Pulling a sickie
A guest asked for a oneshot of Henry faking sick after Snow and Emma come back from the Enchanted Forest because he just wants to be with Emma because he missed her.
"Honest mom. I feel terrible." Henry groaned. He had seen a movie where the kid licked his palms to fake being sick and got away with it. It seemed to be working for him right now. Emma frowned. He certainly didn't have a high temperature, and his feeble little coughs were no better than the ones she did when she pulled a sickie as a kid. "Feel my hands. There all clammy." Henry insisted. That's when it twigged for Emma.
"Before the curse broke, you and I watched Ferris Bueller's day off. This is exactly the same stunt he pulled. You're not planning on driving my bug out a window, are you?" She questioned him. Henry gulped. He had forgotten he'd watched that movie with his mom. "I thought maybe that movie might be a bit of a bad influence on you. Oh well, just as well I watched too. So, what's with the sick act?" Emma asked him. Emma turned red and looked away, blushing. "Henry, talk to me. Otherwise I have to call your poor concerned grandma and explain that your little illness here was fictional." Emma threatened him.
"I just missed you was all." Henry said quietly. "You were gone for ages. I thought you and grams were never coming back. So when you did, I hated going to school. It was great being with grandma, but since the curse broke and everyone realised she's my grandma they switched the classes around. So it started sucking and I started missing you more." Henry explained. Emma felt bad for threatening him to use his grandma against him now.
"Scooch over." Emma told him. Henry did as she asked and Emma lay beside him on the bed. She wrapped an arm around him and rested her head against the top of his.
"I guess it must have been really scary for you, huh?" She said. Henry nodded. "Well, I guess one sick day won't hurt. We can watch more movies you should have already off. Although maybe less with bad messages for kids. But tomorrow, you have to go back kid. You have your phone. You can call me at all your breaks. I'm not going anywhere away from you again. I promise kid." Emma assured him. Henry nodded, snuggling against her. He still didn't like the idea of going back to school tomorrow, but he guessed being able to call her at all his breaks was a good compromise.
