Kibbles forward: I played Helltaker. Then for the last two weeks this idea has been nagging me in my head, forcing me to work on it while on break while at work on boring overnight shifts. Honestly I have no idea if this is good, bad, serious, or utter crack, so I'll let you all decide. If there's lots of positive response it will be more likely to update, so I hope you like this strange and very odd combination that came too pass due to a single stray thought of, Bells hair and eyes are the same as all the drop in in Helltaker, huh.
Edit 1: fixed story placement from single type to crossover.
Everyone in the Eighteen floor of the dungeon stared in shocked silence at what they had just witnessed. The impossibility of it so absurd they could not believe their eyes.
The little rookie, Bell Cranel, had just dealt the killing blow to the black goliath, only for another one the color of clouds to dig itself out of the ground and attack him. In their weakened state no one knew what to do. Everyone had exhausted everything against the first one. They couldn't possibly kill a second so quickly!
But then just as it reached for Bell, a voice had called out something about not touching him, and the goliaths entire arm exploded in a loud of red mist alongside the sound of lightning.
Then the goliath was vaporized into nothingness, and a man stood there where it had been. Though man was hardly a befitting description for him.
He radiated power and strength. Barrel chested, broad shoulders, legs like oak logs, arms like bundled wire and forged adamantine. Standing to an impressive height and garbed in white pants, a red shirt and a white jacket. His shoes were so black they seemed to absorb light from around them, and his sunglasses so dark they looked to be made of obsidian. His hair too was black, slicked back perfectly to accent his style and keep his locks from getting in the way of his glasses.
Every woman that looked at him felt their heartbeats skip. Their minds either swooning as they imagined what it would be like to be held in his big strong arms, or simply acknowledging how handsome he was. Every man felt something too, the sudden surety that he was beyond them in every way as both a person, a human, and a man, even if they did not realize why.
Only two entities did not look in awe at the mans sudden presence, and they were too shocked by it to show their surprise. They, like everyone else, was dead silent as he stood there, arm up at a ninety degree angle with his knuckle bent backwards, as if he had simply smacked the goliath out of existence with the back of his fist and without looking.
The large oddly clothed man then took a step towards bell, spread his arms out wide, another to everyone's surprise, picked him up in a great big hug that would not have looked out or place if a bear had done it. "Finally , I have found you!"
Bell, who was very tired, very confused, and surprised he was not getting crushed in the mans arms, simply had no idea what was going on and it took him a couple seconds react. "Uh, um, could you let go of me please?"
"Ah, right sorry," the man said as he gently set Bell down and smiled. "It is good to see you again."
"You know me?" Bell asked in surprise. "I'm sorry but I don't think I know you. Who are you?"
The looked at Bell and sighed, his expression sad and a bit pained. "Ah, yes of course. You would not recognize me but I am your-"
"Bell get away from him now!" Hestia screamed at the top of her lungs m drawing all eyes to her. She looked terrified and worried all at once, and had even picked up a small dagger and was holding it in her shaking hands.
"What? But he just saved us from that other-"
"Listen to her Bell, that man is not someone any mortal should ever approach!" Hermes said as he walked out from between a pair or trees, his eyes narrowed at the man cautiously as Asfi followed behind him. "Asfi, when I give the word, that man needs to die."
"Very well, but why?" Asfi said, clearly still tired from the goliath fight from the she was swaying on her feet and holding her one arm limply.
"That thing, it is not human, do not assume as such from looks alone, that man is a monster " Hermes said seriously, prompting a few other adventurers nearby to tense up and assume combat stances.
"Ha! that's not very cool of you. I am still mostly human," The man said with a smile as he held a hand horizontal to his chest and opened his palm, electricity and fire suddenly arcing between this fingers for a second. "My wives just made me a bit more, that's all."
"Your wives are demons of hell!" Hestia claimed, making many look on in surprise and confusion. Hell was, after all, a known concept but was completely avoided by the gods. All that was known about it was that those who sinned heavily went their when they died, as opposed to going to the underworld manned by the gods.
"Considering what I have heard of you gods pulling in the past, I really don't think you have any right to make judgments on what I have done," the man said, seeming quite calm and proud despite the number of individuals surrounding him who were armed.
"So, who exactly is he?" someone nearby asked, the question picking up speed as almost every adventurer around began asking it, and why the two gods present were so wary of his presence.
"He is known as the Helltaker," Hermes said seriously, his eyes never leaving the man who now had a title. "Roughly two hundred years ago he was a mortal who willingly entered hell, passed every test and challenge before him, including those said to impossible, and claimed not just the leader of hell, but many demons as well as his wives, creating the most dangerous harem in history."
