Crowley did not want to wake up, his bed is warm and comfortable but he hears murmuring and neither of the voice sounds like Raphael or his Angel. He tried his best to listen to their conversation but it was too soft for him to make out any word and it soon stopped anyway so he decided to just open his eyes and see who is in his room. He regretted that decision the minute he opened his eyes. Hastur is right in his face and he is grinning widely so he did what anyone would do in his situation, he screamed and fall off the other side of his bed.
"Good morning, Young Lord." Crowley does not like how pleasant Hastur sounds.
"I told you not to scare him!" Sandalphon glared at Hastur. "No one wants to wake up seeing you!"
"What does that mean?" Hastur growled as he turns away from Crowley to glare at Sandalphon.
"Not the brightest are you?" Sandalphon smirked as he crosses his arms.
Crowley did not stick around to see if they will start fighting each other. He quietly sneaks out of the room and heads downstairs to the living room, the rest of them are properly still there. Sadly he runs into one of the Archangels before he even reaches stairs.
"Crowley, why are you still in your pyjamas? And where are Sandalphon and that demon? Oh nevermind, let's get you ready." Michael snaps his fingers to change Crowley's clothes.
Crowley look down and frown, his black pyjamas is changed to a cream coloured suit, but before he can say anything he is picked up by Michael and carried downstairs. Crowley bites his lip to keep himself from snapping at Michael, he really doesn't want to piss off the Warrior Archangel.
Michael carries Crowley to the dining room and sat him down at the head of the table before patting his head. "I'll go check on Sandalphon and that demon. Breakfast should be ready soon."
Crowley watches Michael leave and only turn to the amused angel next to him when he is out of the room. "What the fuck is going on, Aziraphale?" He asked the angel sitting next to him.
"Lucifer and Raphael got into an argument over what's good for you and they kicked everyone out of the living room. The angels still want to talk Raphael into going back to Heaven, the demons can't leave without Lucifer and they can't get into a fight so they started talking, about you. The end result is them coming to the conclusion that you're technically the Antichrist and you should be able to start up Armageddon." Aziraphale tried to keep a straight face but his eyes gave away how amused he is about the whole thing.
"...If I stopped the first Armageddon then what makes them think I would start it myself? "Crowley asked as he rubs his forehead.
"That's why they are being so nice to you." Aziraphale reaches over to pat his friend's shoulder when Crowley covers his face and groan loudly.
"Can you please turn me into my snake form?" Crowley asked when he gathers himself enough to put his hands down.
"Whatever for, Dear?" Aziraphale tilts his head in confusion.
"So I can slither into a hole and sleep until they are gone." Crowley said dryly.
Aziraphale shakes his head. "Sleeping isn't going to make your problem go away, Dear. Why don't we talk to Lucifer and Raphael about it? They should have settled things by now." He said as he got out of his seat.
"Fine. This better work." Crowley got up and gesture to his clothes. "Do you mind?"
Without a word, Aziraphale snapped his fingers and change Crowley's clothes to a simple black shirt and jeans.
"Thank you, Angel." Crowley smiled as he wraps an arm around Aziraphale. "I knew I could count on you!" He pulls Aziraphale into a one-arm hug before letting go and heads towards the door to find Lucifer and Raphael.
Aziraphale blush slightly as he follows Crowley, he should be used to it by now but he still can't help but blush every time Crowley hug him, it makes him feel all warm inside and he wants nothing more than to hug him close and never let go. Aziraphale shakes his head, he can't think like this! Crowley is his best friend and he doesn't want to lose him over a silly crush! *coughlovecough* Besides...he doubt Crowley feels the same...
If God has given Angels the ability to read the mind of others Aziraphale will find that Crowley does indeed love him back but is better at hiding it. But because God did not give them that ability they'll have to figure it out themselves...thank someone these two lovestruck idiots have people around them who are trying to help them figure it out even if they are one step away from helping them confess their love.
