Stating that the members of the two teams of Huntsmen- and Huntresses-in-training, Team RWBY and JNPR, were nervous and a bit upset about being awoken and told to prepare for deployment into the Emerald Forest in the middle of the night was quite an understatement. This was particularly true for the W of Team RWBY, Weiss Schnee, and the N of Team JNPR, Nora Valkyrie.
As the two teams entered the respective Bullhead aerial transports, the R and leader of Team RWBY, Ruby Rose asked Professor Goodwitch, who was sharing the same Bullhead as Team RWBY, for a briefing on what was going on.
"Professor, what do we know of the situation?" Asked the silver eyed Huntress-in-training.
"Not much I'm afraid. All we know is that two girls, estimated to be at the age of seventeen or so, are currently fighting off a massive hoard of Grimm." Replied the blonde professor, before calling the headmaster on her scroll. "Professor Ozpin."
"Yes?" Inquired the headmaster on the opposite end of the call.
"What's the status of the two girls?"
"Well, the two have engaged with the Deathstalkers in combat… and the Grimm are losing. And there goes the first one. I'd say that the two should be finished with the Deathstalkers at least by the time you arrive."
"Any confirmed injuries?"
"Only for the Grimm and possibly a few scratches and a bit of chipping on the girls weapons, but the girls themselves have yet to receive even a single scratch. I'm starting to doubt it'll be anything left for you guys by the time you arrive."
"That's… reassuring."

About an hour or so later, the two teams and professional Huntress had almost reached the airspace above the opening in the forest where the two girls were fighting the Grimm. Despite it being in the middle of the night, the shine of the scattered moon in the night sky lighting up the opening, allowing the Hunters to see the two girls killing a pair of Creeps. The loud noise of the two Bullheads engines made both the girls and the Grimm pause for a very brief moment and turn their heads towards the aerial transports… before the girl wearing a tattered hoodless cloak swung her sword and decapitated a nearby Beowolf.
Something that prompted the other girl to swing her massive halberd in a wide sweeping horizontal arc from left to right in front of her. Hitting a total of three Beowolves. The first Beowolf got stuck on the halberd's blade by the waist, until it hit the second one and got cleaved in half. The process repeated itself for the second Beowolf. The third one though didn't get stuck on the halberd's blade. Instead of getting stuck on the halberd, like the previous two, it was sent flying into a low tree branch. Getting impaled through the chest by said tree branch.
As the chaos on the ground reignited, the only proper Huntress amongst the passengers on the Bullheads signaled the pilots of the Bullheads to open the hatches.
"I doubt I need to tell you what to do." Said Glynda via a communicator to the Huntsmen- and Huntresses-in-training, as it would be rather pointless to talk if you couldn't be heard due to the loud noise of the engines. Said Huntsmen- and Huntresses-in-training simply nodded in confirmation before jumping out of their respective Bullheads. Joining the fray down below.

Using Beowolves to cushion their falls, the Huntsmen- and Huntresses-in-training teams, Team RWBY and Team JNPR, joined the fray. Their first kills being the Beowolves they used to cushion their falls, before quickly moving on to other Grimm. As the teams fought the Grimm alongside the two strangers, the B of Team RWBY, Blake Belladonna, kept sending said strangers a few glances, taking in their appearances.
She couldn't help but notice that the stranger with the tattered cloak had a similar appearance to her teammate, Weiss Schnee, albeit with a more developed figure. Like Weiss, the stranger had very pale skin, a lot of which was very visible due to the revealing outfit. Even the eye color (at least for the eye that was visible, the left eye) was the same color as Weiss. Something that caught Blake's attention was the stranger's gas mask, which actually reminded her of a menpō, or samurai mask, she saw once in a history book. The gas mask was clearly designed for both function and protection, unlike a menpō which was used as both protection but mostly intimidation (A/N: The purifier mask is of the same as the one that Mia Karnstein wears). Something that Blake only managed to catch minor glimpses of, due to the tattered cloak, was something that appeared to be a blood red tattoo on the stranger's left arm. A notable difference between the stranger and the girl she had a similar appearance with was that while the stranger, like Weiss, did wield a one-handed sword, it wasn't a rapier but of a broader design.
While that one of the two strangers had a figure comparable to Blake's own, the stranger's companion had a definitely more developed one. She was bigger than Yang! And seemed to sport a similar level of strength given the size of the halberd she was wielding. The fact that she wasn't struggling wielding it made it clear that neither she nor her companion was compensating for anything, that their respective weapons of choice were just that, weapons of choice.

