Eraserhead head arrived to the scene of absolute chaos. He had been called in by Sir Nighteye, saying they needed him and his quirk. There wasn't much description to go off of on the phone call, only that he was needed. Though nothing could really describe the devastation in front of him.

The area was nearly destroyed, with buildings toppled down, some were on fire, pipes with water had been torn up, and it seemed as if the very foundation they were standing on was going to come apart at the seams. Violent tremors shook the ground almost constantly.

There was no sign of All Might as Eraser had been expecting, though he quickly found Sir Nighteye. Before he could ask any questions, Nighteye gestured for Eraserhead to follow him up a pile of rubble. Once up there, the hero couldn't take his eyes away from the obvious cause of the chaos. In the very center of this destruction was a ball that consisted of every element, spinning out of control.

"What is that?" The man asked Nighteye in shock, being sure to keep his eyes on the sphere.

"We arent sure, All For One brought something out, All Might stopped attacking, and then this appeared." Sir gestured to the elements, the wind around them starting to pick up at alarming speeds. "All Might moved the fight elsewhere and left us to deal with it, he just told us not to harm it and that we needed you."

Eraserhead frowned at that. If it was another villain, All Might wouldn't have hesitated to take them down. No, he had a feeling someone innocent was in there, and that is why he was called in. Eraserhead understood what his job was now; safely deactivate this quirk and save the civilian inside.

"Alright." He nodded as he assessed the situation further. After determining a safe route, Eraserhead left Nighteye's side and went to work.

He left from one rubble pile to another, avoiding flames, pushing against the increasing strength of the winds, and avoiding the rocks being thrown from this orb. Eraserhead worked slowly and methodically to get closer, keeping an eye on the silhouette he could make out inside the orb.

The elemental sphere was about 10 feet off of the ground and rising as Eraserhead was equal distance away. He had to get closer to be able to save the person incase they fell after he deactivated their quirk, but the winds were nearly knocking him off of his feet.

'If I can just get 5 feet away I should be able to catch them'

With that thought he pulled his newer scarf away from his face. He has only used this a few times for apprehension, so he hoped it would work in this situation. He couldn't wait any longer, as the person was getting higher and the elements were increasing in their mayhem. With a deep breath, Eraserhead crouched as much as the winds would allow, and then activated his quirk.

The rocks immediately plummeted to the ground, making Eraserhead dodge left and right, but he still keep his eyes trained on the center of the now dying sphere. The winds calmed, the fire that was orbiting the sphere was smothered. Water that seemed to come from nowhere, fell to the earth. When finally, everything ceased, Eraserhead threw out his scarf as he saw a small silhouette start to fall rapidly.

"Shit!" he hissed as the scarf barely made contact, dodging the rocks had put him farther away than he originally planned. Eraserhead started running towards the falling person, maneuvering the scarf at the same time to wrap the person up and try to pull them closer to him. He was finally able to get under the person just in time to catch them before the hit the ground. Grunting at the sudden weight in his arms.

His scarf managed to cover the entire person in his effort to save them. One of the first things Eraser noticed, was how small and light this bundled up person felt. His eyes were starting to irritate him with the dust that had risen from the falling debris, but he continued to stare, unblinking, to assure the person wasnt going to use their quirk the moment he stopped. After a second of no movement though, he set the person on the ground and started removing his scarf from them. He finally blinked in surprise, when he saw the little girl who was underneath the scarf, was unconscious.

She couldn't have been any older than 10, yet under her torn clothes showed that her body had been through many battles. Some more recent than others. Around her eyes were dark circles showing a lack of sleep and nutrition, her skin was so pale Aizawa doubted she had been in the sun in the past few months. Or even years.

As he finished removing the rest of the scarf from this little one, his frown deepened when he saw massive amounts of red staining the scarf. He unwrapped more to determine where the blood was coming from, once he saw her arm, he immediately wrapped the scarf tighter around it to act as a quick tourniquet. After, he picked the girl up, and started to run towards where he had left the other heroes.

"She has at least one broken leg and a serious wound on her forearm." Eraserhead informed the heroes quickly as he passed them not slowing his pace, he had to make it to a hospital, or at least try to find an ambulance that wasnt already taking civilians.

