Chapter Two
It didn't take long for me to lay down roots in Nashville. I got a nice apartment near the main drag of bars and clubs. They often host a variety of scouts looking for new talent. It worked out well since I was close enough to walk to many of the nearby clubs and bars.
I often think about the many mistakes I made when it came to Tanya. Don't get me wrong, Tanya was a beautiful girl, but three years is a long time to waste on somebody that's just looking for a pretty boy as arm candy and to waste her daddy's money.
I am grateful, however. After all, because of her I did get a great job at her father's firm and made good money while there. Saving a huge portion of my paycheck while working there, I'm now able to go for it, chase my dreams, and not have to worry about rent.
Since I didn't really need to work, I got a job here working at one of the clubs in town, the Volturi. It's one of the popular clubs and a lot of big names come through. I've been able to network and make some great friends and contacts. Ironically, it's also where I met my band members/roommates
I got a three-bedroom apartment that was, by a twist of fate, cheaper than a one-bedroom. The add just so happened to be priced incorrectly, and there may have been threats of a lawsuit for false advertisement thrown in there. Let's just say, I have a place for my family or sister, in case they visit. That changed when I met Emmett McCarty and Jasper Whitlock. I met them during my first week here.
They were already working at the club when I started working there. They were homeless after moving here to chase their dreams from small towns in Texas and Tennessee. They each had been living out of their vehicles and were taking showers wherever they could, occasionally springing for a hotel to shower in. It was originally only supposed to be for three months, then they never moved out. I didn't mind, though. They're good company and we can save a ton of money this way. Plus, we have written a ton of music since being together. These are the times I enjoy the most. It's actually really freeing.
There are times I think I'm ready for another long-term relationship, but right now, I'm just enjoying the freedom of the random one-night-stands. That's pretty much how the three of us roll. After all, we're three pretty hot guys, or so we've been told. In a town like Nashville, with lots of drunk tourists means we can love 'em and leave em.
But deep down, it's not really what I want. I know that my girl is out there somewhere.
Knowing my luck, she will come at me like a hurricane.
Where is she?
When will I meet her?
