A day out
A guest asked for a oneshot of *6x02 spoilers!* Emma succeeding in taking her parents out of Storybrooke.
Snow and Charming had never been in the world outside of Storybrooke. They weren't happy that to other people, it looked like they were running from the Count. But Emma promised them Regina would have dealt with the Count by nightfall. That did set them at ease slightly, seeing as Neal was still in town.
So, since they only had a few hours of freedom, Snow and Charming decided to make the most of it. Emma drove them into Aroostook County. There was at least a few things for Snow and Charming to do there. There was a Science Museum that they were able to have a nosey around for a couple of hours. Emma then decided to treat her parents. After all, she didn't know how long she'd be able to treat them for. So she took them to a nice Italian restaurant. Granny's was great and all, but it didn't leave much choice for eating out. Emma felt it was important for her parents to be able to relax after the morning they had. How many other people could say they had a literary character actually trying to murder them in the morning?
Emma had been right. She received a call from Regina by eight pm saying that account had been taken care of. Something in her voice told Emma that something had went wrong, but that was a problem for later.
"That was Regina." Emma said as she hung up. "We're good to go."
"Shame." Charming said. "I could have done with a couple more hours of a serial killer being after us." He joked. Snow laughed as well.
"True, but it'll be good getting back to Neal." She smiled up at Emma. "Thanks for such a lovely day, Emma, it's been too long since we got to spend some time with you."
"You deserved it. Must have been a little stressful having someone try to kill you." Her parents didn't seem bothered.
"Wouldn't be the first time."
