave of black magic hit Valtor right in the chest and threw him to the parallel wall, causing him to groan in pain as he fell down to the ground on his knees. The Trix jumped in their places and immediately took their defensive positions, waiting for the intruder to show themselves.

"Can it be Griffin?" Stormy asked, rather to Icy and Darcy "Maybe she escaped from her cell?"

Icy shook her head "No, it cannot be Griffin, her magic is not black." she responded.

"Well, there is literally no one we know who has black magic." Darcy said "Must be someone new."

Valtor rose to his feet and tidied his coat as he took a step forwards "Show yourself!" he commanded at the intruder. As a result, the sound of someone clicking their tongue was heard, which sounded like it was coming from behind the closed door. Without giving Valtor time to react, Icy sent ice-daggers in that direction; however, nothing happened.

"My patience is wearing thin," Valtor said with a harder tone as he took several steps forwards "Show. Yourself."

In response, the intruder's soft giggle began to echo inside the office; however, it felt like as if the sound was coming from everywhere, from every possible direction. Clearly, the situation had been enough to confuse the Trix since all three of them had lowered their guards "What the hell is happening?" Darcy muttered more to herself.

Valtor, on the other hand, had understood who the mysterious intruder was.

This is impossible, she was still in…

Before he could collect his thoughts, a black, rope-like magic wrapped around his throat and raised him into the air while suffocating him at the same time. Meanwhile, a dark-haired lady appeared from the shadows behind the closed door. The sound of her high-heeled boots echoed inside the room while she walked towards Valtor's figure, which was suspended in the air, with a violent look in her eyes.

"How dare you leave me in the Omega Dimension, you bastard?!"

The Trix were watching everything with wide eyes and shocked expressions.

Valtor held the magic around his throat with his right hand and pulled it away, eventually destroying it; however, the moment he touched her magic, it burned his hand. The sorcerer groaned in pain as he fell on his feet, his eyes never leaving her grey eyes.

"What's wrong with your shadows?" Valtor asked while he charged his magic at her direction. The dark-haired woman conjured a wall of black magic, which was in fact shadows.

After the wall absorbed Valtor's magic and disappeared, the woman sent a wave of shadows "They are now Valtor-proof." she spoke with a sassy tone and ducked to escape from another one of Valtor's magic, which ended up blowing up a bookshelf. After tidying her black, leather, low-cut jumpsuit, she sent a daring look at Valtor.

Seeing that the Trix were beginning to attack, Valtor shook his head "No, stop." he told them "This is between Hel and I." then he turned back to Hel with a grin on his lips "I suppose you've missed the warmth of the sun on your skin during your time in the Omega Dimension, hmm? The Sun of Solaria!"

Hel's grey eyes widened with fear upon seeing the light gathering between Valtor's hands, which were raised on top of his head "No, I really haven't, darling." Hel responded as she quickly wrapped her arms around her body "The Shadows of twilight, cover me!"

A sphere of shadows formed around Hel right before the light met with her body. For a moment, the room shone with blinding light which caused everyone either to turn their backs or to shield their eyes. Quickly, the shadows and the light destroyed themselves.

Upon seeing that Hel had transformed into her normal clothes –which was a long, black, satin dress with a deep-slit on its left side –Valtor raised an eyebrow at her "Are you finished taking your anger out on me?" he asked with mockery in his voice. Hel rolled her eyes as she simply showed him her middle finger and then turned right to face the Trix.

"So you haven't told your friends about me?" she asked while running her hands through her waist-length, wavy, black hair "But they seem to know about Griffin-the-famous-backstabber."

"She happens to be our headmistress." Stormy spoke and then corrected herself "She happened to be, before we were sent to the Omega Dimension."

Hel raised an eyebrow "So you three are the ones who freed him," she said as she pointed at Valtor, who was leaning the desk with his hands crossed over his chest "From the ice?"

"Well," Icy spoke with an arrogant air around her while she wrapped a strand of her silvery-blue hair around her index finger "You could argue how wise it was to trap the Witch of Ice in a frozen dimension."

Her words caused the dark haired witch to laugh "So you three were sent to the Omega Dimension because..?"

Yawning loudly, Darcy responded "We teamed up with Darkar."

"Darkar?" Hel asked, her eyes widened with shock "As in his grandfather Darkar?" she said, once again pointing at Valtor, who was softly laughing since she had called Darkar his grandfather.

"What?!" the Trix said at the same time as they looked at Valtor with question marks in their eyes "Darkar is your grandfather?!"

Valtor responded with his usual, laid-back attitude "Darkar was the master of the three Ancestral Witches who created me –so no, he is not my grandfather."

