Delving deeper

5nightsatfreddys asked for a oneshot of *6x02 spoilers!* a deeper version of the scene at Granny's with Snow, Emma and Regina. Snow and Regina confront Emma about the shaking hands more.

So as you can tell by this, I've seen the latest episode now!

"This is the one time we are going to ask you to please think like the Evil Queen." Snow said. In order for them to stop her, they had to know what she was planning. Regina was their best hope of that. Regina looked at Snow, lost, what did she think she could do? Snow could see she was going to have to prompt her. "What did she mean when she said we all have stories we don't want told?" At this, Emma's own guilt riddled conscience creeped up on her. The vision started. There was her story that she didn't want told. Emma brought herself back to Earth, seeing that her hand was shaking.

"Emma?" Regina asked, as Emma grabbed the shaking hand with the steady one. Emma pretended like nothing had happened. She picked up her mug and held it to her lips. "Are you ok?" Emma could see the clear concern on both her mom and Regina's faces.

"Yeah, fine." Emma answered, not daring to look either of them in the eye. Snow and Regina looked at each other before looking at Emma.

"Don't lie to me." Snow said calmly. She might not have Emma's 'super power', but Snow knew when her daughter was lying to her. Their relationship had come that far. "Emma, what just happened with your hand?"

"Nothing." Emma snapped. "Like I said, I'm fine." She added, slightly more gently.

"Emma." Regina said softly. "You've seen what happens when we lie to each other. Whatever this is, it's clearly not going away. Don't make the same mistake. Tell us what's wrong so that we can help you…"

"Look, I said I'm fine. Drop it, ok?" Emma snapped again. She didn't feel like talking about this. Especially with Regina. Emma knew she had to cool off.

"I need some air." Emma said, squeezing out of the booth and towards the door.

"Emma, wait…" Snow called after her, but Emma didn't wait. She kept going. She just couldn't face this problem, not yet. Emma wasn't ready to admit she might fail as the Saviour soon.

I won't be writing a sequel to this one to avoid repeating myself :).
