EVERYTHING PASSED BY like a blur for Juliette, after she threw up she vaguely remembered Bill and Sam showing up, but at the time the feeling of claustrophobia had set in and all she could think about was the need to get out of the house.
She remembers herself stumbling out of the house, her erratic heartbeat and shallow breaths being the only thing she could hear. She also remembers Sam trying to place a comforting hand on her shoulder, only for her to roughly shrug it away.
The cops arrived and that part was also mostly a blur for Juliette but the one thing she could remember was Bud Dearborne and Andy Bellefleur approaching her to ask a few questions, and the vague recollection of her telling them to 'fuck off'.
When Juliette finally managed to collect herself and her emotions everyone had thankfully left, excluding Sookie and Sam who had made their way back inside the house to clean up.
Straightening her shoulders, clenching her jaw so the pair would see the slight wobble to her chin, Juliette stiffly made her way back inside the house.
Sookie had already begun cleaning and for a few moments, Juliette just stood there taking in all the blood, her grandmother's blood, before finally kneeling beside her sister.
Juliette grabbed her sisters shaking hands, making the younger girl freeze and look up at her older sister.
"Go, I'll take care of this," Juliette states her voice soft and controlled.
"Jules—" Sookie tries to protest but Juliette just shakes her head.
"You need sleep, I'll be fine, now go" Juliette orders, before looking behind her to where Sam had approached, "Make sure she gets some rest," The order almost seemed hollow to Sam's ears and Sam shot the older Stackhouse a worried look but no more words were said by the blonde, her gaze meeting Sam's evenly till eventually, he conceded to her request.
After Sookie was gently ushered upstairs by Sam, Juliette allows her shoulders to slump for a brief second before once again straightening them, so she could start cleaning away the blood.
There was so much blood, and the more she wiped the more the crimson liquid spread, and the more flashes of her grandmother's bloodied corpse, her dead blank eyes, invaded Juliette's head till finally the floodgates burst, the fragile hold the blonde had on her emotions shattered.
A sob tore through Juliette's throat as she roughly chucked the cloth away, her back hitting the wall behind her with a thud as she leaned her weight against it, curling her knees towards her shaking body, the tears finally fall from her eyes.
Juliette, unlike Sookie, had forgotten to wear gloves. Her hands were stained with her grandmother's blood but the blonde either didn't notice or didn't care as she moved her hands to cover her mouth in order to muffle her sobs, so Sookie and Sam wouldn't hear.
Juliette didn't know how long she sat there curled up sobbing but slowly the tears came to a stop, with a small sniffle Juliette wiped her tears, no doubt spreading more blood on her face but with a determined glint to her eyes she got up and grabbed the cloth and after what seemed like hours of rigorous scrubbing, Juliette cleaned off any traces of blood in the kitchen excluding the amount that had gotten onto herself.
After putting everything away, Juliette started making her way upstairs, where she saw Sam, from the look of horror on his face she knew she looked terrible but she just ignored him as she continued her way to the bathroom to wash off the blood.
After turning on the water, Juliette balled up her bloodied clothes to throw away later and stepped into the shower. The water was scathing hot but she welcomed the heat, it turned pink due to the blood but Juliette just ignored it as she once again breaks down into tears.
She spent the remainder of the night succumbing to her emotions, till she had no more tears to cry and the next day when Sookie saw her sister, the only indication that showed what happened to their grandmother affected Juliette was the deep dark circles underneath her eyes from the lack of sleep she had gotten.
Juliette had made sure to remove any traces of that she had been crying, and locked her emotions into a iron tight grip, not wanting anyone, especially the vultures in her home to see her weak.
If it weren't for Tara and Lafayette, who were thankfully taking care of everything, Juliette was sure she would have already kicked everyone out, especially with the thoughts circling through their heads.
Most of the occupants avoided Juliette, and those who were brave enough to approach her were rewarded with a bone-chilling glare that had them scampering off. Juliette didn't want their pity or their empty words, what she wanted at the moment was her twin but he wasn't picking up his phone.
However, it seemed Sookie had finally had enough of the people as she exploded on Maxine Fortenberry for touching Adele's pie.
Juliette immediately was by her sisters shaking side along with Tara and the pair gently led Sookie upstairs with Lafayette following behind the three.
"I shouldn't have lost it like that," Sookie admits quietly after they were all situated in the younger blondes room.
"Bitch deserved it," Juliette snorts but it didn't contain her usual humor instead her words sounded dead and empty, lacking any real emotion.
Tara nods in agreement, "Don't you feel sorry for yelling at that snoopy old bitch, she's been sticking her nose where it don't belong for years."
"Say it, I mean if she talked anymore shit, she'd be shaped like a turd," Lafayette adds and both he and Tara laugh but Sookie and Juliette don't, both still too caught up in their grief.
"Gran's gone," Sookie states, "She's really gone."
Juliette wraps an arm around her sister, nodding, "She is," Juliette affirms shakily, the first amount of emotion any of them had seen come from the blonde today.
"I don't know what I'm supposed to do," Sookie continues, "I can't even think straight."
This time it was Tara who spoke up, "Well, of course, you can't, how can either of you, with all those circling buzzards," Lafayette lets out a hum in agreement as Tara continues, "You two aren't their entertainment, you don't have to dance for 'em, you just gotta feel whatever you're feeling."
