Mistaken relationship- part 3
EmmaAthena2013 asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch1967 "Mistaken relationship" (part 2) where this time it's Emma and Charming mistaken for being in a relationship. When Snow finds out, she thinks it's super hilarious. As usual with all 3rd instalments, this will be the last in this miniseries.
"Emma, would you relax." Charming told his daughter as she was clearly trying to hide behind him. "We only need one more tin of paint. We'll be in and out before you know it. They probably won't even recognise you." Emma just snorted. Of course they would recognise the lady who had the strange "girlfriend". Charming just sighed. She wasn't half over reactive sometimes.
Emma continued to hide in her dad's shadow as they made their way into the store and towards the paint aisle. Emma thought they had made it without her being spotted…but then she overheard people in the next aisle over.
"…Isn't that the girl who was here a couple of days ago?" One whispered. Emma cautiously looked between two tins of paint and saw it was the woman who had spoken to them last time talking to a colleague. "I thought she and the woman she was with were together. I guess not. Either that or she's having her bread buttered on both sides…"
"Ugh!" Emma whispered. She pulled back, not wanting to hear anymore.
"What's wrong Em?" Charming asked. "Were you licking the paint or something?" He teased her. Emma shook her head.
"No…must just be the smell. You've got the paint we need, let's buy it and get out of here." Emma tried to drag her dad off, but he knew something was up and looked where Emma had been looking. He saw the two women talking as well and heard the next bit of their conversation.
"I wonder if her girlfriend suspects she's with a guy too? Must be a bit of a shock coming." Charming started to laugh uncontrollably. His laughter kept up- much to Emma's annoyance- as they bought the paint. He was still chuckling on the drive home, and then as they went back into the house.
"What's so funny?" Snow asked as they came into the living room. "Did Emma hide behind you the whole time?" Snow asked, thinking that was the joke.
"Well, yes, but that's not what was so funny." Charming told her. "While we were getting the paint the woman you saw last week was in the next aisle. She didn't know we could hear her. She was talking to someone else who works there and thought Emma was cheating on you with me." Snow suddenly fell about in fits of laughter.
"It's not funny!" Emma shouted. "Not only do they now think I'm in a relationship with both of my parents, but they think I'm a total slut! This is humiliating."
"Imagine how we feel." Charming said, wrapping an arm around Snow and pretending to be hurt (which was hard seeing as he still wanted to laugh). "You're cheating on us!" Then, both parents again started laughing hysterically. Emma just scowled at them both before stomping up the stairs. Why couldn't she have a normal family?!
