My heart was thundering inside my chest. I was out of breath and feeling a painful ache in my side. But I was determined to get to Nyarlathotep before he killed anyone else. By the time I reached the South Park Shopping Mall, I could see more piles of wrecked cars, followed by the sight of people running out of the trashed mall while stealing items from the stores within. Nothing but chaos and disorder… The only way I was going to stop it was to defeat Nyarlathotep.

As Nyarlathotep landed on the ground again, I immediately moved in to attack. I don't know if I was doing any damage to this Outer God or not but I had to try anything to stop Nyarlathotep's destruction. Once again, I boldly stood in Nyarlathotep's way to stop him from reaching the mall. His burning three-lobed eye glared down at me. I reared back my fist, ready to fire another Eldritch Blast, but Nyarlathotep was smart. To my dismay, the Outer God cleverly used his bat-wings to cover his eye.

"Shit!" I growled in frustration.

Nyarlathotep shielded his three-lobed eye with its bat wings. One of his slimy tentacles wrapped around a nearby lamppost and easily plucked it out of the ground. Now I had to retreat as the eldritch creature tried swatting me like an insect with the lamppost. As I ran toward the pile of cars for cover, Nyarlathotep continued to pursue me relentlessly. Before I could think of what to do now, suddenly Nyarlathotep let out a pained squeal that stopped him in his tracks. When I spun around, I saw a beam of shining white light that seemed to burn a hole right through Nyarlathotep's bat-wings. And standing not too far away was…

"It's a good thing I brought this." Toolshed stood armed with a handheld searchlight and he was shining a strong beam of light up at Nyarlathotep. "His defenses are down! Now Mysterion!" he shouted to me.

I quickly saw Nyarlathotep's three-lobed eye exposed through his burnt wings. Without wasting a second, I gathered up all the inner eldritch-power within me and fired another Eldritch Blast squarely into Nyarlathotep's glowing eye. Bullseye… Nyarlathotep let out a guttural roar of fury and to my horror, the Outer God was crawling by its tendrils. And then Nyarlathotep was turning around to go after Toolshed.

"No! Your fight is with me asshole!" I yelled furiously after Nyarlathotep. But I had to jump out of the way as Nyarlathotep's tentacle still gripped the lamppost and tried swiping at me with it. After dodging his attacks, I raised my fist, reared it back, and shot another Eldritch Blast that hit Nyarlathotep in the side.

On his end, Toolshed backed away as Nyarlathotep started advancing on him. He tried really hard not to look that Lovecraftian abomination in the eye. Keeping his gaze averted, Toolshed instead fought to keep control of his sanity and not give in to panic. He patiently waited… Mysterion struck Nyarlathotep with another Eldritch Blast and this gave him the opening he needed. Toolshed shined his handheld searchlight in Nyarlathotep's burning eye to dispel him. Both Mysterion and Toolshed jumped back and out of the way as Nyarlathotep spread his wide bat-wings and took off into the skies again.

"This isn't working," Toolshed pointed out. "He keeps running from us. Isn't there any way we can do more damage to him?"

Toolshed was right. At this rate, Nyarlathotep was only getting more pissed off. We needed stronger bright light in order to take him down. But the whole town was swallowed up in darkness. But then I looked down at the Shining Trapezohedron I still held in my hand. And then I came up with an idea. "I know what to do," I shouted over to Toolshed. "But we're going to need to work together on this. Follow me! We need to get to higher ground!"

Together we took off after Nyarlathotep. I carefully went over the plan in my head. I looked down at the purplish-black crystal in my hand and saw it glowing luminously. The same crystal I gazed into and inadvertently summoned the Haunter of the Dark. Time to send that creature back to whence it came… Nyarlathotep flew a few distances before coming to land in front of the Park County police officers who have created roadblocks to try to contain the chaos within the town. Now armed with guns, shotguns and all firearms, they waited until Nyarlathotep was in position before opening fire on the Lovecraftian beast.

Letting out an enraged growl, Nyarlathotep's tentacles lashed out at the police officers. Plucking them off the streets and strangling them followed by mauling some of them. By the time Toolshed and I arrived, we saw the police officers had Nyarlathotep distracted for the moment. Then I pointed over to the Park County Community Center. It was now or never. We hurried over to the building and I reached the door first. But I didn't go in. I realized I didn't want Toolshed to go with me. What I was about to do was dangerous.

"Stan…," I said softly. I turned around to stare into his midnight-blue eyes gazing back at me through his protective goggles. "I can handle this myself. You should get out of here. Go where it's safe."

"Oh Kenny…," Toolshed whispered. He reached out to tenderly touch my face and then leaned in to lovingly kiss me. I closed my eyes and gave in eagerly. But suddenly Toolshed forcibly pushed us into the building and locked the door behind us. "I'm not going anywhere," Toolshed said firmly. "We're partners. You're stuck with me."

"Goddamn you, Stan," I said irritably. But as we hurried to the staircase, I smiled for the first time that night. Stan could be so stubborn but I loved him for it.

Climbing the staircase, we've reached the top and burst through the door and onto the roof. From here, we had a perfect view of Nyarlathotep who was still savagely attacking the police-officers who fired and shot at him. Bullets weren't going to stop immortal Outer God. But I had something that would. First things first, I had to get Nyarlathotep's attention. Running over to the edge, I looked over to see how far away Nyarlathotep was from the Park County Community Center. Then I stoop up on the ledge and then raised my voice at the top of my lungs so as to be heard from way over here.