Crowley could hear them through the door but he entered anyway, hoping it would make them stop but sadly things don't always go the way he wants. The two of them are still arguing, not even noticing him when he called them so he decided that desperate times call for desperate measures. He took a deep breath to brace himself before letting out a cry of distress, it is the way fledgelings call for their caretakers in case of an emergency, and while they are still able to use it once they are fully grown; they don't because they are raised to believe that they are only considered fully grown once they are able to deal with their own problems without needing their caretakers running to their aid, Crowley was not raised that way. Perhaps it's because he spent the last of his fledgeling years as a demon or perhaps it is because his caretakers is an Archangel and the Devil himself; his cry sounds like a haunting melody but it got Raphael's and Lucifer's attention and they were by his side in less than a minute.
"What happened, Star? Are you hurt?" Raphael asked in worry as she looks him over.
Lucifer on the other hand looks ready to kill someone. "Who hurt you?" He growled, his human nails are slowly turning into claws.
"I'm fine, no one hurt me. I was just trying to get your attention." Crowley dust off his puppy dog eyes and turn it on to full force, knowing if he doesn't play his cards right he will be in trouble. "I woke up to Hastur looking down at me and I've been told that Celestial beings that have never even drunk water before are currently cooking for me. I'm scared, I don't want to die on the toilet." He whimpered softly as he forces his eyes to tear up. "Please make them stop..."
"Oh Star, you don't have to eat anything you don't want to," Raphael said softly as she gently wipes away tears that have fallen before pulling him into a hug, seeing her baby like this made her heartache. Her Star should be beaming with joy and happiness, a scared look does not fit on his face.
Lucifer smirked as he looks down at Crowley, he is impressed with his ability to manipulate Raphael and if he doesn't know Crowley as well as he does he would have fallen for it as well. "You can always throw it at their face."
The slight smile on Crowley's lips proved him right but it was gone before Raphael could see it.
"Lucifer!" Raphael let go of Crowley to glare at her brother. "Simply rejecting the food would be enough, there is no need to be rude!"
Lucifer rolls his eyes. "Like it or not, we are demons and demons are not nice."
"That is no excuse to be rude!" Raphael places her hands on her hips as she gives Lucifer a disappointed look.
"I'm sorry but if you haven't noticed but I am the Devil and Crowley isn't only my son, he is also a demon! He should at least be causing mischief but you and that angel of his are keeping him from misbehaving and it isn't healthy for him to be so well behaved for so long!"
"He has been well behaved for almost a year now and he is perfectly fine!"
"Do you know how many demons would hate him more than they already do for being a goody-two-shoes? I'm going to lay my claim on Crowley when I go back to Hell and make sure he is off-limit but if he doesn't act like a demon someone will get it in their heads that they can try killing him off."
"Why now of all time to claim him? You went more than six thousand years without claiming him so what changed?"
"Oh I don't know, maybe because I almost lost him forever?" Lucifer runs his hand through his hair. "If I have claimed him earlier this won't have happened! He would be sent to me for his punishment and he won't be in a human body now!"
"Lucifer..." Raphael's eyes soften as she places her hand in his shoulder. "He's alright, Brother, he is safe." She said softly.
Crowley back out of the room and closed the door quietly, this seems like something he shouldn't butt in on. "Well, that went well." He said dryly.
Aziraphale, who was watching it all quietly, smiling softly. "At least they have stopped yelling at each other."
Crowley nods his head. "Yeah, but I still have to deal with them..." He sighs sadly. "Let's go back before they realise we're not there any more."
Aziraphale hesitates for a while before reaching out to wrap his arm around Crowley's and smiled at him as they walk back to the dining room.
Crowley is surprised but smiled back and lean closer to Aziraphale as he let himself be lead back.
Crowley sighs loudly as he looks down at the food placed in front of him.
"What wrong, Young Lord? Izzz the food not to your liking?" Beelzebub asked when they saw the look on Crowley's face.