"You mean he's just some pretty boy huh?" someone asked, making many other start thinking the same.
"I said that happened over two hundred years ago. Does he look two hundred?" Hermes asked, making the amount of noise die down as that question started making people realize something is up. " even the weakest demon of hell is capable of killing a level two adventurer. The ones that are his wives are some or the strongest. He is a man who is no longer a human," Hermes declared stoically. "So why are you here, Helltaker?"
The Helltaker smiled and pointed a finger directly at Bell. "I am here to reclaim my son!"
Silence reigned for many moments, no one able to immediately know how to react to such a statement. After all, Bell was not what people thought of when the phrase child of a demon was spoken.
"Huh? Are you insane? Bell is no demon, and couldn't possibly be your son! Are you crazy?" Hestia screamed at the Helltaker.
"I know who my son is!" the Helltaker exclaimed seriously as he glared at Hestia. "Born nearly fifteen years ago, and kidnapped by one of your kind who could not fathom the idea of a half demon boy being born, and claiming he would raise him into a hero, as if he could not become such as my son!" He then turned to look at Bell. 'For fourteen years your mother and I have been scouring the multitudes of mortal dimensions for you. It's time to come home son."
Bell instantly took a step back away from the Helltaker. "Uh, I think you have the wrong person. My parents died when I was young. I was raised by my grandfather, and I'm certainly not a demon. I'm human."
"You're a half demon, taking after me, so mostly human. About a ninety-ten split I'd say," The Helltaker said assuredly.
"A, what?" Bell asked, utterly confused.
"The percentage. Your ninety percent human, and ten percent demon I would guess. That's what gives you your looks."
"What?! Bell doesn't look anything like a demon! You're nothing but a liar!" Liliruca yelled from her position by a tree, to exhausted to stand.
"Hair as white as fresh snow, Eyes the color of fresh blood and skin so pale it makes you stand out. A very common, almost universal trait for most demons. One your mother, and sisters, share," The Helltaker said as he looked at Bell. "I am not lying. I have no reason to"
"No , I'm not a demon, your lying for some reason, " Bell said seriously.
The Helltaker let out a long aggravated sigh as he scratched the back of his head. "Look, I knew this would be hard, but you-" he stopped midsentence as a strange musical tune began coming out from somewhere. He then pulled out a small object that seemed to be the source or the noise, and flipped it open before bringing it to his ear, ending the tune. "Yeah? . . . .Yes I've found him, he's right in front of me. . . . . . .no, not yet. . . No. . . . . Yes, I told you it could be tough with him being raised elsewhere. He's basically brainwashed. . . No pancakes will not fix it. . . . . . . . . . . . . That is a thing? . . . Why wasn't I told? . . . . Fair. Looks like we have the same thoughts on that then. . . . . . Well I can do it myself . . . . . That's true. . . . . . Alright send her over and we'll bring him back. I promise . . . . . . . . . Of course, see you soon," the Helltaker finished as he closed the object and put it back in his pocket. "That was your mother. She's looking forward to seeing you again."
"I told you, I'm not who you think I am ,my parents-"
"died when you were young, yes I know what you said. That was clearly a lie the bastard that kidnapped you made up to keep you from asking about it, the Helltaker said as he pulled out a small orb of red metal and tossed it to the side. "your sisters nose won't lie though."
Before Bell, or anyone else, could say anything to that statement, the orb begins opening up, transforming and expanding in a way that defied logic until it formed a pair of metal rods covered in dark symbols.
Then a portal that looked like a whirlpool of blood and fire opened up between them.
"A Hellgate?! Are you mad? Hundreds of demons could-"
"calm down," the Helltaker said, interrupting Hermes worries words. "The only one coming through is one of my daughters," The Helltaker said while looking at Bell. "One of your sisters!"
The Hellgate then shimmered and warped as two identical people came out at the same time. Both were girls who looked around Bells own age, were clad in black dress pants and red short sleeves shirts with loose black vests overtop. Their short white heads of hair were sleek and immaculate, barely reaching their shoulders while pointed doglike ears came out of the hair atop their heads. Thin tails came out from behind them and waved back and forth, and their blood red eyes almost seemed to glow as they elegantly walked out.
And promptly lost any elegance they had as they rushed at the Helltaker and hugged his sides with smiles on their faces.
"Daddy!" "You need help?" "We can help right?" " Well be good and not break the cars this time," "Promise!" the two girls said in tandem, making it impossible to tell if they were twins, had planned out what they would say or if one was leading the other.
"Yes I need your help for a bit Orthros ," the Helltaker said as he placed a hand atop the head of each girl and began softly patting their heads. "that boy there. What does he smell like to you?"