"Well, ladies, the shift from Darkar to Valtor must have been… disappointing, eh?" Hel said while looking at Valtor's reaction from the corner of her eye "I know he has all the looks and the charms but he is no match for Darkar's powers, now, is he?"

Valtor clicked his tongue "Sixteen years in the Omega Dimension has taught you nothing, hasn't it?" he said, causing Hel to turn her head to look at him with an arched brow "I would have at least expected you to learn to tame that incredibly sharp tongue of yours."

As a charming smile formed on her face, Hel walked towards Valtor with slow steps. When she was standing in front of him, she placed her right index finger under his chin and tilted his head so that they were making eye contact –since he was leaning the desk and Hel was wearing high-heeled, maroon pumps she stood taller than him at that moment. The dark haired woman leaned in before she spoke, their faces were so close that she could feel Valtor's warm breath on her pale skin. When she spoke, her lips brushed against his.

"I don't give a shit about your expectations, darling."

Taking a step back, Hel left Valtor's side and walked towards the chair behind the desk and sat there, crossing her legs with a victory smirk on her blood-red lips. The longing look inside Valtor's grey eyes had been all she needed to see –he did miss her after all.

"Alright, will someone please tell us who she is?" Icy spoke with an impatient tone as she pointed at Hel.

Darcy nodded "Yeah, and what is the deal between you two, this is getting so weird!"

"Hel is a witch, just like you three," Valtor began to speak so that his thoughts would stop lingering on the warmth which was spreading through his body when Hel was almost inside his arms "The essence of her powers are the shadows, that is why her magic is black."

"And there isn't any deal between us." Hel said, causing everyone to look at her "We used to be close friends before the Company of Light sent us both to the Omega Dimension for an eternity."

"Wait," Stormy interrupted "Does this mean you were working with Valtor and Griffin before… y'know, you were captured in ice?"

Hel nodded as a cruel smirk found its way to her lips "Of course, Griffin and I were best friends before the treacherous snake got scared of what we were capable of and ran to her dearest Faragonda." she responded "We three served the Ancestral Witches and for our work, we were rewarded handsomely –they would grant us powers beyond anyone's imagination."

"When the Ancestral Witches granted Hel the Magic of the Dead, Griffin was dearly afraid –she began to fear the havoc we could wreak on the Universe, hence she decided to change sides." Valtor finished the story. The edge of his lip curled upwards upon seeing the horrified expressions on the three young witches' faces.

Hel, too, seemed to enjoy the situation "Before you ask the usual questions, let me answer them: Yes, I can create an army of the dead. No, I cannot resurrect anyone. Yes, every new death feeds me, giving me more and more power. And once again, yes, I am the Queen of the Underworld." she said, then frowned "Speaking of which, I need to pay the Underworld a visit."

Darcy shook her head as she leaned the wall behind her, she was massaging her temples "This is too much for one night," she muttered, receiving approving sounds from Icy and Stormy "I'm going to sleep."

Hel stood up from where she was sitting "Could you girls show me an empty dorm or professor room?" she asked them while running her right hand on her left arm "I need a strong beauty sleep for my skin to be soft and warm once again –a cold slumber for sixteen years does turn you into a corpse."

Icy frowned "Why haven't you simply got some sunlight after escaping from the Omega Dimension?" she asked, which caused both Valtor and Hel to chuckle simultaneously.

"One can say that I am… allergic to sunlight." Hel responded while she started walking towards the door "Since my powers originally come from the shadows, sun is a literal no-go for me –it hurts so damn much when it's light touches my skin."

Upon feeling Valtor's eyes on herself, Hel looked at him, only to see that his gaze was lingering on her right hand "Where is your ring?" he asked with a hard tone, demanding to know the answer. However, even the mention of that ring was enough to cause Hel to fly into a rage.

The mentioned ring was a gift from Valtor, he had bewitched it so that it'd protect Hel from the sun, enabling her to go out during clear days as well.

"Girls, look!" Stormy whispered to her best friends as she pointed at the shadows inside the room which were slowly gathering around Hel, creating a dark glow around her body.

Valtor had a frown on his face, he knew that the shadows gathered around Hel only when she was mad with fury; however, he wasn't able to understand why the topic of the ring would cause her to rage.

"Your mothers' little puppet Mandragora stole it from me right before I was captured by the Company of Light!" Hel roared, which made the Trix leap up in their places but Valtor didn't even flinch. He was used to her tantrums, after all "She is the reason why I have spent sixteen miserable years in the Omega Dimension –she knew I would be vulnerable in the sun! When I get my hands on that low-life once again, she is going to beg for mercy!"

Well, I hope you've enjoyed the first chapter, I'd appreciate any feedbacks you're willing to give and I really wonder your thoughts about Hel -
