M.I.A

Jade Star asked for a oneshot of Snowing enjoying spending time with Emma and Killian's daughter in the SB waiting for them to return home from helping fight a battle in the EF. Grumpy arrives to inform them that the pair are missing.

Kathy: That doesn't include any Charming family interaction, plus, I'm afraid I'd get hate for writing that.

Snow and Charming delighted in the sounds of their infant granddaughter's giggles as they gently pushed her to and fro on the swing. She was such a happy baby. Neal was happily playing with Philip Jr on the climbing frame. It was such a beautiful sunny day that the couple felt it would be criminal to keep the kids cooped up. So they bundled their son and granddaughter into the car with a picnic and had spent the day here. The only thing that could have made the day any better would have been the presence of Eira's parents; Emma and Killian. But when message had got to Storybrooke that another ogre war had started back home they volunteered to go as the royal presence to sort it out. Of course with Eira only being sixteen months old they didn't want to take her with them so asked that Snow and Charming watched her for them. Of course they agreed. They loved spending time with Eira. They were reluctant to let Emma and Killian go into the unknown, but the message had assured them that the war was just beginning and with a quick defence would be over within a fortnight. It had now been just over a week since Emma and Killian had left along with the dwarves to fight. So they were surprised to see Grumpy approaching them. Charming was the first to spot him. He stopped pushing Eira and looked over. Snow turned around to see what he was looking at and smiled. Did this mean the war was already over?

Charming took Eira out the swing and together he and Snow quickly covered the ground to meet their old friend at the gate of the playpark. They quickly embraced him, both failing to see the melancholy look on his face.

"Grumpy, it's so good to see you!" Snow announced. "Where are Killian and Emma? Did they go straight home? Should we meet them there?" Snow fired questions at him. Only then did they notice how reluctant Grumpy looked.

"Grumpy, what's wrong?" Charming asked him. "Is one of them hurt?" Grumpy didn't respond. "Grumpy!" Charming pressed him, beginning to worry.

"I-I don't know if they're hurt." Grumpy croaked. "The war ended yesterday, and Killian and Emma are missing."

"Missing?" Both Snow and Charming asked. Grumpy nodded.

"We can't find them anywhere. Not even a trace of them or their bodies…"

"Not their bodies." Snow croaked. "They're still alive. I know it." Grumpy just nodded, not wanting to tell her that the odds were unlikely. Charming placed his arm around Snow. This was a lot for them both to take in. They couldn't go to the Enchanted Forest to look for them. They had to take care of Neal and now Eira. But they couldn't just leave them there alone. What were they supposed to do?
