Taunting- part 2
EmmaAthena2013 asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2118 "Taunting" where everyone calms down enough they've taken all their frustration and anger out on Snow. They have to come up with a way to apologise because they see her depressed because of what happened.
It didn't take long for Emma, Charming and Henry to realise that they had really hurt Snow with how snippy they were with her at the diner. Yes, the Evil Queen had added to her pain, but none of them knew that. All they saw over the next couple of days was Snow becoming more and more distant. She spoke less, and her usual air of calm and hope seemed to have vanished into thin air. This just wasn't the Snow they knew and loved, and they had to do something about it. Fast. So they put their differences aside- the bickering could be sorted out another day- to make Snow smile again. They decided to do this by showing a united front through making her a classy three course meal, each taking their own course and using some of what they knew to be Snow's favourite dishes. Henry made mini crab cakes for a starter. Charming made seafood paella for the main and Emma made a chocolate mousse for dessert. Safe to say, Snow was shocked when she came home that evening and found the meal waiting for her, along with her family waiting on her hand and foot.
"This is just our way of apologising for the other night." Charing explained as he tucked Snow's chair in for her.
"We were out of line, and we know it." Henry added as he set up the cutlery for her starter.
"So we put this together for you in the hopes that you'll forgive us…and that we might even see a smile." Emma said as she poured a glass of wine for her mom. Snow was so shocked that she didn't notice her family waiting to see if she'd smile or not for a good few moments. Then, she relieved them all by breaking out into a massive grin.
"Of course you're all forgiven. There was no need to go to so much trouble…"
"There was every need." Charming cut in. "We were very rude to you, and as such it's important we make up for that. We hope this is enough." Snow kissed her husband's cheek, smiling at her daughter and grandson.
"It's more than enough. Thank you for all the effort you've all put in. It smells delicious." Snow assured them. She relaxed slightly into her chair. The thoughts of what the Evil Queen had taunted her with ebbing away slightly. Maybe her family wasn't quite as doomed as she had made out.
