Mistaken relationship

A guest asked for a oneshot of Snow and Emma being in town together and Snow, without thinking, calls Emma baby. Someone overhears and thinks they are a couple. Emma tries to tell the person that they aren't but Snow just laughs and plays along by hugging and kissing Emma and calling her more pet names to annoy her.

Some people are obviously not going to like this chapter, that's cool, just skip it. For the rest of you prepared to read it, I promise to keep it kosher lol.

"What else do you still need to get?" Emma asked her mom, trying to keep herself from whining. But the weight of the bags was getting heavier and heavier with every step. She hated shopping. But she had promised her mom she would help her out getting the stuff they needed for redecorating and Emma was a woman of her word.

"Not much Em." Snow promised her. "We just need some wallpaper and a couple more tins of paint. Oh Emma baby lets go in here. They look like they have a good selection." Emma nodded. She hadn't even noticed the pet name really. She was too used to it now. But not everybody was. In fact, not everybody in Storybrooke knew Snow White and Prince Charming and the unique situation with their daughter. Much like the woman who had just overheard Snow calling Emma baby as she entered the store.

"Hi ladies. What room are you looking to decorate today? Bathroom? Living room? Or perhaps your bedroom?" She asked. Emma gave her a curious look.

"Our bedroom?" She asked. The woman nodded, now wondering why Emma seemed so confused by that concept.

"Well, yes. What colour would you and your girlfriend be looking for?" She asked. Emma now realised. She had heart her mother's pet name and assumed they were a couple. Beside her, her mom burst out laughing, her bags falling to the floor. Emma was mortified. Gross!

"Sorry, you've got the wrong end of the stick. You see we're…"

"So deeply and madly in love!" Snow suddenly announced. She wrapped her arms around Emma's neck. Emma didn't think she could have gotten more horrified. Apparently she was wrong. Snow puckered up her lips and pressed them firmly against Emma's cheek. "Aren't we, snookums?" Emma didn't know how to answer. If she now told the poor woman they were in fact mother and daughter she might give her a complex. How was she meant to know her mom was a wind up merchant? "Aw, always the shy one my honeybun." Snow added, placing her hand on Emma's cheek. She then turned back to the now very confused saleswoman. "We're doing a whole house redecoration, so would you mind showing us to your paint section?" The woman nodded, leading the way. Snow grabbed her bags again and started walking. She looked back when she realised Emma had stayed put.

"Come on, honey bear. We've got some paint to buy." Snow said with a cheeky smile. Emma rolled her eyes and shuffled after her. This was not improving her love for shopping.
