Suffocating
A guest asked for a oneshot of *minor season 6 spoilers* the Charming family dealing with 'a lot of issues' (prompted by season 6 interviews).
Important: If you have requested something recently and I haven't responded in any way, could you let me know? It seems, upon checking my reviews, that I haven't been getting emails for all my requests.
"Five minutes." Emma sighed, standing against the door as though hoping that would prevent her parents coming back. "That's all I want."
"I know love." Killian said, holding out his arms for her. Emma slumped over and collapsed into them. She was still tense, however, she knew her parents would be back any moment. They were just calling Regina to check that her and Henry were safe from the latest threat. Emma loved her family dearly, and she knew that as the Saviour she had a lot of responsibilities that she didn't want to shy away from, but she also wanted to be Emma. She wanted to have five minutes alone with Killian. Well, perhaps thirty…but they just seemed destined to forever be interrupted. Emma loved her parents, but right now they were coming in every five minutes it seemed. They weren't so much as knocking most of the time. "They mean well." Killian reminded her, kissing the side of her head. Emma grunted. She knew that they did, but it didn't stop her feeling suffocated.
Right on cue, Emma and Killian heard footsteps approaching the front door again. Killian loosened his arms so Emma could wriggle out and avoid any awkwardness in front of her parents.
"They're both fine." Snow announced, strolling into the room with Neal in her arms. "It was just a little one this time."
"I know they're both fine. I told you that before you went out to call. Before you arrived here after it happened I had texted Henry."
"Well it doesn't hurt to double check." Charming pointed out, sitting down beside Snow. Emma had to bite her lip pretty hard to stop herself disagreeing with that statement. "So what's the plan for the day? Any areas we need to check on? Should we split up?"
"That's a great idea." Emma said, jumping at her opportunity, however small it was. "Why don't you and mom check on Main Street, Killian and I will go check that nobody's lost at sea or anything." Out of the corner of her eye, Emma saw Killian smile slightly. He knew why she suggested they go near the dock. He had a ship there they could use for a few hours.
"We passed the docks on the way here. Emma, you're better going with your dad to check the station to make sure nobody's escaped. Killian and I will check Main Street." Snow suggested.
"Ok." Emma said, her face falling. She got up. If she was going to do this, she was going to be as quick as possible. "Let's get going dad." Emma said gruffly. Charming gave Snow a quick look as he got up. Was something up with Emma? Surely not. Nobody was likely to get hurt. Maybe she had just gotten up on the wrong side of the bed.
