As much as I want to keep this girl in my arms, I need to let her go. Before I let her go though I whisper in her ear.
"I would love to continue that dance later. However, you see fit." She is still red and her breath is heavy.
I help her back down to the main level where Alice and her other friend is. Alice can barely keep her calm. I look over at my parents who I forgot where here and my Mom is shocked. Frankly, so am I. The first time that my parents see me play is when I meet a girl that knocks any sense I have in me out of me. Which trust me, is not much. My Dad, on the other hand, is giving me a look somewhere between 'that's my son! Go get her!' And 'shit! This is not going to end well.'
I turned to Emmett and Jasper, who have done well in saying nothing at all. I am shocked.
"Well now. That has never happened before! Thank you for that lovely dance, me lady!" I say with a bow. "Alright, boys! What song are we doing next?" I look over at Jasper and he sees Alice and is awestruck. Emmett gets up from the drums to get himself a beer and stops right in front of the blonde of the group.
"Well then, I am thinking we are taking requests! Anyone have a request?" I look around the room and see my Dad with a shit-eating grin. "Sir?" Pointing at Dad.
"'When You Say Nothing At All'. Dedicated to my lovely wife and your Mom. Maybe the girls that I think you have fallen for." He laughs and Mom hits him, giving him a look.
"Thanks, Dad. Ma, this is from Dad to you. Remember, your children are in the room." The bar laughs. "As for the ladies, the night is young and so are we. Maybe we found our forever. Maybe we found some friends. Mind y'all, one is my sister. So...yeah. and now, Keith Whitley's 'When You Say Nothing At All'. For the people who gave me life." I say with a nod we start.
Mom and Dad are dancing. So are many other couples. I kept my eyes on the beautiful brown-eyed girl in front of me. The way she is swaying to the music, makes me smile.
She looks up at me and I can see the hint of a slight blush. Her eyes look lost and hurt. It takes everything I have to not stop performing and hold her close to me. I trudge through the love song. When it is over there are several cheers from the audience. My parents seem happy as they are the loudest besides Alice.
It made me happy for my family here supporting me.
No matter what the future holds, I am ready for it.
Let the games begin.
The End...

A/N:
Thank you all for reading this story! I wrote this for the Austrian Wild Fires Comp and enjoyed it. While I normally would end this differently and have some kind of how does this story ends in 50 years, I am leaving it open. I am debating writing a second part to this with another country song. Suggestions are welcome! As always, I love comments and messages! Stay safe and be on the lookout on 2-13-21. FAGE stories are coming! And if the banners are any indication, we are in for a treat!
As always, I do not own Twilight or T-R-O-U-B-L-E.
