Queen Emma

Twilightroxas7 asked for a oneshot of *season 6 spoilers!* all the realms merging- including the Land of Untold Stories- and Emma becoming the new queen.

Emma tried to maintain a cool composure, but the constant tapping of her foot against the rosewood flooring gave away her nerves. Today was the day it became official. Today was the day Emma moved from Saviour and Sheriff to Queen.

When the Evil Queen's plan had failed and all the realms were brought together, widening Storybrooke, anarchy began. The rulers of each kingdom within each realm arranged painstakingly long meetings day after day to try and come up with a solution to bring peace and harmony. Eventually one was agreed upon: that although each realm would have its own individual rulers, and overarching ruler was needed. The problem was, who to choose? Each realm had more than enough of their own suitable candidates. When the cases for all were put forward, one name stood out amongst the rest, Emma. She was a Saviour, the product of true love and already of royal blood herself. She had a suitable heir already for when she stepped down and had already shown excellent leadership skills. Emma, wasn't as confident, but it appeared didn't really have much choice. So now here she was, the day of her coronation. She sat in the elegant dress her mother had handpicked herself, foot tapping nervously against the floor.

Snow and Charming shared a look. They couldn't send Emma out to that balcony like this.

"Hey," Snow said, taking Emma's hand and squeezing it. "It's going to be ok." She promised her. "I felt the same way, so did your father. You were born for this. You need to remember that."

"It's bad enough thinking I was meant to rule over a kingdom." Emma groaned. "I'm meant to be the boss of hundreds of them now! Heck, am I meant to lord it over you guys?" Emma pointed out. She didn't feel comfortable knowing she might have to overrule her parents at some point, something she had already made known.

"Again, we'll cross that bridge only if we come to it." Charming assured her calmly. "You're not doing this alone. We're all still here to support you. You wouldn't have been chosen if we didn't think you would do an amazing job, sweetheart. The people are happy with our choice. You will rule fairly and equally. It's going to be alright, you'll see. You'll be a dab hand at it. I guarantee it." Charming kissed the top of Emma's head. "We'll be right with you on that balcony. Nothing's going to go wrong. You're overthinking things…"

"Your Highnesses?" The family all looked up to see a nervous looking pageboy. "Sorry to interrupt, but it's time." Snow and Charming nodded, getting up. They each offered a hand to Emma, smiling encouragingly.

"Let's go, Queen Emma." Snow said proudly. Emma gulped, trying to make sure she didn't vomit as she allowed her parents to help her up. She took a few calming breaths as she began to walk with them. Ready or not, this was it.