As he reached the outskirts of the battle, he saw a line of ambulances and raced faster towards them. He was unsure of how much blood she has been loosing but with how pale she was, he wasnt going to risk slowing down. He hopped in the closest ambulance, with the girl, and started reciting to the EMT's everything that he knew as he stepped out of their way and sat down.

"Let's get a catheter in her and start her on fluids."

"We need to get that blood pressure up."

"The right radius and right tibia both appear to have breaks."

Eraserhead listened and watched the medics worked on this girl. They had her hooked up to a small monitor that was beeping a little too slow for Aizawa's liking.

He peeled his eyes away from the girl and leaned his head against the side of the ambulance, wondering just what could have happened to her and why she was even at the scene of All for One and All Might's showdown.

He was stirred out of his thoughts as the paramedics started to stand and asked him to move out of the way. The moment the vehicle stopped, the doors opened, and the medics were taking the young girl into the emergency center.

Eraserhead got out as well, unsure of whether to follow, or go home. The thought of leaving her here didnt sit right with him though. Where were her parents? How did she get there? What was happening to her when he got there? Would she activate her quirk again if she woke up,

He decided then, that he needed these questions answered, and that he needed to make sure he could help control the situation should she wake up. So he walked into the building as well.

"I'm here with the girl that was just brought in," Aizawa told the receptionist, "I am here to help stop her quirk should she wake up." He was hoping that, since he was still dressed in his hero attire, she wouldnt ask too many questions.

"Of course, right this way." The nurse said, gesturing to another for him to follow.

"Right now we are starting to stabilize her," the nurse informed him as they walked down the long, white hallway. " We called in a healer to see if they can assist her as non invasively as possible."

"Recovery Girl?" He asked.

"Not at this time, the girl has lost too much blood. Recovery Girl's quirk would end up killing her with fatigue." The nurse said sadly, "She's B negative, so we are having a harder time finding blood that wouldnt give her a reaction."

"I'm B negative," Eraser said without thinking, "I could do it so Recovery girl could heal her."

'Recovery Girl is the best healer that I know of in this area. If this speeds up healing, I can get this girl back home.' He justified his somewhat impulsive actions.

The nurse turned to him startled

"O-of course! The doctor would probably want us to run a few tests to assure antibody compatibility, but let's get you there so we can start as soon as possible."

They rounded a few corners before coming upon a room with staff moving hurriedly about.

"Doctor," the nurse started, getting the attention of an older woman with greying, brown hair, "This man shares the same blood type and is a willing donor."

"I'm also here to help control this girl's quirk, should she become out of control." He added.

"Great," the doctor said turning to her assistant, "Please start the compatibility test as soon as possible so we can proceed with the transfusion."

After having a sample of his blood taken and finding out that he and this child were compatible for donation, he sat in a chair next to the hospital bed. There was an IV line set up between him and the girl, with a pump in the middle to deliver the blood at the appropriate rate.

Aizawa kept his eyes on the girl as the nurses kept checking on her vitals during the procedure; he was truly noticing how many scars she had. The scars were surprisingly even, almost surgical, all looked to be done with purpose. She had at least 10 on either one of her arms and hands. Her feet also had scarring around the toes and tendons. The one scar that was the most infuriating to him was the one above her eye. It was long, jagged, and very pink, meaning it was an actual injury.

"Eraserhead," a familiar voice called the man out of his thoughts. "You're still here?"

Said man turned to look at Sir Nighteye. Upon setting his eyes on the man, he noticed how defeated the man looked, his eyes somehow gained a darkness behind them.

Aizawa nodded, "We were the same blood type and I wanted to make sure I could help control the situation, should she wake up."

Nighteye stared at the child in question, though his gaze seemed distant almost seeming to look past her.

"Is All Might okay?" Aizawa asked, fully turning his attention to the other man in the room.

He could tell Nighteye wanted to say something more than just the nod he gave, but with the nurses in the room, he knew it would have to be a conversation for later.

Suddenly, a groan came from the girl on the Hospital bed. Both men straightened up, preparing themselves for anything. The nurses called in the doctor, and started monitoring the child's movements closely.

When her eyes snapped open, Aizawa could see her start to hyperventilate as she looked around. The doctors were trying to calm her down, but as soon as she locked eyes on the needle for the blood transfusion, she started to scream.

