Chapter 48.
March the 23, just nearly an hour before the wedding.
Rory stood there dressed in her wedding gown with her hands on her stomach. She honestly thought this day would never come. Especially everything she and Logan had been through the past year and a half.
She couldn't help but to think back to that awful day when she came home to find Logan lying on the couch exhausted and that day when he got diagnosed.
Flashback just days after the diagnosis.
"Logan, please look at me.. You will beat this and I'm never leaving you." Rory told him while grabbing his hand.
"You don't know that Rory, no one knows. You shouldn't have to see me this way." Logan told her without looking at her.
"Are you saying I should leave..? Because I'm telling you know that even how much this scares me, I will never leave your side because I love you." Rory told him while kissing his hand.
"I don't deserve you Ace.. You are so good to me. And I'm scared." Logan told her while starting to cry.
"I'm scared too, don't ever say that you don't deserve me because you do as much as I deserve you." Rory told him while standing up from the chair and kissed him on his forehead.
Present day, Rory's dressing room.
As she thought back to that time, she couldn't help the tears that was falling down her cheeks. And in that moment she was glad she had gone with the waterproofed makeup.
She looked at the watch and saw it was now only 45 minutes left until she would be walking down the aisle with her dad and seeing Logan again. And how much she looked forward to becoming but most of all becoming Logan's wife.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door, Rory walked towards the door and opened it and there stood no one then Shira Huntzberger.
"Shira, what in the world are you doing here?" Rory asked Shira in shock.
"Actually I came here to apologize for the way that I've treated you since you first came into Logan's life." Shira answered her honestly.
"Why now Shira? Why today of all days did you feel you had to apologize for your behavior?" Rory asked her with annoyance.
"I hadn't planned on it being today but I just felt that I couldn't miss my only sons wedding." Shira answered her.
"Everything you and Mitchum has put both me and Logan through. But mostly all the pressure you've laid on Logan. Do you think all that can just be forgotten?" Rory asked Shira while sliding her gloves on her arms.
"I'm not proud of what I and Mitchum done to Logan and you but I couldn't just sit at home knowing my only son were getting married and I weren't there." Shira answered her with a tear falling down her cheek.
"I will let you be at the service and the reception but you have to promise me that you will make your best to get along with me and Logan. For your grandchild's sake." Rory told her much to Shira's surprise.
"Grandchild? Are you and Logan pregnant?" Shira asked in shock.
"Yes we are. Do you think we at least can try to get along?" Rory answered her.
"We can always try and I can try to be nicer to you considering you soon will be my daughter in law." Shira told her while giving her a hug.
After having talked with Shira for a while, Rory suddenly noticed that the wedding was getting closer and she wondered were her dad were. Suddenly there was another knock on the door.
"Come in." Rory said.
The doors opened and in came Christopher, whom stopped in the doorway. Stunned by how beautiful his little girl looked.
"Dad? You okey?" Rory asked him while smiling.
"Yeah I'm okey, just stunned by how beautiful you look in that dress." Christopher told her while walking over to her and kissed her on her cheek.
"Thanks dad, how is Logan doing?" Rory asked him while grabbing her flower bouquet.
"You could say he's nervous but really excited to see you." Christopher answered her while wrapping his arm around hers.
"We should get going, are the girls waiting by the aisle?" Rory asked him while starting to walk.
"Yes their are just waiting for you." Christopher answered her.
They walked out from the chaining room and walked towards the aisle where both Rosemary and Stephanie were waiting for her.
"Omg Rory you look amazing!" Stephanie exclaimed.
"Thanks Steph. Are they boys standing at the end?" Rory asked them.
"Yes, they are and Logan looks smoking." Rosemary answered her laughing.
We Both Know (the music they had chosen) started to play and that was the signal for Rosemary and Stephanie to walk down the aisle.
When they had reached the end of the aisle, Rory and Christopher started to walk down the aisle. Rory could see the tears streaming down Logan's face, just by seeing him crying made Rory cry as well.
As they reached the end of the aisle, Christopher shook Logan's hand, then he kissed Rory on her cheek. Then he went to sit by Lorelei, once he sat down Lorelei grabbed his hand and they just looked at each other.
The minister started talking about staying together in sickness and in health until death does them part. Then the minister asked them to say their vows to each.
"Rory, Ace. There are no words for how helpful, loving and supportive you were when we both got those life changing news. Logan took a deep breath and continued.
You are and will always be my rock to hold onto, nothing will ever break us up. Because without you I'm nothing." Logan finished his vows.
"Logan, the first time I meet you I thought you just were a spoiled rich boy but as time went by and I started to know you, I realized that underneath you were a wonderful and caring person. As soon as we went into a no strings attached relationship, I realized that I started having feelings for you and those feelings had just grown stronger these past few years. I can not see my life without you, you changed my life forever." Rory finished her vows.
When they both were finished with their vows, the minister said a couple of more things then he said the last few words that would change their lives for ever.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride."
Logan got closer to Rory and kissed her on the mouth, and man was he happy. Finally she was Mrs. Logan Huntzberger. After the had kissed, they walked back down the aisle and all of their family and friends stood up and clapped their hands.
"I love you Mrs. Huntzberger." Logan told her while kissing her on her cheek.
"And I love you Mr. Huntzberger." Rory told him while squeezing his hand.
They outside the church and down the stairs where all their family and friends stood waiting for them. As soon as they got outside, everyone started throwing rise at them and screaming congratulations.
Rory and Logan stopped on the highest step and kissed each other.
They walked down the stairs and started to mingle with their guests. After have greeted a few of the guests, Shira suddenly appeared into of them.
"Mom? What are you doing here?" Logan asked her surprised.
"I just couldn't miss your wedding Logan and I talked with your wife just before the wedding and we come to an understanding." Shira answered him while hugging Rory.
"I'm glad you came mom, it means a lot to me." Logan told her honestly.