Both girls looked up at bell, let go of the Helltaker, and then were suddenly gone. In that same instant Bell felt a hand on his shoulder and looked over to find one of them holding his back and sniffing it, then realized the other was in front of him, and sniffing his face. "ah, wait this is a bit,-" Bell tried to speak up only to stop as the one in front of him licked him on the cheek and made him blush.
"He smells like Auntie!" "He tastes like you!" both girls exclaimed as they looked to the Helltaker with smiles on their faces that somehow Bell knew meant he was in danger.
"That's because he's your brother," the Helltaker stated with a smile.
The two girls instantly slid to Bells sides and latched onto him, holding his arms tightly against their modest chests. "Ya! Brother is found!" "we found brother!" "Auntie will be happy!" I am happy!" "Sisters be happy!" "Daddy be happy!" "Brother happy?" "Brother is red! Brother happy!"
"Bell get away from those demon Hussies and stop liking it!" Hestia shrieked in annoyance.
"I, I'm trying!" Bell said as he struggled against the girls to either side of him, finding that their girls were like iron. "they're too strong!"
"Brother wants to play?" Brother wants to cuddle?" the two girls said before both smiling, then licking him on the cheeks. "Brother wants to play rougher maybe?"
"Grrr, let go or him you demons!" Hestia demanded angrily. The two girls simply turned their heads to look at Hestia and then stuck their tongues out at her. "Why you demonic little-"
"Orthros!" the Helltaker suddenly called out, causing both of the girls heads to whip around and face him. "take your brother back home to everyone."
"Okay!" Both girls said happily as they began walking towards the Hellgate, dragging Bell along between them.
"Wait, let go, let go of me!" Bell said as he tried to struggle against the girls grip to no avail.
"Asfi!" Hermes called, prompting Asfi into action.
She rushed forward and threw a bottle at the two girls and bell, only for the Helltaker to suddenly be between them, catching the vial in one hand. "Throwing things is not very nice," he said with a smile.
"Neither is kidnapping," Asfi said as she threw another option, and then immediately threw a knife at it in midair. The potion exploded in a cone of force that also destroyed the vial the Helltaker was holding, spraying his side in shining silver water that began steaming off of him instantly.
"Then you should have no issue with this, as I'm bringing him home. One of those gods kidnapped him, and they are not exactly known for being selfless," the Helltaker said as he glanced back to see Orthros almost at the Hellgate with Bell. "Also, if that was supposed to be holy water, then you should know that it is hardly as effective as you think it should be."
Asfi suddenly threw a vial at the Helltakers feet, it breaking open and covering them in a goo that quickly solidified "Hurting you wasn't my intention, now Ryu!"
Right on cue the elf known to most as Ryu Lione burst from the nearby trees and was right by the two girls holding Bell, her sword raised high. "Release him," she said curtly as she swung down at the closest of the two.
The one let go of Bell and raised their arms, blocking Ryu's strike with, much to her surprise, no visible damage. Seeing this Ryu changed her tactics and twisted in the air, planting a foot on the arms of the one girl and using her to propel herself at the other, foot ready to be planted into the demons face.
Only the next thing that happened was Ryu found herself flying in the opposite direction of Bell and the two demons, the one she had used as a stepping stone looking as if it had just thrown something. Had it just thrown her somehow? She could only grimace as she flew through the air, unable to right herself before slamming into the treeline.
"You alright?" The helltaker called back as he simply lifted his feet out of the solidified muck as if it was nothing.
"Fine!" "Sore!" "Not bleeding!" "Probably bruise!" "Elf light!" "Brother surprised!" the two girls said at once, making It difficult to ascertain who said what.
"Then get home. I'll be right behind you," The Helltaker said as he smiled victoriously at Asfi, Hestia and Hermes. "We are leaving."
"By now!" "bye-bye!" the two girls said before the one went back over, grabbed Bells free arm, and then the two promptly leapt at the Hellgate.
"Wait, help I-" Bell was cut off as he was pulled into the Hellgate by the two girls, smiles on their faces the whole time.
"No! Bell!" Hestia yelled as she tried to go after him, held back only by Hermes. "why!?" she then yelled, glaring at the Helltaker.
The Helltaker stopped as he made his way to the Hellgate and looked over at Hestia. "I'm not the one you should be asking that. Don't worry, you'll meet again, I'm sure of it,"
Hestia looked at him in confusion before suddenly realizing that, the Helltaker was not looking at her, but past her, to Hermes "Wait, what do you-"
"Goodbye. And sorry for the trouble," the Helltaker then said as he entered the Hellgate, causing it to crack and crumble apart into dust as he entered it.
And with the Portal crumbling into nothingness there was no proof it had even been there. And no sign of Bell Cranel.
