The mad doctor's lair

Just one of my own :).Season 5b spoilers

Guest: I'm well aware that you're the same person as yesterday requesting 2 different oneshots. Consider this your first strike before guest reviews are stopped for a month as warned.

AE: I'm fairly confident you're also the same person, but it doesn't matter either way as that has been done before. I don't know the chapter number.

Guest: That sounds like an interesting idea, but as I've said previously, all chapters have to have Charming family interaction.

Bob Minion: Sorry, but that has been too closely covered.

"I've told you." Emma snarled, her whole body clenching as she heard the door open. She didn't even turn to face him. She couldn't. Not again. "I have nothing more to say to you. Please, just leave me alone." Jekyll had a way of getting under her skin like nobody Emma had ever met before. Not even Ingrid had managed to make such an impact on Emma. That was before the physical pain. He and his cronies were masters at that too.

"I'm here now, Jekyll. It's time to fulfil your part of the deal. Let Emma go." Emma whipped her head around. No. It couldn't be. She wouldn't be so stupid!

"Mom?" Emma croaked. She tried to scrambled to her feet and go over to her mom, convince her to go back on her deal, but found her arms grabbed by two of Jekyll's henchmen. She struggled, kicking to release herself. She wanted to use her magic, but the cuff on her wrist prevented that.

Snow couldn't even look at Emma. If she did, she would become too enraged with the treatment she was receiving at the hands of Jekyll's cronies. She knew how Jekyll operated. He fed off his victim's emotions. If she stayed calm and collective, she gave him less motive.

"Mom, no!" Emma begged. Jekyll would never release her from here. Emma refused to be responsible for Neal never seeing their mother again. "Mom! How could dad allow this?!"

"Your dad doesn't know I'm here." Snow told her calmly. "Jekyll agreed to trade you for me. Go home, Emma. Don't do anything reckless." Snow pleaded with her daughter, knowing what Emma was like. Emma didn't listen to her mom though. She continued to struggle all the way to the door.

"Wait." Jekyll called as Emma was about to be released. His henchmen stopped immediately. "Bring her back." They did as they were told. Snow stared up at Jekyll.

"We have a deal." She said coldly. "My cooperation and captivity in exchange for Emma's immediate and permanent release." Jekyll smiled at Snow as he walked towards her. Snow didn't break eye contact with him the whole time. She wasn't scared of him. In the meantime, Emma was brought back in and placed in the corner of the room.

"I lied." He hissed. "Emma stays, and so do you. I know you're not frightened of me, Snow White. Or more specifically, what I could do to you." Jekyll looked over to Emma. "You're frightened of what I could do to her, to your whole family. What I've already said to her…"

"Leave her alone." Snow warned, her calm exterior fading. Jekyll chuckled, knowing he'd cracked her. He looked back to the bandit princess.

"That's exactly why you both need to stay. Your daughter can't even look me in the eye she's that frightened of what I'll remind her of next. She's terrified. The best way to scare you, Snow White, is to scare her. Your prince will be going mad on the outside searching for you both. Your grandson, her son, will be frantically trying to use his Author skills to find you but to no avail. With only two of you here, I have you all held prisoner. This is what happens when you get in my way. Now, there are things to do, but I'll be back." Jekyll smiled wickedly over at Emma. "Same time as usual, Emma?" Snow's blood boiled at the way he made her daughter flinch, but she forced herself to remain calm. What had he done to her in these last few days? "Maybe your mom and I can have a little chat, hmm?" Emma's eyes suddenly snapped up. She got up from where she was sitting and made to swing a punch at Jekyll, but Snow stopped her, pulling her back.

"Don't rise to his bait." She warned her.

"Listen to your mother Emma. Or do I need to bring the wires back out like I did on your first night?" He asked her coolly. Emma suddenly became silent and withdrawn, slinking back. Jekyll smiled wickedly again. "That's what I thought. Now, behave yourselves. I will be back later." With that, Jekyll exited their prison.

Emma was furious. She couldn't believe her mom was down here now as well.

"You shouldn't have come here." Emma snapped. "He was never going to release me."

"What were your father and I meant to do Emma? Leave you to rot?" Snow responded. "It's just a coincidence that I found Jekyll and offered up myself before he did. Either way one of us was coming in exchange for you. Yes, we knew it was likely he would trick us, but it was a risk we had to take. Now, sit down and try to calm down. They're coming for us. They'll get us out of here." Snow said, placing a reassuring hand on Emma's shoulder. Emma sighed, not so sure before she slunk back into the corner and slid down the wall, landing on the floor with a soft thud. Snow looked back at her sadly before looking to the door. She knew Charming was coming for them. She just had to keep Emma safe until he found them.
