Chapter One
The snake did not run.
Diana cursed. Why didn't it run? She's played all her cards and it wouldn't budge. She smoothed her fingers out and sharpened her sword. It was only a dream and for some reason, she couldn't control it. Diana swung her katana at it, trying to perfect the moves Henri taught her. No such luck.
The snake bubbled and the blood on Diana's head seemed to moan with her. The snake grew out a tail and a cat's head. The boneless spine lurched upwards forming a curved backline. It was a lion. Diana screamed as it ran towards her.
She was jolted awake. Not by her dream but by a man.
"Get up child!" said the in-keeper. "A letter has arrived for you. Damn it, you S.O.A people shouldn't be allowed in here!".
Diana grunted and sat up. The in-keeper threw the letter at her and grumbled off. The leader was from her crew leader. It read:
Diana,
There's been a sighting of the son of Arthur.
Make it quick.
-Dereck
Diana smiled, finally, they gave her an assignment. She grabbed her work clothes and her katana. She changed as quickly as possible and clipped her katana to her belt. She pulled her hair in a bun and her cloak.
Her tight knitted clothes and purple pin averted the eyes of many. The S.O.A was the Special Ops Assemblage, which was formed by Queen Audrey after she assumed reign. They were made because of the terrorism the former King and Queen ensued. So it was the Queen's goal to wipe out any prince or princess from the states of Auradon.
Diana's team gathered to ensure the peace Queen Audrey promised. Though through the Queen's reign, people were losing their jobs and were stuck sleeping on the streets or the next best option: a tavern. Diana slept in the castle that all S.O.A lived in, but she had just gotten back from a party away from the castle and decided to spend the night at the tavern.
Nevertheless, Diana still enjoyed her pleasures as an agent. Queen Audrey treated her with care as if Diana was her daughter. Though Diana didn't even know who her parents were, she knew they were powerful, but that's it. Like she cared anyway. Who would leave their child on the streets during the war?
"He honey." Said a man on a cot. "What do you cost?".
Diana stopped. She could see his friends snickering. "What did you just say?" she growled.
The friends noticed her badge and paled. But the man made the mistake of not seeing her badge. "How much do ya cost?".
Diana brought her hand up and snapped her fingers ear-splittingly. The snap was thrown at the man and his head was thrown to the side and you could hear the slight crack of the bones cutting his life off. Blood dripped from his mouth and his body turned pale.
Diana flung a flower she grew from her hands on to him. It was her trademark. A flower's kill. Diana looked like one too. Golden eyes, roasted yellow hair, pale white skin, and soft hands that were capable of killing a beast.
"Scram," she told the friends. They did.
You see, Diana had power. She could control matter. This meant she could basically do anything. Queen Audrey taught her how to control it. The Queen was powerful, she taught Diana hand-to-hand combat. No matter anyone who stepped in her way, she felt as if she could really do anything.
Now, who's this son of Arthur she had to kill?
"Where are you Denis?" asked the son. He ran across the forest floor and tried to scare her behind the trees. No such luck. "Alright, I give up, come out now."
No response.
"Denise?" he yelled. "I give up!".
No one yelled back.
He began running, checking every nook and cranny his daughter could possibly fit into. Still nothing. He turned to the house, thinking that Denise hid in there but then he heard footsteps behind him. He whirled around.
His daughter stood in front of him wearing a cloak. Her back was turned on him and she was looking down.
"Denise?" he asked, taking a step forward. His feet raised again and she turned around. It wasn't Denise.
But the daughter of this man was held in the cloaked figure's arms. Her neck was definitely not in the correct position and her eyes were wide open. It looked as if she tried to scream but she didn't make it out in time.
"Denise!" the son of Arthur yelled, he wielded his sword and sprinted towards the cloaked figure.
She raised her arm and stopped him from reaching her. He was frozen in place. "Pitty, Denise, she looked like me, but- I'd not want her to become an orphan."
"You murderer!" he yelled.
She brandished her katana. "You really want to make those your last words?".
"Wait!" he screamed.
In a flash, the figure struck forward and stabbed him straight through the stomach. The sword plunged into his flesh and the son's face gasped for air. A twisted look of pain came about him and he closed his eyes. Not having the strength to close his mouth, he fell to the ground as Diana fell backward against a nearby tree, She gasped for air and clutched her stomach.
She used way too much energy.
She screamed and coughed. Her katana fell from her hands and she bit her lip. She lost energy every time she used too much power.
"Ungh," she groaned.
After five minutes of pain, Diana stood up. She grew roses from her hands and followed the gaze of the prince. He must've been young. She threw the rose onto his body and grabbed her sword. She clipped it to her belt and turned to the girl. She kneeled down and raised her fingers. They hovered over the tiny head,
"Death is better than my pain," she told the corpse. She brought her fingers down and closed the girl's eyes. "Sleep well."
Hello Readers!

As you might see, this is not rated K because of the violent scenes, so if you don't enjoy things like that, I wouldn't read it UwU