After about a whole hour of what can pretty easily be described as nothing short of a slaughter, the two teams of hunters and the two strangers finally saw an end to the hoard of the Grimm. Said teams were rather exhausted and wouldn't have minded in the slightest bit to go to bed in their dorms. The two strangers on the other hand didn't look tired at all, a bit out of breath at most but not really tired. Once the hunters caught their breaths, the R of Team RWBY, Ruby Rose, took it upon herself to address the two strangers.
"Uhm. Hi." Said Ruby, earning the attention of the two strangers, who turned their heads towards the silver eyed Huntress-in-training. As the stranger, who was wearing a black and purple checkers patterned cap on her head, turned towards Ruby, she moved some of her hair out of her face, revealing a scar that ran diagonally across the stranger's right eye and probably continued down her cheek that was hidden under the gas mask. The eye was however not open.
"Greetings, chibi." Replied the stranger with, based on the expression on what could be seen of her face, a smirk, poking fun at the silver eyed girl's height, as the stranger was taller than Ruby. Something that, literally, caused the R of Team RWBY to trip on her own feet, something that the stranger released a giggle at the shorter girl's expense. Which caused the other stranger to pull the first stranger's cap over her eyes. "Io!"
"Be nice Jackie. They helped us fight off those things." Stated the more buxom stranger, who's name was apparently Io, to her companion, who's name was apparently Jackie. Once Jackie corrected her cap's position on her head, she sent her companion a one-eyed look. Io on the other hand just sent her companion a deadpanned look. "Enough Jackie. Stop pouting and apologize to the girl."
"Meanie."
"Jackie…"
"Alright! Look chibi, sorry for the jab at your height."
"It's fine. You're not the first to call me short and I doubt you'll be the last one either."
"Yeah! The only one who gets to call my little sis short is me!" Exclaimed the Y of Team RWBY and the leader's older sister, Yang Xiao Long, who crossed her arms under her big chest while nodding in confirmation, making her… assets bounce in the process. Something that earned the blonde an offended noise from her leader and a snot from the smaller stranger.
"Not impressed blondie. There's a bigger pair right beside me and they belong to someone I wouldn't mind in the slightest calling my girlfriend." Deadpanned Jackie at the blonde. Earning a surprised noise from Io and a blush hidden underneath the golden amber eyed girl's mask.
"You mean that Jackie?"
"Of course I do! Have I ever lied before?"
"Well… there was that time where you stole some booze from Yakumo's stash and said that someone else broke into the base and stole it."
"Oh come on! He was already drunk when I told him and his reaction was hilarious! Besides, I gave most of it back."
"True, but not before trying some of it yourself and getting drunk after a single shot of sake. Seriously. You can't handle alcohol."
"This is coming from the girl who's tolerance is through the roof? Seriously. You had an entire bottle of brandy and it only made you lightheaded!"
"Fair enough."
While the two masked girls continued to, what appeared to be, playfully bicker with each other, professor Goodwitch arrived on the scene, sending the Huntsmen- and Huntresses-in-training a questioning look. To which the J, P and R of Team JNPR, Jaune Arc, Pyrrha Nikos and Lie Ren respectively, just shrugged. Clearing her throat rather loudly made the two masked girls stop their bickering and turn their attention towards the Huntress. The first one to say anything after about a minute of silence was Jackie.
"Who the hell are you supposed to be?" The rather rude greeting prompted Io to pull Jackie's cap over the half-blind girl's eyes again. "Io!"
"I've told you so many times to be nice and respectful when you greet someone you don't know that I've lost track." Stated Io in a tone that made it clear that she was clearly annoyed by the fact.
"Meanie."
"Jackie…"
"*sigh* this is gonna be a long night." Exclaimed Professor Goodwitch, who was clearly annoyed by the masked girls' antics, while taking her glasses off and massaging her temples.
