Platinum: Hi people! I'm a bit late this time, sorry!
Corvus: And will probably pull that on you several times.
Amber: Party pooper!
Corvus: There was no party.
Amber: Well Corvus, or should I say-
Platinum:*slaps hand over Amber's mouth* Stop giving out spoilers! I know you have the power of prophecy, but please, don't. Unless you want to end up like Phineus!
Dragonfly: On with the story?
Chapter 4
[Camp Misce]
Goldie
"Goldie! Goldie! Goooooooooooooldie!"
Goldie awoke, groaning and almost falling out of bed. "What is it? It's only-" here she checked the alarm clock on her bedside table. "9 o'clock!?"
Goldie dressed and brushed her teeth in record time. It wasn't like her to sleep in this late. With a piece of toast clamped in between her teeth, she rushed out of the cabin.
Black Widow was waiting for her outside the Big Hall. (real creative, right?)
"Emerald's waiting for us inside." he said, not seeming to care about her lateness at all.
Goldie and Black Widow walked slowly towards a room almost at the end of the Hall, on the right, where they held all their praetor discussions. On the left was Emerald's room. No one knew what was in the room in the very back, and nobody was able to break through yet, even with her sword, which can cut through anything, except that door, apparently. Goldie often wondered what was behind it. Rare weapons? Terrible monsters? A secret treasure hoard? Surely something terribly important, incredibly valuable, or extremely dangerous. Maybe all three.
"Come on" said Black Widow nonchalantly. Goldie realized she had stopped walking to stare at the door. She blushed and continued walking. Goldie was a soldier, but somehow, simply talking to her fellow praetor was a nerve-fraying experience. She chided herself. She was a warrior! A Roman! And yet, it still made her feel uneasy. What was wrong with her?
Black Widow opened the door for her. "After you."
Time skip (tribute to Beckendorf)
"Is the matter settled, then?" asked Emerald. Goldie had always found Emerald... strange. Goldie had known Emerald for several years, yet she had never seemed to age. No-one knew how old she was, really. When someone asked her, she'd always jokingly reply, "408 years." But that was impossible, wasn't it? She couldn't possibly be immortal. Goldie had seen her wounded. That blood was not golden.
"Yes." said Black Widow, snapping Goldie out of her reverie. "We will alert them in our own time."
"Like, right now?" asked Goldie. "Or should we wait?"
Emerald sighed fondly. "All in good time, praetor Goldie." she said. "All in good time."
Platinum: Did you like it? Please review!
Amber: Or Plati's gonna be sad again.
Platinum: For the sake of Olympus, SHUT UP!
Amber: *runs off*
Platinum: *rolls eyes* Oh, for the love of Aphrodite. What am I going to do that girl?
