One day Naruto was reading over some paperwork from other villages. There had been an outbreak of a new virus. There was little known about this virus known as COVID-19 or the Corona Virus. It was suggested that they cancel all missions, close the gates and quarantine their villages. The five Kage were all in agreement that they would do this for at least two weeks. The other Kage wanted it to start immediately. Naruto begged them to delay the quarantine until he could get Sasuke home. Sasuke was still on his mission tracking Kaguya as part of his everlasting atonement journey and could be anywhere by now.

As he was reading these papers Sakura barged into his office.

"Naruto! You need to contact my husband immediately!" She yelled.

"I was just about to write him and tell him to come home." Naruto said. "Don't worry, I won't close the village gates until he gets home."

"Thank you. I've got a test waiting for him. As soon as he gets home, I'll test him and expediate it. If it's going to come in, I wouldn't doubt he brings it… I'll have to make him stay home, just in case. I don't think he'll take to well to that…" Sakura said.

"I'll meet him at the gate and explain everything." Naruto said. Sakura nodded.

"Thank you."

"No sweat, Sakura. It'll be good to see Sasuke again. I know you and Sarada will be happy to have him home as well." Sakura nodded. Naruto started working on the letter to Sasuke. "I'm not putting much information into it. Just enough to get him home. If he finds out this is the real reason why, he might blow me off. He's done it before."

"Sounds like my Sasuke." Sakura smiled at her husband's stubbornness. "That's always been how he is."

"But with this, I'm not letting him get his way. He's coming home." Naruto said. He finished the letter and handed it to Sakura. "Read it and let me know if I should add anything." Sakura scanned the short note.

Sasuke,

Something has come up and you need to return to the village immediately. I need my right-hand man here with me for this one. Sakura and Sarada need you home. As soon as you get this letter, return home. I'll explain the situation at the gates. We'll be waiting for you.

-Naruto

Sakura took Naruto's pen and added her own message, making sure he knew it was her writing it.

Please come home to me soon… for our family… for us. I love you and need you. Please, Sasuke.

~Sakura

Sakura gently kissed the paper by where she signed her name leaving a light imprint of her lip balm. She folded it up and put it in the hawk's holster.

"Take it to Sasuke, my husband, as fast as you can…" Sakura said worried.

"What did you add?" Naruto asked.

"That's personal." Sakura said and left Naruto's office.

"What do you think she wrote?" Naruto asked Shikamaru who was sitting across the room from him.

"Knowing Sakura, probably begging him to come home and put something that would guilt trip him into coming home."

"Guilt trip?"

"Yeah, like saying she loves him and wants him home."

The hawk quickly found Sasuke. It turns out he wasn't but a few hours away. The hawk found him walking through a forest area. Sasuke noticed it and put his arm out. The hawk landed and he took the letter out.

"Now what does Naruto want? That loser." He read the note. Sakura's message got to him more than anything. "Sakura…"

Sasuke quickly responded and sent the bird on its way back to Naruto. Later that night Naruto received his letter.

"Tell my family I'll be home in the morning." Is all Sasuke wrote. Naruto got out his cell phone and called Sakura to tell her the good news coming from Sasuke.

"Hey Naruto, what's up?" She asked when she put the phone to her ear.

"I just got a response from Sasuke. His letter is one sentence."

"What did he say?" Sakura asked.

"Tell my family I'll be home in the morning." Naruto read.

"Great. We'll be there." Sakura said. "I have to go tell Sarada now." Sakura hung up her cell phone and smiled. She was happy that her part of the message got to him. She knew she was his weakness after all. "Sarada!" Sakura called. Sarada walked into the living room.

"Yes, mom?" she asked.

"Your father will be home in the morning." She smiled. "We're going to meet him at the gate." Sarada had a wide excited grin on her face, much like her mother's excited smile.

"I'm glad dad is coming home. I heard about the virus." She said.

"That's why Naruto summoned him home. He'll be home for the foreseeable future, at least two weeks anyway. It depends on what happens with the virus and what Naruto says. I know he's going to try to keep him home for a while." Sarada smiled at her mother, knowing she was the most happy about this than anyone else.

The next morning the Uchiha's were awake and dressed as soon as the sun came up. They knew Sasuke had a tendency to show up whenever he felt like it. Usually earlier than he said he would. For all they knew he was walking into the village at this very moment. They rushed to the gates. The guards had been there all night. They were instructed to close the gate as soon as Sasuke was in the village. The gates were open. Which meant he hadn't arrived yet.

"Hey Sakura!" Izumo said as her and Sarada walked up to them.

"Hey Izumo, Kotetsu. We're here to wait for Sasuke." She said.

"Naruto told us you would be here. He also left you two chairs and said he would be along eventually." Kotetso said getting out the chairs.

