The vermilion bird rushed in the nocturnal blue, spreading her majestic wings. On her back, a brunette was sitting, holding the neck of the avian creature tightly. Clouds were ashamed to see their speed, hovering around them shyly though their density was lost in the depth of the dark evening of February. Even before the glaze of sun glossing in the body of the mighty phoenix of the south, the moon was feeling embarrassed to come out, tearing the barrier of the steams. Everything was looking like ants to the chocolate-haired girl. Nonetheless, she wasn't scared. She knew that Dranzer would surely protect her from everything. After all, she was a favorite to her master and all the favorite things and persons of her master held a dear place in the heart of the phoenix too.

Soon, the talons of the bird grasped the grass of a cliff as she landed there. The peak was sole, lonely-just like a lone wolf. Quickly, Hilary got down and as a surprise, got to see the back of her dual-haired boyfriend. He was facing the sky, the edges of his white scarf were dancing in the airstream. Without looking at them, when he nodded, Dranzer took the order and flew away from the place. Once the bird was gone, the Russian rotated and smirked at the brunette. Hilary was nervous and flustered at the same time. Why did he call her on the hilltop suddenly?

Taking a few steps, surprisingly, the guy who had even never lowered his eyes before anyone, knelt down in front of her. Not giving her a chance to react, he popped out a square velvet box from the pocket of his jeans, opened it as it disclosed the sight of a shining diamond ring, studded with a precious amethyst. The ears of the brunette became bewitched as the received those four divinest, purest of all words in this world:

"Will you marry me?"

She was awestruck, dazed, hit with arrows-so befuddled that she couldn't even cover her mouth with her palms. Tears ran from her rose orbs, she forgot how to wipe them. Noticing it and taking her silence as her consent, Kai himself stood up and wiped her tears, capturing the ring finger of her left hand in that amethyst-studded ring and her heart in his, forever. She didn't know; she couldn't decide whether she should cry or smile. Streams of saline waterworks again flowed through her cheeks, he didn't interrupt this time, only pouring his mauve wine in her crimson.

"But…" She softly whispered, "Why an amethyst?"

"So that you can feel that I'm looking only at you all the time," He replied, "Whenever you'll take a look at this ring."

That was flattering. Giggling, she lowered her face. The phoenix was flying above their heads, her warm, tender, scarlet feathers were raining upon them, congratulating them. Stars were appearing one by one, trying to flash brighter than the ring. All the lights, flames shone, enlightening her night. He gently picked her up in a bridal style, she garlanded his neck with her arms. He was descending the peak; the hill, the sky-everything was feeling magical to her.

She would never forget it. Nor would he.

Ahem...how was it? I have written almost all the romance places for KaiHil: In snowfall, in rain, in a moonlit night but a hilltop never came in my mind. So, here it goes.

Dear Chiya, I hope you've liked it :P
