I groaned softly before opening my eyes. Still darkness clouded my vision. I felt the strong gentle sway of an animal underneath me and a strong figure supporting my back so I wouldn't fall off. I reached out below me to feel the smooth fur then thick coarse hair that made up a mane. I was on a horse. Bells jingled softly below me but they soon stopped when the horse halted.

"Shyra, are you awake?" Glorfindel asked, I turned my head away from him and he said nothing. I felt him drop the reins and slide off the horse's back behind me.

"Where am I?" I asked coldly.

"Rivendell, the house of Elrond. Let me help you down and I will carry you inside the palace to be treated for your wounds." he said, I felt him grab my waist but I slapped his hand and he jerked them away.

"I can walk by myself." I snapped darkly, Glorfindel hesitated, his arms still hovering near me.

"Then let me help you down." he said, I was sitting sideways on the horse so I should just be able to slide off and land on both of my feet.

"No." I said and started to slide off the horse's back. When my feet hit the ground I lost balance before falling on my side. The horse shifted to the right a touch but didn't really shy I don't think. I felt hands on my shoulders but I swatted them away.

"Don't help me!" I snapped again, I heard him step back a little bit, giving me space to stand.

I slowly crawled to my feet and stood up, my hand reached out toward my right and I felt the warm smooth fur of the horse. I used it to kind of balance me a little. I took a step forward and then another slowly, making sure I didn't trip and die on anything. I again felt Glorfindel's presence near me. I reached out and found his chest again and shoved him back.

"I don't need your help!" I shouted, the world around me grew silent for a moment. No birds chirped, no people spoke. Silence. And I was in the center of it. I took another step forward, then another.

"Tree." Glorfindel spoke, but I pulled up a second too late. I collided into what seemed like a rough, hard pillar.

"Ow!" I muttered and staggered back, placing my hands on my throbbing head. I heard laughing above me somewhere and I tilted my head upward toward the sound.

"Hey! You bastards want to come down here so I can beat you senseless!" I shouted, I heard high pitched gasping sounds above me.

"Uh...they were women…" Glorfindel said.

"I don't care, I'm still going to kick their a-" I was cut off when I felt a hand around my arm that yanked me forward.

"Three minutes here and you are already causing trouble."