"Thanks." Sarada responded taking them and setting them up in front of the gate. She didn't know how long they would be waiting so she brought a book with her. Reading is one of her favorite past-times. Sakura said she got that from her, not Sasuke. He preferred taking walks or training in any spare time he had. Sarada sat down and cracked open her book. She had it covered with a cover reading "Leaf Village: Shinobi of the Past," but really the book was "A Teenagers Guide: How to Get Along with Your Father."

Sakura couldn't think of anything but waiting for Sasuke to return. She kept her eyes forward waiting for the first sign of Sasuke, her husband and one true love. She didn't know how he would react to finding out the reason he was summoned back to the village. He probably thought there was something wrong with Sakura or Sarada. There's no way he couldn't have found out about the virus by now… right? She put her medical bag on the ground. As soon as Sasuke walked in she was going to test him and then run it to have it processed. The medical lab was ready to process his test as soon as it arrived.

A while later Naruto and Shikamaru showed up to wait with them.

"Sasuke should be here soon." Naruto said. "I'm surprised he isn't here by now."

"He probably suspects something." Shikamaru said. "He's a smart guy. I wouldn't doubt he figured it out. Which reminds me, Sakura you bring those masks?"

"Yes." Sakura opened her medical bag. After hearing the guidelines to wear masks when in public she made some for them. Each one had their clan's symbols on it. The masks were black with the Nara, Uchiha and Uzumaki symbols displayed on them depending on who they were for. She handed them their masks and they all put them on.

"I feel like Kakashi sensei." Naruto laughed. "I'm Kakashi of the Sharigan! 1,000 years of Death!" Naruto said imitating their sensei. Sakura and Sarada laughed watching their friend do his impressions of Kakashi for the next few minutes. Until, Sakura looked past him and saw a silhouette coming into view.

"Sasuke…"

She couldn't help herself. Sakura stood up, took off her mask and ran towards the silhouette. As she got closer, it was verified. Sasuke was finally home. Sakura met him before they were fully in view of the village. She stopped in front of him, no matter how many times he came home, she would have the same feeling every time. Excitement, relief and happiness that could bring her to tears. At the moment she could care less about COVID-19. She flung herself into Sasuke, wrapping her arms around his chest with the same welcoming embrace she always used.

"Welcome home, Anata." She said softly as she hugged him.

"Thank you, Tsuma." Sasuke said holding her closely worrying there was something going on with her. After they were married Sasuke started referring to Sakura as "Tsuma" meaning "wife," as a nickname. He still called her Sakura most of the time because he knew that she liked hearing him say her name. As such, Sakura started calling Sasuke "Anata" meaning "darling," and he didn't seem to mind when she did. It was a small thing in their relationship Sakura held special to her. Typically, her and Sasuke only said these pet names in private.

Sakura released her husband and smiled, taking his hand and walking back to the village. It was now or never. Izumo and Kotetsu were ready to close the gates as soon as they were through. Husband and Wife walked back to the village in silence. Sakura didn't want to say anything until the gates were closed.

"Hey, Sasuke!" Naruto called waving from inside the gate.

"Dad!" Sarada said excited as she started waving at him. Sasuke smiled at Sarada waiting for him. He was happy that she came to see him as well. They walked into the gates and up to Sarada, Naruto and Shikamaru. The second they cleared it Izumo and Kotetsu quickly closed them. Hearing the gates close Sasuke turned around.

"What the hell's going on here. I thought this had something to do with my family. Why are you all wearing masks?" he asked coldly. While Sasuke was distracted Sakura grabbed the test from her bag and slipped on her mask and gloves.

"Sasuke, we summoned you back here to protect you. There's a new virus going around. Right now, we don't know much about it, but other countries around the world have had outbreaks and many have died. The gates to the village are closed now. No one is getting in or out until it's safe."

"Naruto, I wouldn't contract it. You're worrying about me for nothing. You know I'm immune to poisons. Which is probably what this is." Sasuke said annoyed.

Sakura walked back to Sasuke. "Sasuke, please. I asked Naruto to call you home." Sakura said worried. "We don't know you would be immune to it. We don't even know where it came from. Until it is deemed safe, no one can do anything. That being said, we don't know if anyone you could have had contact with could have had it. I need to test you."

Sasuke sighed. He couldn't say "no" to Sakura. Not when she looked at him with her worried emerald green eyes. He gave in, only for Sakura and Sarada, who was just being quiet. She didn't know what she could add to this conversation. Sakura opened up the test. It was a simple cotton-swab. She gave Sasuke instructions and was able to administer the test with ease. She put it back in its container.

