Calling her- part 2
snoopykid asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch1943 "Calling her" where Henry catches Emma on a really bad day and she begs for his help in stealing the dagger from Rumple.
Guest: I do remember reading that, did I not leave a wee note?
Ausfan: thanks for letting me know!
Henry could hear his mom muttering to herself from the stairs. She sounded distressed, something wasn't right. He quietly crept towards the doorway to listen more closely to what she was saying. Even then, he wasn't able to make it out properly.
Henry stayed visible at the doorway for just a fraction of a second too long when Emma felt that she was being watched. She whipped her head around and was able to see her son before he hid behind the door.
"Henry." She said, sounding relieved. Emma then scurried to the hall and pulled a now alarmed Henry into the living room. He could see her eyes darting around the room, wringing her hands together.
"Mom, what's wrong?" Henry asked, beginning to wonder if he should contact his grandparents.
"Henry, I need your help." Emma told him. "Can you help me?" Henry nodded. Anything to help her get out of this state. "Henry, I need you to go to your grandpa's shop. I need you to get me the dagger…"
"Are you crazy mom?!" Henry asked her. "No! No way. I know I said I'd help you, but that's not helping."
"Henry, please!" Emma begged him. Henry took a step away from her grasp. He refused to do this. It would only lead to more problems. He shook his head, hating the way it made her look so crestfallen.
"Mom, having the dagger won't help." Henry said gently. "Whatever my mom told you to do to help, do that instead." He encouraged her. Emma still hadn't given away the details of Regina's advice to her. Emma nodded, knowing Henry was right. Having the dagger wouldn't help. Not really. She had to be strong, for him. For her boy.
"Ok." She told him. "You're a good son, Henry. I'm sorry I put you in this position. That was wrong of me." Emma apologised. Henry moved forward and gave his mom a hug, seeing that she needed one. Emma hugged her son back. Because of him, and the rest of their family, she knew she could get through this.
