Snow should have known that the Evil Queen would have more of a vendetta against her than she let on. When she first found out that Regina's other half was still alive, Snow's first thought was of course that she would come after Snow and her family. But when they had first come into contact with her and it appeared the Evil Queen had more of a problem with Regina than Snow, so they had let their guard down. Snow could have kicked herself for not keeping a closer eye on the Evil Queen, because she had been so very wrong. She had been using Regina as a red herring to keep Snow from watching her back. Now here she and Charming were, under the captivity of not just the Evil Queen, but Hyde as well. It appeared the Evil Queen had decided that the enemy of her enemy was her friend. There was no exit, they were trapped.

"What do you want?" Snow growled to the two villains. The Evil Queen laughed darkly.

"Well isn't obvious, Snow White? I want to make you suffer." Snow kept a straight face. She refused to let the Evil Queen know she was scared. She stepped forward in front of Charming.

"Snow." He said, terrified. He tried to pull her back, but she wouldn't go.

"Well, you finally win. Here I am. Get it over with." Snow of course did not want to die. She didn't want to leave her Charming. She didn't want to leave her children or her grandson. But if she had to sacrifice herself to save them, then so be it. The Evil Queen smirked as she stepped forward towards Snow.

"Oh but Snow dear, you think killing you will make you suffer? No. That would be far too easy. You will be the last to die. First, I will kill your precious Charming so you can feel my pain. Then I will find your darling children and they too will be snuffed out before then, and only then, will I take your life." Snow's eyes darkened.

"You're not touching my family." She growled. She tried to wrap her arms around the Evil Queen's throat, but Hyde stopped her. Regina then used to her magic to pin Charming to the wall. He gave out a gargled cry as the Evil Queen began to steal the air from his lungs.

"Charming!" Snow called out. She struggled against Hyde's hold, but he was too strong. But Charming wasn't going to give up on his family so easily. The Evil Queen had just threatened his family too, after all. After years of such battles with her, Charming had gained the strength needed to fight off her magical hold. When he was free, Charming scrambled off the floor and over to the Evil Queen. She was so stunned at her magic being bested that he was able to get the upper hand and pin her to the wall with his grasp.

"Drop this enchantment and the pair of you get out." Charming said through gritted teeth. The Evil Queen wasn't even fighting back. She just laughed again.

"I don't think so." She said calmly. "You might want to at least try and live up to your name, Prince Charming. Or do you regularly let other men strangle your wife?" Keeping the Evil Queen pinned to the wall, Charming turned his head to see that Hyde had his hand around Snow's throat. He was grinning darkly at him as he choked the life out of his wife.

"Snow!" Charming called out. He dropped the Evil Queen and rushed to her aid. He speared Hyde, forcing him to drop Snow. But before he could get a good punch in, the Evil Queen forced him off Hyde and onto his back on the ground. Hyde used the moment to restrain Charming. Charming was still trying to work out what was going on and how to get him and Snow out of the situation when Hyde leaned down beside his ear.

"Good night, sheriff." He hissed. Next thing Charming knew, he was feeling a heavy, dull thud against his temple. Then everything went dark.

"He's waking up." Charming could hear Snow speaking. He could feel a soft surface beneath his back and a warmth surrounding him. He opened his eyes to find himself in his own bed with Snow looking down on him, relieved. She smiled down at him.

"Welcome back." She said gently before lightly pressing her lips to his, resting her hand on his cheek. Charming looked to the foot of the bed and saw Emma standing, watching them apprehensively.

"What happened?" Charming asked groggily, rubbing his thumping head. "How did we get out of there?"

"I found you both with a tracking spell." Emma explained. "Mom said it wasn't long after Hyde knocked you out. They weren't expecting me so I was able to drive them off with some help from mom. But if wasn't for you, Hyde could have killed her. They both got away before I could stop them." Charming could hear the bitter undertones in her voice. She was disappointed in herself for not catching them.

"Hey." Snow called over to her. "We went through this. This isn't your fault Emma. The Evil Queen and Hyde made it pretty clear they were after you and Neal as well anyway. I'm sure your dad will agree with me that we don't want you going after them alone."

"Agreed." Charming said straight away from the bed. "We will stop the Evil Queen, and Hyde, but we'll do it together." Emma nodded, but it was clear she was still pissed with herself. But Snow and Charming had every faith they could do this, as long as they worked together.
