The new day dawned, and Kana awoke with it.

She peered down at the sleeping children, before turning around and leaving the cave. Her current size enabled her a wider line of sight as well as larger strides. After looking for a while, she saw her current objective. Making her way there, with earth-shaking footsteps, she grabbed the unfortunate wild pig and carried it back to the mouth of the cave, before depositing it at there. Once the children woke up, she was sure they'd appreciate her gift.

She had urges to eat one of them from time to time, but she always stomped those down. She didn't need to eat them, so she could wait until Zeke comes, and only then would she give in to those urges. She thought about many things. The Warriors' real parents reminded her of her own parents back home. Hers didn't really care about her either. They weren't home that often, and when they were, they yelled at her for the smallest things. In a way, Kana was glad she was here instead. Or would be, if it weren't for the fact that this was a crapsack world.

There was one bright spot in all of this. She looked at the sleeping children, and smiled. Or at least she made the motion. She didn't know whether Pure Titans could smile or not. True, she had seen many smile creepily at their prey. Then again, she was different from the norm. Most Titans won't hesitate to eat one of those three, but she resisted the urge. It was like the original Titan's will was fighting with Kana's own.

She heard a yawn, and realized that her kids were waking up. Kana knew that they had parents and families back in Marley, but those parents didn't deserve them. Any parents that would condemn their own children to an early grave just for their own personal gain weren't parents, at least not in Kana's eyes.

Time passed, and Kana taught the kids various skills required to survive in the wild. She thought them how to cook various foods provided by the ocean, and she often brought them wild game from the mainland as well. In her current form, she had the strength to bring down big animals, such as bears.

Which brought them to where they were now. Bertolt was skinning the latest game she brought. Reiner was sitting cross-legged by the shore, looking at a particularly interesting clam shell. He then raised his hand a bit and a surprised sound left his mouth. Kana lumbered over to him.

'What did you see?' she wrote

"Just an approaching ship."

'Return to the cave.' she wrote 'I will take care of this.'

Reiner obeyed, joining Annie and Bertolt in the cave.

Kana stayed by the shoreline. Once the ship was closer, she could make out two figures on the prow, and was able to recognize them as the ones she had been waiting for. But why...why did they come early? Was it so Zeke would have more time to enact his master plan?

Either way, Kana intended to make sure he didn't have a chance to. Immediately after the ship docked, Kana lunged, taking advantage of her element of surprise and the fact that they were busy. She grabbed Zeke and Pieck and ran away, ignoring the surprised shouts of their companions.