"I have to get this to the lab. They're going to test it and get his results to me as fast as they can." Sakura said. "Sasuke, Sarada, I'll be home as soon as I get the results." She turned away and ran in the direction of the hospital.

Sarada walked up to her father.

"Dad, you need to wear this now. Just like the rest of us." She handed the homemade mask to her father.

"Who made these?" he asked.

"Mom." Sasuke nodded and did as his daughter said and slowly covered his mouth and nose with the mask.

"There's more Sasuke," Shikamaru said. Starting tonight, there is a "Stay at home" order on the village for two weeks. You're only supposed to leave your house for essential reasons, like shopping or Sakura going to the hospital. That also means, no Rinnegan transportation."

"It's a good thing that you just bought that new house, huh? Sarada told Boruto that she set up a training area in the backyard." Naruto said. Sarada blushed.

"Is this true, Sarada?" Sasuke asked.

"Yeah. I was hoping if I made something we could train together more." She said embarrassed.

"Sounds like we'll have plenty of time." He responded. Sasuke had no idea how they were going to pass the time other than that. He had never been locked in one place for an extended period, without being in a genjutsu.

Sakura ran to the lab as fast as she could. She needed to know if Konoha was about to have its first case. From what she could tell, Sasuke wasn't showing any symptoms. Not yet anyway. All she really knew about the virus is that it took two to fourteen days for someone to start showing symptoms. With the way Sasuke travels, he could have been anywhere two weeks ago. It made her a little nervous that Sasuke was home because of that. If he had it, it meant that her and Sarada would more than likely get it. She would rather have him here than anywhere else though.

When she arrived Shizune was waiting for her outside the testing lab. She handed her Sasuke's test.

"I'm surprised he let you test him." She said.

"I can get him to do almost anything. His only weakness is his family."

"He has certainly come a long way. I'll go get this tested and let you know something soon." Shizune said.

"I'm going to wait here. I need to let Sasuke and Sarada know the second we have results."

Sakura watched Shizune walk through the lab doors and start working on his test. Everyone was wearing protective disposable suits. Shizune had a team of several people there so they could get the results as quick as possible. There were several steps in this process. Some worked on the sample itself, others had to compare the data from the sample to data they had in the computer on the virus. It would normally take a few days, but because this was for Sakura, they had enough people to get it done in a matter of hours.

Sakura stayed and watched every step being done. She was forming a plan in her mind on how she would treat Sasuke if he had it and what she would do when her and Sarada eventually came down with it. Sakura hoped if her family did get it, it wouldn't get to the point of needing to be hospitalized, what kind of doctor would she be if she couldn't even take care of her family. She hoped no one in the village got that far either. These next few weeks were going to be long. Afterwards, she was going to take a vacation. Maybe she would travel with Sasuke for a week, if Sarada was ok with that anyway.

Finally, a few hours later the results came in. Shizune walked out to Sakura to give them to her. She handed Sakura a folder with all of the information they were able to get. Sakura carefully read over everything and sighed. Sasuke didn't have the virus.

"At least this means I can go home and kiss my husband." Sakura said getting out her cell phone and texting Sarada.

"I thought you guys did that forehead poke thing." She said.

"That's what Sasuke prefers in public. He gets embarrassed easily. When we're alone he has no problem kissing me. Sarada gets the forehead poke more than I do." Sakura said.

"Well, we'll take it from here today. So far, we're still in the clear. We're working on setting up virtual meetings with other nation's hospitals."

"Alright. Call me if you need me." Sakura said.

Meanwhile, Sarada was in her bedroom, she was nervous about the virus and didn't want to get to close to Sasuke until they knew if he had it. She was hoping this didn't make her a bad daughter, she really did want to talk to him.

Sarada's cell phone buzzed with a text message from Sakura.

"He doesn't have it. I'll be home soon." Sarada sighed. She walked out to the living room where she last saw her dad. He wasn't there. She looked outside to see if he was training, wasn't there either. Sarada sat down on the couch and turned on the tv figuring he went to take a shower in her mom's bathroom.

A little while later Sakura arrived home and walked in the living room.

"Welcome home, mom." Sarada said.

"Thank you. Where's dad?" she asked.

"I don't know. I thought he might be taking a shower. I haven't had a chance to tell him he's in the clear."

"I'll go see what's going on." Sakura walked to their bedroom where she found Sasuke. He had fallen asleep on the bed after taking a shower. He had changed into a black t-shirt and black pants.

"I wonder when the last time he got any decent sleep was… he must be exhausted." Sakura walked up to the bed and gently sat next to him, trying not to wake him up. She gently stroked his damp hair.

Without meaning to, she accidently woke him up. Unlike when he was a teenager, he wasn't grumpy when he first woke up. He slowly opened his eyes and looked at his beautiful wife.

