Paul sits up in bed showing off his perfectly toned body, he tiredly stretches and lays his head back down on the pillow. His arms wrap around my waist pulling me in closer to him.

I grab my phone from the nightstand beside me and check the time, 11am. I sit up in bed moving from Paul's warm embrace.

"Paul?"

"Hm?"

"I have to get home, I have work in two hours" A half smile plays on my lips, Paul sits up in bed and throws on a t-shirt and a pair of jean shorts.

He turns to me and smirks as he hands me my jeans and underwear, my cheeks feel warm remembering our intimate moment last night.

"Paul!" I squeak in embarrassment as I quickly slip on my underwear and jeans. Paul chuckles lowly and smirks.

"You look delicious by the way, you taste delicious as well" He murmurs. If my cheeks weren't red a moment ago- they are definitely red now, this kind of talk is foreign to me. I had dated in high school- yes but I had never done anything like I have done with Paul before. But the difference is- I trust Paul.

We make our way to the kitchen and he turns on his coffee machine, the smell of freshly made coffee fills the house.

There is a knock at the front door and Paul goes to open it, a woman with copper skin and raven dark hair smiles happily at the door way.

"Paul! How are you?!" The woman wraps her arms around Paul and he hugs her back awkwardly.

As she hugs him her eyes open and land on me, her eyes light up and she breaks away from her hug with Paul.

"Oh my goodness, you're gorgeous! Hello lovely, I'm Paul's mother Elena"

"It's nice to meet you, I'm Willow" I reply shyly. Elena gives me a sweet smile as she turns to face Paul again, "So it's true! You do have a girlfriend"

"Mom what are you-" Paul begins.

"I dropped into town this morning and your father told me where you were living" She looks around the kitchen area and the dinning room, "Wow, it's a nice place you have here"

Paul scratches the back of his head and gives me a apologetic smile, I hide a giggle as I sit back quietly not wanting to interfere.

"How have things been? Your father seems like he's doing well for himself" She says as she sits on the sofa in the living room, Paul stands between the kitchen and the living room.

"Yeah, he's fine. Things have been good- Willow and I were actually just about to leave, I have to take her home" Paul states in a smooth tone, his mom smiles at me and nods understandingly as she stands up from the sofa.

"I don't want to make you late then, it was lovely meeting you Willow. Call your mother sometime, Paul" She says placing a kiss on his cheek, I cover my mouth to hide a giggle. "I'll see you later!"

The front door closes graciously and Paul turns to me with widened eyes of embarrassment.

"That was embarrassing" He mumbled and shakes his head as he pulls two mugs from the cupboard and fills them with coffee.

"I thought she was very sweet" I reply truthfully- Paul hands me my coffee and I sip it.

"You have no idea, I love my mom but she can be a little overbearing sometimes"

"I think it's nice that she came to see you"

Paul sips his coffee. "Yeah, I know, at least you got to meet her" He gives me a honeyed smile as we finish the rest of our coffee.

The drive to my apartment is quick and I thank Paul for driving me home.

I open my apartment door and take a shower before throwing on my work clothes and grabbing my car keys as I drive to work.

Jessie isn't at my shift this morning but I assume she called in sick or has plans today. My shift goes by quicker than I had expected it to and before long I'm clocking out from work.

I drive back to my apartment and change out of my work clothes. My phone chimes and I pick it up to see who's texted me.

See you tomorrow! - Mom

A smile spreads across my face and I type back.

You got a plane ticket! I'll pick you up from the airport, I finally have my own car now

It says my flight will land at 10 am, I can't wait to see your car! Love you. - Mom

Love you too, mom

My alarm clock goes off around eight am and I wake up with a quick shower, coffee—of course, and a good morning text from Paul.

Morning Willow, I hope you have a great day. Call me later

I text Paul back letting him know I will call him and that I miss him, after having a pop tart I get in my car and drive to the airport.

The airport is busy but not overwhelmingly crowded, I get out of my car and walk to the entrance only to be greeted by a pair of arms wrapped around my neck, my mom.

"Willow!" She exclaims happily, fresh tears streaming down her cheeks and a smile spread across her face. My eyes almost betray me but I manage to blink away my tears as I hug her back.

"I missed you, look at you! You're as beautiful as ever. Now, which one is your car?" She asks me as she grabs her one suitcase with wheels and pulls it behind her.

I point to the Toyota Camry as we walk to it and she smiles as if she's remembering a fond memory.

