Fighting over Emma

A guest asked for a oneshot of Snow and Charming both making plans to do something with Emma. They end up arguing over who gets to spend the day with her. Emma acts annoyed but is actually touched that she has parents who love her enough to argue over her.

Guest and Nikki: Unfortunately I can't as people told me off for writing too many pregnancy announcement stories :/ I only got away with that chapter as it was a bit of a paradox lol.

EmmaDarkHook: That doesn't have any Charming family interaction.

"Oh come on Charming, you get to see her every day!" Snow whined. "I hardly ever get to spend any time with her when it's just us. You can reschedule dinner…"

"Or, you could reschedule your mani/pedi" Charming put it to her. Snow huffed, folding her arms across her chest. "Snow don't make me feel bad for this. There's a big difference between working with Emma and actually getting to spend any quality time with her. I'm putting my foot down. This Saturday I'm going out for dinner with Emma. You can do your mani/pedi another day." Charming said firmly. He badly wanted some time with their daughter. Snow had got to spend all that time with her in the Enchanted Forest!

Neither parent knew that Emma was, in fact, able to hear everything they were saying…and she was smiling. Never before had she had anybody fight over time with her before.

"You know guys." Emma said, forcing herself into a straight face to try and stop her parents from fighting. Snow and Charming jumped, their cheeks turning pink. "Nobody works on Saturdays, and we do have roughly fourteen hours of active time. If you're both so desperate to spend some time with me this Saturday, then why can't mom and I go for a mani/pedi in the morning or early afternoon which gives dad and I more than enough time to go for dinner? That way dad can watch Neal in the morning and mom can watch him in the evening. Heck, that gives you some one-on-one time with Neal each as well." Emma suggested. Snow and Charming stayed silent, both feeling rather silly. They had been so focused on their plans being on the same day they hadn't even thought about splitting the day up.

"Well, that does sound like a better plan." Charming admitted. Snow nodded in agreement. Emma sighed, rolling her eyes slightly.

"Only you two. I thought you were meant to be the icons for true love? So next time, rather than fighting over me, why not just try and sort it out between yourselves? You guys aren't meant to fight." Emma reminded them. Snow and Charming now felt bad, especially since Emma had overheard their niggling.

"Fair point honey." Snow said. "So, you up for that on Saturday then? We'll go for a mani/pedi early on and your dad can take you out for dinner in the evening?" Emma smiled, coming and sitting between her parents on the couch.

"Sounds perfect."
