Daddy- part 2
Reading Pixie asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch1936 "Daddy" where Emma calls him daddy in public.
Emma might absolutely hate doing paperwork, but aside from that her least favourite role as co-sheriff of Storybrooke was town patrols. It involved her and her dad mindlessly walking the streets of Storybrooke just to make sure all the residents remembered they were always there, keeping an eye on things. Emma couldn't deny she wasn't at her most attentive during these patrols. She tended to let her head wander for a bit. Think of what needed done around the house. Any shopping she needed to pick up. If there were any special occasions she needed to get a gift for.
However, as her mind was wondering on that particular patrol so was her dad's. He was slightly less focused than Emma. Charming wasn't really paying attention to where he was going and as such, didn't notice the open drain he was about to step right into. Emma only spotted it at the last second. Right before he was about to step down and possibly break his leg.
"Daddy!" Emma shouted, pushing him out the way. Charming stumbled slightly before steadying himself and standing up properly. He looked down and saw the drain and realised why Emma had sounded so alarmed and shoved him. Then he grinned.
"Sorry, what was that now?" He asked her. Emma blushed bright pink. Neal had gotten her into the habit of calling their father daddy, but this was the first time she had said it aloud in public without her little brother present.
"Oh don't look so smug." She grumbled, stomping on ahead of him. But Charming couldn't help it, he was feeling pretty smug.
