Sleep right through- part 2

A guestasked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2060 "Sleep right through" where, hours later, Snowing wake up and find everyone gone. They ask Blue to transport them to the Underworld, but she cannot. A day later, they get a call from Emma who says she is sorry, but she did what she had to do. Her parents are still mad, but tell her to make sure she comes home safe.

Charming began to feel the world coming back to him, his head still feeding cloudy. He groaned, trying to remember what had happened.

"Charming." He heard Snow gasp beside him. "Thank goodness you're awake. I was worried you just weren't going to wake up…" For a moment, Charming was still confused. Why wouldn't he wake up? Then it hit him. He began to remember why he felt so groggy.

"Emma." Charming mumbled, still feeling foggy. "Emma did this."

"What?" Snow asked as Charming got out of the bed. "Why would she do this to us?"

"Because she didn't want us going to the Underworld." Charming told her. "She did this so she and the others could slip away without us being involved. She did it to stop us getting hurt, and to make sure Neal didn't lose his parents." Snow couldn't believe what she was hearing. Emma had tricked them? Both knew Emma had done what she thought was right, but that didn't stop them being mad at her. She had gone and put herself in a very dangerous situation without either of them there to look out for her.

"We need to go to Blue." Snow said. "We can check on Neal, and we can see if the fairies have the power to send us down there." Charming nodded in agreement as he and Snow quickly got changed. They didn't want Emma down there alone for a moment longer than she had to.

But not Blue, or any of the other fairies, were able to help the desperate parents. Not even their magic extended that far. So Snow and Charming were at a loss for what to do. Sleeping and eating now seemed impossible. They were having to try and act normal for Neal's sake, but how could they when they didn't so much as know if their daughter was alive?

The day after was rough on both Snow and Charming. It still hadn't sunk in that they had no idea when they would see Emma again. If they ever saw Emma again. So it was quite the shock when they suddenly heard her voice ring loud and clear in the apartment.

"Hello, is anyone there?" Snow and Charming both suddenly looked right around them.

"Emma!" They both called out. "Emma, where are you?" Charming asked.

"I'm not there guys." Emma said. Snow and Charming were both confused and disappointed. How could they here her if she wasn't there? "I'm still in the Underworld. There's a phone thing I can use to get in contact with you. I just wanted you to know I'm ok…"

"Ok? Emma, you're in the Underworld! That does not constitute ok!" Snow said. "How could you do this to us? Do you know how scared we've been? We woke up and you were gone! I didn't even know it was you who had made us sleep. Until your dad woke up and told me for all I knew someone had taken you!"

"Your mom's right, Emma. It was our decision to make. Not yours." Charming added, disappointed in Emma's actions. Emma understood why her parents were mad, she would be too if it were Henry who had done this.

"I know you guys are mad, and I get that, but I did what I had to do. I did what was best for you and Neal. I couldn't be selfish and just think of me. I'm sorry I was so sneaky about it, but I can't say I'm sorry for doing it." Snow and Charming looked at each other. They wished their daughter wasn't so darn stubborn, but what could they do about it now?

"Emma." Snow said seriously. "We're still not happy that you chose this way to deal with things, but what's done is done. What's important now is that you come home safe."

"Completely safe. Not a scratch on you." Charming added. "Don't make any unnecessary risks. None. You hear?"

"I hear." Emma responded with a slight laugh. "I have to go now guys. I'll call again when I can. I love you."

"We love you too." Snow and Charming replied together. It then became clear that the connection Emma had with them was lost. Snow and Charming then looked at each other, not sure if they felt better or worse for hearing her voice. They just wanted her home.
