Driven mad
ThatSwanQueenShipper asked for a oneshot of Tamara and Greg giving Emma the shock treatment instead of Regina. Emma goes crazy with the power of her magic so they decide to lock her up. Then Emma's family come for her and meet crazy Emma for the first time. I've to base it on Harley Quinn which suits me to a t because I love Harley! I hope you don't mind me changing one small detail in your request :).
It took Snow, Charming and Henry a week to locate Emma. They knew that Greg and Tamara had tortured Emma from what Snow had seen through the magical eye drop, but they had been unable to find her. Greg and Tamara appeared to disappear without a trace as well, leaving the family to worry they'd taken Emma with them. Especially when locator potions weren't working.
It was only when Charming managed to get some stronger magic from Rumplestiltskin that they got some answers. It appeared Greg and Tamara had headed to Columbia, South Carolina. It seemed the Home Office had a head office there. But it seemed Emma wasn't with them. Through the magic Rumple gave them, they were led to a cage deep underground in Storybrooke. It became apparent that the reason the locator potions weren't working was this area completely repelled magic. They approached a room with a locked door and a key hanging on a hook. Attached to the key was a note. Charming took down the key and shone his torch against the note.
For whoever finds her,
Under the orders of the Home Office, we subjected a creature of magic to rigorous testing.
Charming had to stop reading for a moment. They were referring to his daughter as a creature of magic? What had they done to her.
We believed that through extreme trauma caused through electronic voltage applied directly to the body, the subject would cease to be able to perform magic, or, would suffer too much negative experience to wish to. We were wrong.
The electricity only seems to have made the subject stronger. A magic preventing cuff was no longer strong enough to contain her magic. We had to use extreme sedation to keep her comatose while we made a cage to contain her extreme power. With help from the Home Office, this was achieved. Inside this room, the subject is contained within a cage. Enter at your own risk.
Charming quickly jammed the key into the lock and turned it. Emma wasn't being held in a cage a second longer. Before he opened the door, he turned back to Snow and Henry.
"We need to be ready." He told them. "However Emma looks in there…it's not going to be pleasant."
"I'm ready." Henry said. "I don't want her in there any longer." Charming smiled at his grandson's bravery. Snow placed her hand in Charming's, a sign of solidarity. Charming took in a steadying breath before he opened the door. There in the centre of the room was a cage. Beside the cage, was a generator hooked up to it. The cage was electrocuted. In the middle of the cage, sat Emma. There wasn't even a bed in the cage. Just hard floor. Her family were appalled. How could anyone do this to her.
"Emma?" Snow croaked. Emma slowly turned her head to see who was speaking to her. She hadn't heard voices in so long. Well, not outwardly anyway. Emma's face slowly turned into a smile, but her eyes stayed glazed over. There was something incredibly unsettling about the expression.
"Hey guys." She said brightly. "Nice to see you again." Her family rushed to the cage.
"Emma, how do we let you…" Emma held her hand up, clearly listening.
"No, they're alright. We don't need to hurt them…come on now, cooperate with me, would you? There. That's better." Emma smiled back up at her family. "Sorry about them. Continue." Snow, Charming and Henry all looked between each other, alarmed. The torture Greg and Tamara had put Emma through had really done a number on her. The question was, could it be undone?