Tears spring up into Juliette's eyes but she blinks them back, not being able to form any words she grabs Tara's hand and gives it a grateful squeeze, Tara returns it before she turns back to Sookie who once again starts speaking.
"I'm not sure...I'm feeling anything," The younger blonde admits, "I'm just numb."
Tara just nods, "Numb is good, numb is probably what you need right now," Tara assures, "Stop worry about being so damn appropriate, this is not an appropriate event."
Lafayette eventually leaves and the three girls continue lounging in Sookie's room, neither of the Stackhouse sisters wanting to face the flying buzzards downstairs.
Juliette itched for a drink but her concern and care for watching over her sister outweighed any of her selfish desires to forget the world in alcohol.
The door suddenly banged open, breaking any semblance of peace that had begun forming between the three girls and Juliette turned to see Jason storm in, instinctively Juliette placed herself in front of her younger sister when she saw how angry her twin was and that also meant she had accidentally received the slap that was meant for Sookie.
Juliette's face snapped to the side, her fair skin turning a light shade of pink from where she was hit. At first, Juliette didn't move, still in shock that Jason had done what he did but slowly she turned to look back at her brother who looked horrified when he realized who he actually hit.
"What the fuck!" Tara yelled pushing him back.
That was enough to drag Jason's attention back towards Sookie, "It's your fault! Gran's dead because of you!" He yells, "It should have been you!" He tries to charge at Sookie but Juliette had snapped out of her shock and once again placed herself protectively in front of her little sister.
Juliette, having enough of everything that transpired in the last twenty-four hours feels her anger finally spike.
When she spoke, she was tone is hushed, but the single word it held a foreboding firmness, filled with a promise of cold fury to anyone who dared to disagree, "Enough."
That single word managed to freeze everyone in their spot, their eyes all darting to eerily still blonde.
Jason was the first to move and he took a step forward holding out his arm "Jules..."
Her hand shot out and tightly grabbed onto his arm, nails digging into his skin, and without a single word, she dragged him out of the room and down the stairs. The occupants in the house went silent as they're eyes watching curiously as the Jason was dragged behind Juliette.
The ones misfortunate enough to meet Juliette's eyes physically shivered from the iciness they held, but as a quick as the twins came they were gone.
Juliette had planned to take Jason as far as the edge of the woods so there would be no ears to listen in on them talk but the pair were cut off by Andy.
"Stackhouse? I need to ask you a few questions," Andy states his eyes firmly planted on Jason.
"Not now Andy," Juliette all but growls out but before they could walk past him, he places a hand on Jason's chest lightly pushing him back which forced Juliette to stop as well.
"Where were you last night?" Andy questioned.
"I don't know, I was with a girl," Jason answers shrugging.
"Tara Thornton?" Andy asks but Jason shakes his head, "Yeah, I didn't think so, what's this one's name?"
Juliette grew tenser by the second but she forced herself to keep quiet hoping Andy would end his pathetic interrogation soon.
"I don't remember her name, okay?" Jason says shakily, the adrenaline he was feeling slowly wearing down, "Uh, I got a number, I don't know what I did with it though."
"Why, ain't that convenient?" Andy scoffs.
Juliette surges forward pushing her brother behind her as she glares up into Andy's eyes.
"Like I said last night, why don't you fuck off," She snarls, slightly baring her teeth in anger.
The fear in Andy's eyes was evident, and Juliette could see the internal battle waging within them but finally, it seemed the need to further his career won out against the fear.
"Stay out of this, Juliette," Andy states gruffly puffing out his chest in an attempt to show that he wasn't scared of her, "It's awfully convenient ain't it?"
Jason's face darkens, "What the hell is that supposed to mean, Andy?" Jason demands, the muscles underneath Juliette's grip on Jason's arm tensed.
"It's Detective Bellefleur," He corrects, "and what the fuck do you think it means?"
"Are you saying I killed my grandmother?" Jason growls out, ripping his arm away from Juliette's hold to push Andy back, only to send him flying into his truck.
Juliette grabs Jason's arm again and spins him around so she could look at him, "What the fuck is wrong with you?" Juliette quietly demands.
"N-nothing," He stutters out avoiding her eyes.
Oh god, she's going to find out, she's going to find out I've been taking V
Jason knew the second he fucked up as his sister stiffens, her blue eyes turning into glaciers, any warmth for him disappearing in an instant.
"Jules..." Jason takes a pleading step forward but her glare stops him in place.
"Get the fuck out of my sight," Her words were quiet just above a whisper but they were hard as steel.
Jason's eyes filled with hurt but he was met with the same cold fury he saw back in Sookie's room and after taking a glance at the audience that gathered on the porch he runs into his truck and speeds off.
"See! I'm telling you, you're brother ain't stable!" Andy yells getting up from the ground.
Juliette who was turning back to the house whips back around, her fist colliding with Andy's cheek, once again sending him to the ground.
"As for you Detective Bellefleur, get the fuck off my property," She sneers before walking back towards the house.
Ignoring the stares, Juliette makes her way into the kitchen and opens one of the cupboards where she knows she left a bottle of whiskey and grabs it, also making her way to the freezer to grab a bag of frozen peas before storming up to her room, she slammed the door behind her so hard the walls shook.
Letting out a slight hiss in pain from where she placed the frozen bag on her bruising knuckles, from there she just drank until she passed out from both drinking and exhaustion.
