Please don't kill me! I'm sorry for my absence (again). But I'll talk about that later. Please take this chapter as my humble apology.
It's been nearly ten years since Gregor's return to the Underland. A lot has happened. Gregor and Luxa had a few children, Ellis and Abby. Gregor needed a lot of convincing to NOT name Ellis Ares. Also, Gregor and Luxa dedicated their lives for Regalia and the technology from the surface was starting to show up in Regalia.
Right now, Ellis, was standing front of King Gregor's study. The room only he and Queen Luxa were allowed to go in.
In the middle of debating in his head on whether he should or should not enter, his sister, Abby, shows up next to Ellis and stands to his left. It took several moments for Ellis to register the presence of his sister, but when he did, wow, did he jump.
"I told you a million times! Don't do that!"
"Fine. What are you doing here?" Abby asked.
"Well… I was just… uhh… admiring this door!" Said the totally not suspicious Ellis.
"Okaaaaay." Abby was not buying it.
"Fine. I want to get in there. Don't you want to know what is behind this door?"
"It's not like I don't… but you literally can't get in."
"What do you mean?" Asked a confused Ellis.
"I tried sneaking in when everyone was asleep. But I couldn't. The door must be stuck, locked or both."
While the two kids were talking, a certain King showed up around the corner.
"You two just won't give up, will you?"
Both kids stared at their father, walking towards them with a warm smile. The two were simply too embarrassed to answer.
"I was planning to show you when you would be older, but I guess there is no harm in showing you now."
Gregor took a small key and unlocked the door. He tried to open it, but the door wouldn't budge.
"I guess it really is stuck?" Laughed Gregor.
After some more pulling and pushing, Gregor took a step back.
"Kids, you might want to step back as well." The two children listened to their dad's advice. As soon as the way was clear, Gregor kicked the door so hard, it shattered.
"That will need replacement." Joked Gregor.
The trio walked in and the siblings gasped at the walls with books and weird tools.
"Now, children, take a seat. I want to tell you a story." Gregor waited for a few moments until the two kids went on the old sofa at the end of the room. "You probably know that I wasn't born here, in Regalia." The two siblings nodded." I already told you half the story a few months ago. You know that after I discovered this place I was forced to leave for some time, right?" They nodded again.
"So the story of my return to the Underland starts a few days after my eighteenth birthday….
This is way to short and does not do enough justice to this story, but I barley found the motivation to write this. I'm sorry for what I'm about to do next, but I'm discontinuing my other stories on the Underland Chronicles. I'm sorry, but I don't have enough time and motivation. I might come back in June.
I hope you all have a good day and I want to thank you all for the support and kind comments. Goodbye, for now.
