"Splash!"

The couple rose from the cerulean water of the lake where the sunshine was checking its image. His arms were around her petite, fair, disclosed waist. Her hands were imprisoning his neck. Rubies were glued to amethysts. Droplets of water were clinging to their skin which wasn't covered by their swimsuits, trickling one by one. When the rays of the sun were seeping on them, they felt as if they'd bathed in melted gold. Her head wheeled automatically, drenched chocolate locks blew and brushed his wet face in a dramatic way. He felt annoyed a bit but she enjoyed it, thus, giggling.

"This is your punishment for giving me a treasury," Her eyes danced, "Specially when I asked you only for a diamond."

"Hn…" Kai looked at the shore. The lake was a silent one, devoid of much crowd and noise. By its side, the hills were growing high, sapphire cascades flowing from their peaks towards the earth. The edge was sandy, glimmering like a desert in sunshine. For a last few days, his girlfriend had been wanting to go for swimming. But the general swimming pools weren't really his type, frankly speaking. That's why, he decided to bring her to a silent, a tranquil environment. Of course, the brunette was enjoying here. But why was she denying the truth?

"Okay…let's go then…" The phoenix-prince stood up and reached the shore, not looking back. Hilary's eyes went widened at the straightforward action of her boyfriend. Rubbing them twice, when she discovered that Kai Hiwatari was really upset, she also quickly stepped on the beach and ran behind him who was walking through the dense trees, crossing his arms on his chest as usual.

"Damn, Hiwatari," She grouched, "I was only kidding."

"I don't like kidding." Reply came.

Sighing, the girl slapped on her own forehead. Sometimes, Kai used to have mood swings like her too. She herself even didn't know why.

"Okie…" She stretched her hands up, "I give up. Now tell me, how to lighten the mood of the great Kai Hiwatari?"

At this question, the dual-haired Russian confusedly stared at his girlfriend for a while. Then, clearing his throat and looking here and there, he spoke, "A hug."

"What?" Hilary felt like almost falling from the sky, "A…hug?"

"Hn." He nodded with closed eyes. His expressions were saying that he was serious about this matter. Hilary chuckled, noticing his antique. Who in the world ever knew that even the sourpuss, acid-tongue Kai Hiwatari could need a hug sometimes? That even from her?

Checking whether they were being watched or not though they weren't noticeable in the deep forest, she quickly threw herself in his arms like a chirpy bird and embraced his well-toned, beefy physic in her soft hands. As her ears got closer to his heart, along with listening to the most euphonious music in this world, she felt his fingers patting her back, waist and shoulder. It was gentle, warm, protective.

Did they need a dryer to dry themselves even after it?

So...how was it? Good or bad? The next chapter will be the last and I'll publish a separate one-shot for Valentine's day :P

Dear Munia, hope you've liked it. Readers, do read and review. Pardon the grammatical and spelling errors. Take care and stay safe :D