"Just like your father"

"I knew I had to have it, it was perfect" I reply.

We get in my car and I begin driving away from the airport. My mom and I make small talk about Forks and she asks if the town has changed much since she moved away- I tell her it's almost the same.

"How is Layla doing? She called me and told me you stopped by to see her" My mom asks me as she looks out from the car window.

"She's good, yeah I visited with her a few weeks ago. Quil's doing really well too" I answer her.

I pull into my apartment complex and help my mom get her suitcase out of the car, the rain begins to drizzle lightly and we make our way inside my apartment.

"Wow! You've done good for yourself, I like the apartment and I like the way you've decorated it" My mom compliments as she sits down on the sofa.

I go to the kitchen and get her a glass of iced water as I hand it to her and smile, "Thanks, I really like it too"

"So, are you seeing anyone? A boy? A girl?" My mom smiles and sips her water.

"Mom!" A small laugh leaves my lips.

"What? A mother can't talk relationships with her daughter?" She begins, I rub my temples and shake my head.

"No, I mean, it's not that. Yes, I am seeing someone. He is amazing." I take a sip of my water and smile to myself thinking about Paul— The memories of last night bring a warm feeling to my cheeks and I push the thoughts aside.

"What's his name? How did you meet?!" My mom sits up straight now with a grin on her face, she looks like a school girl hearing gossip.

"His name is Paul, we met at the diner. He's a friend of Quil's" My voice is musical and I feel warm inside just hearing myself talk about him.

"That's wonderful. When do I get to meet him?" My mom asks me with excitement in her eyes.

"I'm not sure, probably in a few days. He's around" I smile.

"Well as long as he treats you right, I'm very happy for you" She says, "You know- Your father..." She begins hesitantly, I feel my eyes grow a bit wide and I deeply inhale unsure of how to respond. My mom shakes her head and smiles to herself softly, "Never mind, sweetie"

After dinner, my mom insists on washing the dishes for me so I give in after five minutes of her being persistent on doing so.

"Will you be able to drive me to my hotel?" My mom asks me catching me off guard— I had assumed she would stay at my apartment.

"You aren't going to stay here?" I ask her softly feeling slightly bummed out.

"Oh sweetie," She begins "I would love to but I know if Paul were to stay the night with you, it might be awkward with me here if you two decide to-"

"Mom!"

"What? Its completely normally to have intercourse in relationships. Plus this way I have my own bed, you know I can't sleep on those air mattresses"

She says as she fluffs her curly dark hair. My mother has always been the more girly one out of the two of us— I was never into wearing dresses as a child but I'm not a big tomboy, however if it was up to my mom she would wear dresses and kitten heels every single day.

After driving my mom to her hotel and making sure she has everything she brought with her, I get back in my car and begin to drive back to my apartment.

I remember that Paul has asked me to call him, I pick up my phone and begin to call him— Two rings and he answers.

"Hey Willow" I love the way my name sounds coming from his mouth, it makes me smile.

"Hey! I just dropped my mom off at her hotel. What's up?" I'm feeling really chipper today, I know I'm excited my mom is finally here.

"Can I see you?" Paul asks me in a velvety voice, I smile at his words.

"Of course- Should I come over? I'm already driving"

"Yeah, I'll be here at my place"

Paul and I end our phone call and I begin driving over to his house.

After a knock on the front door Paul opens it and grins showing a perfect smile, he pulls me in for a warm and tight embrace, we walk inside and he places a kiss on my lips.

"So you said your mom is here in Forks?" Paul asks me as we take a seat on his sofa.

"Yeah, she just got here today. She insisted on staying at a hotel" I say softly, Paul listens carefully.

"She didn't want to stay with you?"

"She knows about us, so she- wanted to give us alone time" My eyes travel downward to my hands and I smile sheepishly.

"Us?" Paul says with a glimmer in his eyes, "You told her we're together?"

"We are, aren't we?"

My heart thumps at a quick pace nervously, I hope I haven't just made a mess of things.

"Of course we are, I just wanted to ask you to be my girlfriend more... sentimentally" He smiles to himself as he takes my hand.

"What did you have in mind?" I ask curiously but he doesn't answer. Paul stands up from the couch, he takes my hand and smiles.

"Let's go for a drive" He says as he grabs he keys and slips on his shoes.

"Oh, okay" I smile as I follow behind him to his car.
