Emma's sick- part 2

loboselina asked for a oneshot of a sequel to Ch2120 "Emma's sick" where Emma's at the hospital and trying to convince her parents to let her sign herself out.

If you haven't read their loboselina's stories, I recommend you go check them out ASAP. Especially Breathless. In fact, I'm going to be a little cheeky in the hopes that it pays off and you like it haha.

"Absolutely not." Charming said firmly. He couldn't believe Emma was even thinking of doing something so reckless.

"Oh come on." Emma complained. "I haven't been sick in almost twelve hours. I'm fine now. I just need some bedrest."

"You mean like you were fine back when you started those asthma attacks and ended up in here for weeks?" Snow added in. Emma fell silent. "I thought so. You're only not being sick because the doctors are pumping you full of antibiotics and painkillers through a drip. They don't even know what's causing the sickness yet Emma. You're not going anywhere." Emma crossed her arms huffily on the hospital bed. She hated being here. Hated the smell. Hated the food. Hated the company in this stupid ward.

"I don't actually need your permission." She grumbled. "I can sign myself out of here without you telling me that I can." Emma suddenly felt only ten inches tall at the looks both of her parents were giving her.

"Yes Emma. Legally we have no power to stop you signing yourself out of here. Even if we know you'll end up back here within a couple of days ten times worse." Charming said in a quiet, dangerous voice. Emma sunk back into her pillows. "But know this. If you leave her, things will not be easier for you at home. We don't have the medical equipment the hospital have. This means someone will be in your room with you all the time to make sure you aren't choking on your own vomit. You won't be going back to your house. You'd be coming back to your old room. Consider your options, Emma. Think very carefully." Emma sighed. She knew they were right.

"But I hate it here." She complained. Now that, her parents could sympathise with.

"We know you do." Snow said gently as she tucked some of Emma's hair behind her ear. "But when you're sick it's the best place for you to be. We don't like you being here either. It's sucky and it's scary wondering if you'll take another turn like you did when Killian called us. But at least if you're here we know you're in the best possible hands. So please Emma, stay here for us?" Snow pleaded with her. Emma nodded glumly. It wouldn't be fair to burden them with her when she should still be here. Charming reached down and kissed her forehead.

"Good choice Em. We'll be here as much as we can." He leaned in right to her ear. "I'll even bring you Granny's grilled cheese for dinner tonight."

"I can hear you, you know." Snow said, sounding more amused than annoyed. Emma and Charming laughed with her. None of them particularly liked this situation, but it wouldn't last forever. Emma would be home soon, and then Snow and Charming could resume their roles as chief caretakers.