She ripped the needle out of her arm, and Aizawa promptly did the same. The doctors tried to grab the childs flailing limbs before a big gust of wind sent the people and machines in the room, flying.

Aizawa quickly sat up after being thrown into a wall, the wind in the room whipping his loose hair everywhere making it hard to see, but he managed to see the girl and deactivate her quirk.

The look of panic only increased as she realized that her quirk was no longer working. As the doctors were all talking with eachother about something, Aizawa tried stepping closer to calm the girl down.

"Hey, you're safe. We were just giving you a blood transfusion since you lost so much." He tried to say as calm as possible, though it came out pretty monotone. He still kept his quirk activated, as he could see she was about to run away if anything were to happen.

The girl tried to move away from him, but yelped as she registered the broken bones in her leg and arm. Aizawa stopped moving closer, trying to calm the feral child by letter her keep a safe distance.

"I know this is scary," Aizawa started, "but in order to heal those bones, we need to finish the transfusion."

The girl whimpered "Please... no more knives or needles." Her voice sounded small, but hoarse, as if she had recently lost it.

Everyone in the room seemed to frown at how scared she was. At this point the doctor stepped in, though she also kept a healthy distance so the girl would remain calm.

"This man here gave you some of his blood, because you lost quite a bit from that cut on your arm. We wanted to make sure you would be okay, but if that is something that frightens you, we are truly sorry." The doctor said, smiling kindly at the young girl.

The girl took a moment to process this information, looking down at her injured arm, to Aizawa, and back to the doctor. She nodded slowly in understanding.

"Are you feeling a little better?" The doctor asked.

The little girl nodded slowly, not taking her big green eyes off of the Doctor.

"That is very good," the doctor smiled again, she was doing her best to ease the small girl. "We have a way to heal you without any tools, but the healer will need to touch you, and you may get a pretty tired from it. Would that be something you want? Otherwise we might have to go into surgery since you have a few broken bones."

The girl flinched at the sound of surgery. "No surgeries!" The girl said as loud as her cracking voice could muster. Her green eyes were scared, but also firm, showing that she would fight tooth and nail not to go into a surgery.

The Doctor nodded calmly, "Alright, I'll go ahead and call Recovery Girl and we can go from there, okay?"

The girl nodded shakily, her eyes dark with mistrust.

_one month later_

Aizawa had been with the girl nearly every day. He occasionally went home or would go to UA just to plan lessons for his substitute while he was gone.

The girl had made significant progress in recovering. She had needed 2 more transfusions after the first few healing sessions with Recovery Girl had drained the little one. But now she was able to walk around with only some minor stiffness.

Aizawa had been trying to get whatever information he could on the girl so he could get her back to her parents. Unfortunately the girl couldn't even remember her name. Let alone how she was caught by All for One. This frustrated Aizawa to no end. What would happen to this girl who has been through so much after she recovers? What if All For One tries to get the girl again? A foster home that isn't with a hero is an extremely foolish decision.

"Your eyebrows are really mad." The girl said quietly, "Did I do something wrong Aizawa-san?"

Immediately he relaxed his face, trying to remain neutral.

"No you didn't do anything wrong. I'm just thinking is all."

"What are you thinking about?" She asked, her wide green eyes staring at him curiously.

He didn't want to overwhelm her with the thoughts that he was having at the moment, hell, it was too much for him to even think about. He had to come up with an answer though.

"I was just thinking what a good name for you would be."

The girl's face immediately went to stunned. She was too shocked to close her mouth all the way. She had told him at one point during her stay at the hospital, that she thought her name was "Girl", so he knew that this question might have been a little jarring to her.

"With all of those elemental quirks she has, she's almost as fierce as a dragon." On of the pediatric nurses chimed in as they took her vitals.

Aizawa nodded at that, "How about Kayda?"

Though he was pretty sure any name would have made her happy, even he couldn't stop the gentle grin that appeared on his face as he watched this 10 year old smile at him and nod enthusiastically.

"Yes!" She exlaimed "I want to be Kayda!"

"Alright," Aizawa got up from his chair and went to go sit on the side of her bed. He knew he was making a pretty impulsive decision, but he couldn't think of any other choice, especially after seeing her so happy. "Kayda, would you like me to become your foster parent?"

If he thought she was smiling before, her big toothy grin could have split her face.

"YES!"