"Sakura…" he said still groggy.

"I didn't mean to wake you up… I'm sorry." She said. Sasuke sat up and rubbed his eyes.

"It's okay. I didn't mean to fall asleep."

"Well, since you are awake, I have good news. You don't have the virus." Sasuke nodded.

Sakura took the moment they had in private, put her hands on his face and gently pulled him towards her for a welcome home kiss on the lips. Something she wanted to do from the second she saw his silhouette coming into view. His lips were as warm as she remembered. Sasuke put his hand on her shoulder and pulled her closer. She enjoyed this moment with her husband and looked forward to more. The tender kiss brought her to tears. Sakura always cried easily when it came to Sasuke, but these days, they were tears of happiness.

Sasuke felt her tears and pulled away. He looked at her in the face and watched the small tears streaming down her cheeks. He had gotten used to how easily she cried. It still didn't make it any easier to watch, no matter what the reason. He reached up and gently wiped her eyes and cheeks with his thumb.

As they were enjoying a quiet moment with their heads leaning on one-another and Sakura had gently wrapped her hands around Sasuke's hand. Sarada walked up to their room to check on them. Sakura left the door open. She knocked on the open door.

"Mom… dad, is everything okay?" she asked.

"Sarada…" Sasuke said.

"Yes, we're okay." Sakura said.

"Okay… well… since dad is home, I figured we could make something special for dinner. I got some ingredients for some of his favorite dishes when we were shopping last night." Sarada said.

"Tomatoes…" Sasuke thought and smiled at his daughter. Whenever he came home Sarada always made sure to make him some kind of tomato dish, she knew it was his favorite.

"Thanks, Sarada. That sounds great." Sasuke said. Sarada smiled.

"I'll come help you." Sakura said. "Sasuke, you just rest." She tried to push Sasuke back on the bed to rest.

"No, I'm okay. I'll come with you." Sasuke said following his family with his hand on Sakura's shoulder.

While they started preparing dinner Sasuke sat down in front of the television. He was hoping to find something on about the virus. He had only heard a little bit about it. He wanted to make sure he could understand a least some of what Sakura was talking about when she talked about this new virus. While Sasuke was smart, the medical field was something he didn't completely understand. During their travels, Sakura taught Sasuke some medical ninjutsu. In case anything happened, she wanted him to be able to heal himself or heal her if she couldn't do it herself. She was much better at it, she studied for years under Tsunade, Sakura was able to teach Sasuke some. When he was traveling alone after Sarada was born, she was glad she taught him medical ninjutsu. If anything happened, he could at least heal himself enough to get somewhere that he could be safe.

While Sasuke watched the news trying to learn everything he could, he thought about Naruto's part of that letter. What could Sasuke possibly do in this situation? He only knew enough medical ninjutsu to heal himself a little bit. This whole virus thing definitely wasn't going to be something he could help with. He'd rather leave that to the professionals, like his wife. Her healing hands were going to be the hero's of this story. All he could do is fully support he the entire way, which he intended to do.

After they had a wonderful family dinner thanks to Sarada, Sasuke's little peanut, Sasuke wanted to talk to Sakura. With a stomach full of tomato fried rice and chicken, he was ready to talk about what was really going on.

"Sakura," Sasuke said while they were finishing cleaning the kitchen. "Naruto said he needed me to help him with this virus thing… but I don't know how I could be of any use."

"Well, Tsunade, Shizune and I have the medical part covered. Ino is also helping out. Naruto really can't do that part. Maybe he needs you to help with the village."

"Isn't that Shikamaru's job?" he asked.

"Well, he did call you his right-hand man. Naruto told me he would give you a call after we got your results. It'll probably be tomorrow morning. Since you don't have the virus, he'll probably ask you to come to his office and start figuring out your part in this. Sometimes, we need you here in the village more than we need you protecting us from the shadows. Especially Sarada and I. We would rather have you here with us where we know you're safe. Sarada only talked about you coming home last night."

"Really?" Sasuke asked.

"Yeah. That's why we have so many tomatoes in the house right now." Sakura said nervous.

"I noticed that." Sasuke said.

"That kid… when we were shopping, she only thought about you. What you would want to eat. What you like or don't like. Being excited to spend time with you and train with you in the yard. You being home to have dinner as a family or just being able to say goodnight to you every night."

Hearing these things Sasuke started feeling guilty. He knew for a while that all Sarada wanted was for him to train her. She wanted all the skills any other Uchiha would have had. He made a mental note to work on things he did with Itachi and his father before the massacre. He planned to not only spend more time with Sarada, but to spend more time with his wife as well. He wondered if there was anything special, he could do for her, that didn't involve leaving the house.

"Maybe Sarada will have an idea…"
