Little Henry

A guest asked for a oneshot of Henry becoming deaged to a toddler and Emma jumping at the chance to take care of him.

Guest: That has already been written.

Mia: But weren't Cora and Regina not working with Hook at that point?

Sure, Emma had her false memories from Regina, but they felt hazy now. This was the real deal. Henry had been experimenting with potion making (unbeknown to anyone in his family) and had made a mistake and had a little accident. Regina had been the one to find him in her study. She had worked out what happened and quickly gave him an antidote that would kick in within a couple of days. Until then, luckily Regina still had a handful of Henry's old clothes that she just couldn't part with. She would love to spend more time with Henry when he was so little, but Regina knew she couldn't be selfish. So she brought him to Emma's home and explained the situation. Emma leaped at the chance to properly spend some time with Henry as a toddler. She quickly found out he was a little ball of energy with a wicked imagination.

"Watch out mama!" Henry yelled out. "Dragon!" Henry jumped in front of her with his wooden sword and brandished it, apparently attacking the beast. Emma watched him with a smile on her face. He was just so darn cute. He turned and beamed up at her.

"Got it." He promised her. "You're safe now." Emma picked up her little boy and smattered his face with kisses, delighting in his giggles.

"My hero." She told him. "My big brave boy." She then wrapped her arms around him snuggly and just relished in getting to hold her son. She wished dearly this wasn't a temporary situation, but no amount of wishing could change the truth. Time was ticking away until Henry would be a teenager again. It just didn't seem fair.