"NYARLATHOTEP!"

As I'd hoped, Nyarlathotep's grotesque bat-like body and three-lobed eye turned toward the direction of my loud shout. Nyarlathotep's ugly eye burned into my own. This was it. I looked over my shoulder and gave Toolshed the go-ahead. With his handheld searchlight, he shined it on the Shining Trapezohedron. Exposed to the bright light, the blackish crystal began to grow brighter and brighter. Upon gazing into its depths, I could have sworn I saw another galaxy swirling in its dark masses. A window to other worlds… Once enough light has gathered into the black crystal, the Shining Trapezohedron was radiating with power and glimmering a vivid purplish-light.

Nyarlathotep was slowly approaching the Park County Community Center. His burning red three-lobed eye squarely on me and nothing else. I stared defiantly back into that hideous eye. "I always saw right through you," I shouted loudly so as to be heard. "I never trusted you. And my power didn't trust you either. That's why it's protected me all this time. It refused to let you possess me."

Nyarlathotep hissed in reply. "I don't know what I am but I know who I am…," I said boldly. I held up the Shining Trapezohedron. I made absolutely sure Nyarlathotep saw it. The Outer God eyed the crystal. Then I smirked proudly. "I'm Mysterion…"

I tossed the Shining Trapezohedron high in the air. Nyarlathotep eyed the gleaming stone. And then I shot a final powerful Eldritch Blast that hit the Shining Trapezohedron right in its center. The Shining Trapezohedron reacted and gave a powerful blinding light that caused Nyarlathotep to screech in pain. It was too powerful… The explosion that erupted sent us all flying back. Toolshed was blown back by the force of the Shining Trapezohedron and the scorching light it gave off. The epact it created was too great. Car alarms went off, windows smashed on impact. I lost my balance and suddenly went toppling off the rooftop and found myself falling facedown to the ground below…

...

Toolshed didn't know how long he was knocked out. When he finally regained consciousness, the first thing he realized was the blood dripping down his forehead from a cut he'd received. His ears were still ringing and his entire body was in aching pain. Still feeling shaky all over, somehow Toolshed managed to sit up from the ground where he could hear the sirens of police-cars, ambulances and fire-trunks. It took a few minutes for him to remember where he was. The Park County Community Center…

He reached up to feel the cut on his head while hearing the sound of alarmed voices and shouting on the streets below. Slowly Toolshed climbed back on his feet and then he started to look around. For some reason, he was suffering the worst headache right about now. Toolshed struggled to remember what happened just now. That's when he first realized that the evil chaotic Nyarlathotep was gone. The Shining Trapezohedron was missing too. Did Mysterion did it? Was it enough light to banish Nyarlathotep back to its own dimension?

"Mysterion?" Toolshed realized that his partner was nowhere around either. "Mysterion?" he called out to him. But when Toolshed ran to the edge of the building and looked down. He saw below him, Mysterion's lifeless body lying dead in a pool of blood on the ground…

Stan dropped to his knees and realized it was over. Mysterion had done it. They used the Shining Trapezohedron against Nyarlathotep. The chaos was finally put to an end. And yet despite feeling relief, Stan realized he had tears in his eyes. Was it the tears of joy or tears of mourning? Stan didn't know what to do now. He was perfectly content to just sit here and wait to feel normal again. Once he was feeling up to it, perhaps he'd better go reunite with his family and friends. There was nothing he could do for Kenny. At least not right now…

...

Peace and order slowly returned to South Park. It would take weeks to clean up this mess in the town. The insanity was gone and the townspeople were back to normal. Unfortunately a lot of arrests have gone around and unsurprisingly, Randy Marsh was once again sitting in a jail-cell for the damage he'd done. In fact, half the kids' parents were sitting in jail-cells until things were straightened out. There'd been a lot of injuries and deaths that hadn't been publicly announced yet. For now, people just wanted to recover and turn to each other for support.

Mrs. Broflovski happily embraced both her sons Kyle and Ike into her arms. Ms. Cartman sat on the back of an ambulance with her son Cartman by her side. Ms. Cartman was covered in an emergency blanket and was genuinely embarrassed to have run through the streets naked. Thankfully Cartman managed to talk the cops out of arresting his mother. Craig and Tweek were happily reunited with their families as well as their other friends. Even Bradley happily hugged his Great Aunt Brenda and ended up introducing her to Butters. Mrs. Marsh was frantically searching for her son among the crowd.

"Stanley? Has anybody seen Stan?" Mrs. Marsh came upon the Broflovskis. "Sheila! Have you seen Stan? I can't find him!"

But at that exact moment, she spotted him. Stan was practically limping towards her, looking very beaten-up and sporting a bloodied cut on his forehead but perfectly okay. There Stan allowed his mother to throw her arms around him into a happy hug. Afterwards, Stan went over to greet his best friend Kyle, followed by seeing his other friends and acquaintances. Stan was glad to see everybody. It's good to see a lot of people who's managed to survive all the death and chaos. Now all Stan wanted to do was breathe easy for the first time that day…

Is Kenny McCormick finally dead for good? Did Nyarlathotep manage to get a hit in? Only one way to find out. Tune in for more updates.