"The bacon is burnt, at least I think it is supposed to be bacon, and the eggs look like you left it under the sun for a month." Crowley looks over to Aziraphale only to see the pain written all over his Angel's face.
"I told you that we zzhouldn't have cooked it for zzzo long!" Beelzebub glare at Gabriel as they kick his leg.
"How was I supposed to know it was too long?" Gabriel hissed as he rubs his leg. "I said we should have gotten a human that can cook!"
Crowley sighs softly as he stood up while carrying the plate of 'food'. "All of you shut up and take a seat!" He hissed as he glare at them.
"How dare-" Gabriel stopped when Beelzebub elbow him in the stomach to get him to shut up.
"Thank you, Lord Beelzebub. Now all of you sit, we'll show you what real food looks like. Come on, Angel." Crowley wave Aziraphale over before walking out of the dining room and into the kitchen.
Crowley is back in the dining room, Aziraphale and himself is back in their adult bodies and sitting at the dining table with pancakes he made with Aziraphale's help in front of them.
"This is what breakfast is supposed to look like, not hard and burnt." Crowley shakes his head at the Angels as they look at the food with disgust, at least the Demons are eating. "Now, what do you want? I am not starting the Armageddon, it doesn't matter that I am technically the Antichrist now."
Beelzebub opens their mouth to say something only to be stopped by Gabriel. "Ignoring the Armageddon, we would like to offer you the chance to be purified and return to Heaven."
Crowley rolls his eyes. "You are only offering that because you want Raphael to return to Heaven and she is not going back if I'm not there and sorry to burst your bubble but I am quite happy as I am."
Gabriel narrowed his eyes and forced a smile. "Won't you at least think about it?"
"Yeah...no thanks. I'm staying as I am and I am staying where I am." Crowley said before he started eating the pancakes. He isn't as interested in food as Aziraphale but he is sadly still human so he needs to eat. "If you try to force me to be an Angel again and take me away there will be war...that won't happen on earth." He warned, he knows that Lucifer won't be too happy if he is an Angel.
"He won't be able to do anything if you agreed to it." Michael pointed out. "He would have to respect your wishes."
"But the thing is, I am perfectly happy as a Demon. I finished my fledgeling years as a Demon and this is what I am comfortable with." Crowley smirked as he leans against the table. "Nothing you say can change my mind."
"Change your mind on what?" Lucifer asked as he entered the room with Raphael.
"Being a Demon," Crowley said as he looks up and waves his hand. "So you two made up?"
"What do you mean?" Lucifer narrows his eyes and ignores Crowley's question.
"...Gabriel offered to make me an Angel again," Crowley said softly, he doesn't want a fight to break out so he signals Aziraphale to turn him back to his current age when Lucifer turn to Gabriel with anger in his eyes. He jumps out of his seat and runs up to hug Lucifer. "But I turned him down! Please don't be mad, Lucy..." He begged as he looks up at him with his big brown eyes, using his young age to his advantage.
Lucifer looks down at Crowley and he can't help letting out a sigh as he bends down to pick Crowley up. "You are lucky Crowley is here to save your ass." He glares at his ex-siblings as he holds Crowley close.
"To answer your question, Crowley, we have decided to share custody like what the human does. You'll spend most of your time with me as your primary caregiver and Lucifer will be able to come to spend time with you whenever your human parents aren't around." Raphael explained to Crowley as she gently runs her hand through his hair.
Crowley frowned at them. "You two know that I am not actually a fledgeling, right? I am a fully grown Demon."
"How much mischief do you think you can get into with two Angels around?" Lucifer smirked as he sat down in Crowley's previous seat next to a very nervous Aziraphale.
"...On another hand, it has been a long time since I've spent time with Lucifer, it would be nice to be able to spend time with him." Crowley said to the amusement of Lucifer. He loves his Angels but it isn't natural for a Demon to be well behaved for so long and he would be able to let that energy out with Lucifer...hopefully, he doesn't take things too far...well he'll cross that bridge when they get there.
