Hello! I'm really hoping that this one will be long enough :) Maybe I'll post this tmrw, not today. Eh, I don't know. Too lazy!
Well, one thing is for sure.
School is tough!
Annabeth's POV
Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school... again.
I snickered.
That was pretty normal in the demigod world.
And that's the least of his troubles.
I stifled a snort.
Of course, it wasn't the biggest trouble there was!
Lately, mythological monsters seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life.
You think?
This guy was obviously a demigod.
And worse, he's angered a few of them.
I shook my head.
I wasn't going to spoil the book.
I opened the book. It said, "THE LIGHTNING THIEF'.
Maybe the Percy guy was a son of Zeus?
Nah, he can't be. They made the Big Three pact, so it's pretty much impossible. Still, I felt bad for the guy. He obviously had no idea who he was.
Why was there a trident? Don't tell me... Poseidon? Nah. Please, no. It can't be a fish breath. I'd rather hang with Clarisse!
Just kidding, just kidding.
But really. That's how much I hate Poseidon kids.
Zeus kids are way better.
Thalia...Thalia should be alive.
No one in the Big Three should have kids. Otherwise, this kind of stuff happens.
Have you noticed I don't like Poseidon kids?
I mean, there's still hope, though. Maybe that's why it says this Percy kid made some god mad. Maybe it was Poseidon.
Maybe.
Hopefully.
I guess I'm going to read more of the blurb now. But not the spoiler part.
But to succeed in his quest,
Hold on. How does this kid have a quest?
This is stupid.
I know in my gut that this is going to come true because I have a feeling Apollo wrote it, (don't ask) so how did this GUY get a quest? How, when I've been begging for one my whole life?
Stupid life.
Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief:
So there's a theft! Wonder why. Maybe it has something to do with the cover?
Oh! What if Percy is a son of Zeus, and he has to catch someone who's threatening Zeus's power, because Zeus's power is lightning, so he has to catch the LIGHTNING THIEF!
he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him;
Ouch.
I have a dad who abandoned me, too.
Poor Percy. Abandoned by Zeus.
solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend;
Double ouch! Abandoned and betrayed. Thankfully, I'll never be betrayed, because I never let anyone get too close.
Only Luke and Chiron, and they would never betray anyone.
and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.
What did this kid do that made him the target of bad luck? I wonder who betrays him...
What's the first chapter?
